zero forex is a fraud
so, recently i visited Singapore and for the same, I got myself Niyo SBM credit card. so called zero forex card.
but after using it, I found out that, it's a big lie. they do charge you markup fees on the name of computer generated statement. for eg- if currency exchange for a particular day 1SG= 66INR on global exchange, then they will charge you 68.4INR.
I also had a Yes Bank Premia debit card which I used while travelling in Singapore and found out that, for a same tx Niyo charged me 68.4INR while my debit card charged me 66.0INR against 1SG.
International lounge is also available only spending 50k in foreign currency in a quarter. whereas many debit cards like mine gives you a complimentary international lounge access. In short, it's useless card. it is better to use debit card, because as such you have to make a FD that too it will give you 90% of FD to spend.
I won't use it again in future, neither i will recommend it.
