Harsh Price Increases, Discourtesy and ignored by customer service.
We have a gmelius subscription since 2020, and found it's shared inbox, assignment, and open/closed functionality really helpful running our small business.
Ok, it's sometimes slow for an email to update it's status, but given it has to work within the limitations imposed by GMail, it does a pretty good job.
However, our annual subscription increased by 3x this year. I received a renewal reminder email as usual, but no notice of this massive increase, and so the payment went out automatically. I only saw the price hike when looking at a bank statement.
I know that Gmelius has introduced lots of AI functionality in the last year or two, but I don't need these features for my business, and so now gmelius has become very poor value for money for me.
I think it's really discourteous and sneaky to hike the prices of existing subscriptions by such a large amount without communicating it to customers first.
I contacted the company asking why I wasn't notified of the price increase. I was told that in their T&Cs they reserve the right to do this. Nonetheless, it shows a lack of respect for their customers.
I've now written twice asking to cancel my subscription and for a refund of my recent renewal. They haven't had the manners to reply to me.
Given that the original product was fine, I can't speak to what value the AI features give, and the lack of respect of long standing customers - two stars.
