My husband and I were recommended GoNorth by some friends who had used them the year before. We booked for last Summer (2019), but simply forgot to write a review......sorry chaps!

We had never before used a camper van, a caravan or a tent and our daughters took great delight in taking bets as to how long their mother, being a “bit posh” and very anti anything other than a 5 star hotel, would last; they gave me 24 hours maximum!

My husband and I picked up the van and set off to do the North Coast 500 of Scotland. From our booking, to picking up the van and taking it back after 7 nights, every single part of their service and care and the awesome way the vans are kitted out with everything you could possibly need, made our holiday absolutely blissful.

Even I, hard wired to enjoy “luxury”, found not one thing to moan about. I didn’t do my make-up or style my hair for the whole time we were there and it was that freedom, the joy of just being “us”, the beautiful coastline and the knowledge that GoNorth were always on hand should we have a problem and there was absolutely nothing too big or small, they dealt promptly and with a smiley face, every request or concern that we had.

GoNorth, you have converted us totally. In fact, you have changed how we see “holidays”, now, we are purchasing our own motor home and setting about a more nomadic way of life.

I recently completed the NC 500 in one of GoNorth's 4x4 Defender 90s. December 14th, 2019 to December 22nd, 2019. Trip and weather were incredible. No wind, no rain, clear sunny skies. I know I got lucky. I would recommend 6 stars for GoNorth on this website if possible. Nick and team were incredible. Flexible, responsive to email and thorough in their prep of the car. My flight from Boston was significantly delayed coming into the UK then the airline lost my bags so I had to delay my whole highland adventure. The next day my train north from Perth to Inverness was cancelled due to someone driving a transit van into one of the bridges on that line. Not a great start. In short, I must have changed my vehicle pickup day/time at least three times and all the while the guys were accommodating. The defender is kitted out with everything you need. Including a first aid kit! And it handles the roads beautifully, eating up the hills and hairpins in Assynt and Torridon with ease. I even took a few detours on some B roads - no problem for the landy. I would recommend heading up the east coast first and doing the NC 500 anti-clockwise. Give yourself a day to get used to the handling and gearbox before tackling the tougher single track roads on the North and West. Next time I do this I won't even consider looking elsewhere for vehicle rental. GoNorth are the professionals. No doubt. And as for the landy..........broke my heart to give it back!

I hired the Land Rover Defender for the weekend at the beginning of December as a surprise birthday gift for my partner.

The Go North guys are brilliant and gave me plenty information beforehand. When I picked up the Defender I was given a tour of how everything works. It is a fantastic bit of kit. It has everything you’ll need (apart from a shower n toilet of course😂) just buy your own food and go😃

The roof tent is definitely camping in style😎 it was super comfy and spacious. Easy to set up as well. Even with high winds and rain the roof tent was strong and we weren’t bothered! I just picked a terrible time to go 😂 just goes to show its suitable for even cold temperatures 😄

Well organised company, made everything easy for us, all the vans are top of the range with everything you need! Good heating system and cosy bedding, the guys that run Go North couldn’t be nicer, would definitely use this company again and would recommend them highly!

I purchased a Black hard top TentBox from Go North Group in Elgin. Nick and his business partner did the installation for free. Very friendly service...excellent instal. They were able to modify the installation slightly to accommodate the "tall" cross bars on my Ford Van. The Roof TentBox is excellent...I did a wild camping winter excursion to River Dee near Braemar already...it was brilliant. I highly recommend Go North Group in Elgin.

I had the unbelievable pleasure of spending four nights in a GoNorth Camper recently. From initial booking queries to van delivery and support, GoNorth delivered exceptional levels of service, which many other companies could do from learning from. At all points, Nick and the team were friendly, professional, courteous and willing to go the extra mile. Even when my connecting service was two hours late into Inverness, Nick was happy to accommodate and greeted me with a 'no rush' tour of the van and made sure I was happy with all aspects of survival on my own out on the road before waving me off on my adventure. Simply recommending them on here feels like an injustice, so I'll be recommending them far and wide, and I hope to return again some day to my new friend, van #3.

