Good dog is a great site for buyer safety. As a breeder for 49 yrs in the last several years I have heard many many stories of potential buyers scammed while trying to purchase a puppy. I still believe and advise meeting a potential buyer face to face before placing puppies. However “good dog” gives both parties excellent communication between breeder and potential puppy owner.

I found Good Dog through a family member who trusted good dog in finding a certified breeder. They had a great experience! I can concur, it was so easy to determine what breed was best suited for us and then to find breeders who have been qualified by Good Dog was easy. The breeder we chose was also USDA Certified! Pilot Hill Teddy Bear Puppies was responsive, professional, patient and I felt confident in choosing a puppy. Good Dog made me feel safe knowing that they have pre-qualified and certified the breeders on their site. Also, I can say that I appreciated the peace of mind I had knowing that that my payment through Good Dog was safe and secure.

We got a great puppy from a lovely breeder who was only an hour from our home.

I keep hitting brick walls with some of the breeders and I have no idea why. It would be really helpful to find out why no additional information is provided as to me and my family were denied.
I feel defeated in my search.

Cowgirl's Legacy Maltipoos was an absolute dream to work with. Jen went above and beyond to work with us after we chose our Maltipoo Jake. Even though he was already 4 weeks old when we found him, Jen sent us videos and photos from the very start of his life and continued to follow up with photos and videos at least weekly and often daily. It is obvious how much she loves her dogs and cares for the puppies she raises. They are all very well loved and raised as part of her family with lots of interactions with others which definitely helps with socialization. Jen was always available to answer our many questions and provide guidance and support for when we brought Jake home. Jake is amazing and we could not be happier with Jen and Cowgirl's Legacy Maltipoos. If you are looking for a breeder that is loving and caring, then Jen is the right one for you. You will not be disappointed.

Found a breeder not chasing coin but quality healthy dogs. Tuckers howling hounds one of the good ones! If you are searching for a basset hound give them a try! Exceptional travel arrangements

My mini Bernedoodle was bred by Korey at Lakeside Doodles in Rochester, NY, and I really chose well. I found her via Gooddog.com, a site that Google and knowledgeable dog friends recommended.

Wallace is happy and well adjusted. He has been with me for a week now, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Korey has quickly answered my questions and is a delight to deal with.

I picked up Wallace “on the way home” to central Virginia from a trip to Maine. I went pretty far out of my way for Wallace, and I’m glad I did!

She does arrange transportation with new puppy parents. but I wanted to see her place. Through Good dog.com, I found a great breeder and a great puppy.

Our breeder Lori was responsive, friendly, welcoming, and most importantly knowledgeable. She made the entire process painless and quick and I'm glad to have her support moving forward with our new family members!

I have been adopting pets for many years and I find this place a money pit. Every single owner offering a puppy keeps ur deposit and does not put it towards the purchase of the pup. That is outrageous and not the norm. The deposit always goes towards the cost of the pet. These deposits are mainly $500 and then the price of the pet is quite high in itself. Then there are taxes and fees. I asked one owner how much she would charge to deliver thinking she would drive or meet me half way. She wanted to fly round trip for $650 plus have me pay for 2 meals etc. She could have driven the distance in 2 hrs time. This fee was on top of the final bill. I had asked her a question about male versus female and she never answered that question only the one about the fee for traveling. That is very telling in itself.

Good Dog has truly been a wonderful experience for me as a breeder. I love that we can use applications to help qualify buyers and that buyers are able to connect with us as breeders safely and securely!

I was skeptical of using Good Dog for the first year after joining the program, but have found it to be the absolute best way to find quality families for our puppies. All services they provide make the whole process educational, easy & secure for both buyers and sellers.

I had been trying on my own to sell 2 very nice puppies without much luck. A couple days on Good Dog and I found the perfect home for one of them

Contacted a breeder who was selling a 2 year old dog that had been returned. Ad stated one thing and after we paid $175 to meet the dog, we quickly understood the ad was not only wrong but also misleading. I contacted GoodDog directly with my issues and received nothing of substance in return. Just that it was sent to a care team.
This dog was listed as great with kids, returned through no fault of her own, big heart..etc. What we witnessed was a dog that was probably abused, that was being led around on a pinch choke collar, in a 105 degree Walmart parking lot by a handler that shouldn't handle a cup of coffee let alone a German Shepherd that didn't even have water for the dog. The dog was obviously abused and distruted strangers and most likely males. After giving her water that we brought, the handler took the leash. As I was standing next to both the dog and the handler, the dog lunged and tried to bite my hand. I have dealt with GS for over 50 years. I didn't jump back or even really react. But, we knew this dog was not as advertised. The breeder even posted an incorrect DAM that is still up on the site. I have given this info to GoodDog numerous times and nothing. The handler did say that this dog was in bad shape when they got it back and was in an unstable environment for at least 18 months. Had I heard all of that prior to paying $175, I wouldn't have. Terrible company and they are nothing more than a nice portal for breeders to sell. They do not have vets visiting breeders, they do not have anyone fact checking the claims. All of the breeder requirements are self reported. What bad breeder is going to self report that they are not meeting the guidelines. Terrible.

I’ve had such a positive experience using Good Dog. As a breeder, one of the most important things to me is knowing that my puppies are going to loving, responsible, and trustworthy homes. I put so much time and care into raising each puppy, including a comprehensive socialization program from birth, so being able to connect with families and get to know them before placement is incredibly important to me.

Good Dog makes the entire process feel much more organized and secure, from communicating with families to contracts, payments, and keeping everything together in one place. I especially appreciate having a platform that supports responsible breeders who genuinely care about where their puppies are placed. I’ve met some wonderful families through Good Dog and am very grateful for the platform! 🤍🐾
