Disgusting Company -AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Filthy Cars, Terrible inept Customer Service and junior management. They will sneakily charge you 2.5 times the mileage if you book for less than 6 hours, even if you want a car for longer. I recommend YUKÕ as they have clean cars at a fair price.

USA TRAVELERS AVOID!!

Completed the verification process and submitted all docs accurately. In the U.S. you generally have to renew your driver’s license every 5 years. At the bottom right of your license it will say ISS (issue date) which is the date you RENEWED your license. The company declined to issue me a vehicle because they stated I haven’t held a full license for two years. My REISSUE date was 10/19/2022. Although I’ve held a full license since I was 16 years old (34 years) they declined me due to their unfamiliarity with U.S. driver’s licenses. The only way to rent with them is if your ISS date at the bottom of your license is nearing your expiration date. Then you’ll have had your license long enough for these asshats. If you just got it renewed, or did so less than two years ago, you’ll be declined.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Do not bother. If I could give a minus star I would. Poor customer service, validation process takes too long, (48 hours more like over a week) response times are too long and even when you do receive a reply it’s unhelpful. You have to speak with so many people before getting the right answer. You are better off renting a car through kayak and for extra 9 Euro you can get excess insurance with AIG to have nil responsibility. Not worth the hassle and headache.

Lately facing lot of issues with Gocar

Lately facing lot of issues with Gocar.
I have booked for a full day yesterday 03-06-2023. I booked days before for the amount of 85+20(insurance)=85 paid straight away. Yesterday when I went to get the car I faced issues straight away I could not start the car and for some reason in the app said end of journey from start, so already lost time 20 min of my time, straight away i contacted customer support which she was very nice and helped me to resolve the problem by cancelling that previous booking and adding credit to my account so had to book again, and all good up to there. The big issue starts when I brought the car back even earlier. The charged me a amount that has nothing to do with my booking. I was supposed to be charged only 47.20 for the extra km done, which I did in total 286km -50km free that is 236km which I had to due to them was only 47.20 eu, but thei charged me 217eu plus the 85 already paid.
They try to rip you

Avoid please GoCar Ireland

Avoid please GoCar Ireland! Worst experience ever! They give you cars without valid Tax Disc and valid NCT Disc!!! And if you tell this the costumer service, you get rude, wrong and annoying answers instead of a refund for not using the car as it was WITHOUT tax disc and NCT. I am wondering how a company can act and react like this. They take your money out of your pocket for nothing.

worst customer service worst resolutions - if you have an issue with the car you are on your own and still will pay

The car had some issues with the battery.I got to collect the car go for a coffee and then when I stopped the car, the battery died. I had to wait for over two hours for the mechanic to arrive in Dublin city centre. All this at the beginning of my trip but go car offered 0 support and I am still being charged by over two hours that I had to wait for the mechanic to arrive (the car at my door home) no trip, no use, had 2 wait 2 hours and I got charged 37 euros for the time I was waiting for the gocar mechanic to arrive. Did I have to pay your mechanics as well?

GoCar knows how to keep their customers

We booked, rented a car from GoCar.
The day before we were supposed to pick it up they canceled our booking!
Hotel, prebooked tickets to some attractions and traintickets could not be canceled with such short notice.
They claimed the battery was dead and it would take 3 days to change it! Yes, well they probably think we are stupid.
So thank you so very much for ruin our holiday. No wonder you have such good reviews. I have still not been refunded for the money I paid.

The Gocar hemat is just a show

The Gocar hemat is just a show , it never appears. Then when you order the other car with a higher price suddenly drivers pick up the order. Then they show they are near and when you are waiting they suddenly cancel the order. Then you wait and order again. If you want to get to the airport or an emergency never order Go ar

Maliciously cancelled booking the night before

I booked a car on europcar. I was told it would be managed by GoCar.
The night before I was due to pick up the car, it still said it would be 48hours to verify my details. I asked what I'm supposed to do, and the company maliciously cancelled the booking. Disgusting behaviour from disgusting people. I'm glad they only get 1 star reviews, because they deserve nothing more.

The car was located 500 metres away…

The car was located 500 metres away from the location. I discovered that only when I was at the location. you cannot talk directly to an operator but going through chats or pre-recording messages. Called customer service and waited 5-7 minutes to talk to a member. They are also very rude. Obviously no care for customers. Also had issue when I returned the car. The car could not lock. Had to call again customer service and talked to another untrained agent (Alona). She was only able to tell me that everything Go Car does is in line with their terms and conditions. Customer service in more than one occasion offered me credit and time, I never received any of those. Only "apologies". They obviously lie. There is no training to CS and this Company will clearly go out of business soon. I am exploring other options. Do not rent anymore to them!

Very disappointed

Could not get access to the car @ 7am electronic problem. Had to wait until 8.15am for the help desk to open. A van was booked for me in another location. Travelled there collection of van @ 9.15am then Travelled to my original starting point. Lost 4 hours work. Customers disappointed & now we have to try & make alternative arrangements with them.

Rated 1 because you can't rate 0, iv used gocar a number of times without any issue, I hired a gocar from a Dundalk location after breaking down in my own car on the 12th of December from 230pm to 830pm, I dropped it back to the same spot as I picked it up as per instructions, it was 830pm which is outside pre pay parking hours, a few weeks later I received a parking ticket that was issued on the 13th of Dec at 1535pm, yes I was the last to have the car but how can anyone predict how long before the next customer is due, id love to know if many others have had this issue? To say I'm fuming is an understatement, iv been onto a solicitor and I will take this as far as I have to

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Applied 15 days ago, uploaded 6 times selfie with driving licence. Phone calls where no one is willing to help you. I am still not approved without knowing why. Now I don t need the car anymore. Not recommanded. Avoid them

Worst customer service ever.

If you want the worst customer relations experience you are ever likely to have. GoCar is for you. They make Ryanair look like the gold standard. Don’t believe the BS about 24/48 hour approval for your license. Mine was finally approved after 35 days. So if you want to book a car next summer, start now!

Rubbish

Rubbish - impossible to complete profile due to moronic selfie requests. Uploaded approx 7 selfies (everything readable) - they still rejected it. Uploaded Irish Driving license - they ask for copy of IDP, for real ? For comparison, It was way easier to open an online bank account and get an Indian visa

Upload clearer selfie!.. on and on.
After reading these reviews I now understand why!! Think I'll be leaving it at that... Hertz it is so...