We hired the VW Transporter (T6) for 7 days and headed to the Outer Hebrides to island hop. The booking and admin process was easy and when we arrived at GoNorth we were given a thorough induction into how to use the onboard camping facilities (it was our first time camper-vanning) which was much appreciated. There was a small amount of paperwork to complete but they really just wanted to get us on the road without delay. The VW itself was fantastic, very well equipped and easy to transform from living mode into bed mode - it’s also great to drive! Overall a really great customer experience, and will look to use these guys again in future!

I can speak strongly enough about these two guys. Couldn’t do enough to help and contribute to a great weekend. Van was extremely well kitted out with attention to the smallest detail. Well done I hope your business goes from strength to strength. We will definitely hire from you again.

Recently returned from 6 days travelling the NC500 in a GoNorth camper. The van was great, well laid out with lots of useful and thoughtful accessories. The team at GoNorth were brilliant and really put me at ease throughout the demonstration before I got onto the open road.

During the week the weather was not great but the van provided plenty of space and the heater was a really good addition, especially for autumn and winter trips.

Would thoroughly recommend GoNorth Campers.

A fantastic company with a great camper which had everything you could ask for. Two hobs, a good sized fridge, loads of accessories, bedding included etc. Lot's of space inside and somehow I traveled from Inverness to Isle of Skye and back on one tank of fuel!

I had loads of questions and requests both before and during the trip and they guys were always quick to respond. Would definitely recommend GoNorth and I would definitely choose these guys again!

We had the best 5 days away with our Go North Camper! Booking was simple, price was extremely competitive, everything was explained to us in such detail at collection and the camper had absolutely everything that we needed.
Perfect size for touring round the roads of Lewis and Harris, and so handy to stop and stay for the night in the most stunning locations, really good to drive and fantastic fuel economy. Could not fault anything and will definitely be a return customer.

A great bunch of guys! The whole experience from booking, checking in and returning the camper was seamless. The Camper itself what exactly as described. Would not hesitate to use them again.

This was our first time using GoNorth Campers and I have no hesitation in saying that they will be our first option when hiring a campervan in the future.
Communication was excellent, with Nick and Neil keeping in touch with us in the lead up to our hire.
The van itself was perfect, easy to use and had everything in it that we needed.
Our main praise though is with the fantastic customer service and experience. Our van developed a fault after extremely high winds, something that really was completely outwith the control of GoNorth, but the communication from Nick and Neil was first class. They drove a 6 hour round trip to make a repair that took all of 15 minutes and had us back on the road in no time.
We really can't praise GoNorth highly enough. we had a great experience hiring one of their vans and would heartily recommend them.

Rented the Defender for a week and took it up to the Orkneys. Great to finally drive such an iconic vehicle and the roof tent was really quick and easy to use as well. Nick and Neil were really helpful at both pick-up and drop-off.

Rented the Land Rover Defender for one week. Great customer service throughout, the vehicle was in great condition and well equipped plus we had an amazing week driving the NC500. Looking forward to using GoNorth4x4 again in the near future.

Really enjoyed a week in the Land Rover defender- such fun to do the NC500 in and sleep in the roof tent. Neil and Nick were full of great advice, hints and really responsive to emails.We’ll be back next year- wouldn’t think of hiring from anyone else!

These guys were amazing from booking the Vans to helping us plan our journey every set of the way, they were so accommodating to our every request.

I had the most enjoyable weeks holiday EVER!!
The vans where customised to a very high standard, the bed was very comfortable to sleep on, this was something I feared after spinal surgery.

The van was comfortable to drive, and perfect for size for the NC500!!

The vans had lots of storage and you are provide with all essentials from bedding to towels and also camping tables and chairs!
I’m already looking at booking my next years holiday and will most definitely be booking with,

WE had the best time in these amazing wee campers. They go anywhere and are so compact. Everything comes with the package so you're ready to go as soon as you pick up. A few people that we met had a look in side and were very impressed. Nick and his team couldn't do enough for us, we will definitely use again. Thank you

We rented the Defender with roof tent for 4 nights and we loved it!
We explored a lot of the north of scotland and being able to stop and wild camp made the experience all the better. The Defender is supplied with everything we needed. The roof tent was so easy to put up and down and surprisingly comfortable.
The booking was easy and the guys were always contactable when needed, really hope to book with GoNorth Campers again.

Had a great time doing the NC500 in one of Go North's Campervans, it was our first time doing such an adventure and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

The vans come with everything you need and more, all branded up which shows the level of dedication and care the team at Go North take.
