The item I ordered from Goodee World…

The item I ordered from Goodee World was not delivered as I was alerted via email. I have a ring doorbell, and no packages were delivered to my address for the day prior or day of delivery by UPS or any other carrier.
I reached out to Goodee world customer support and was told UPS assured them it was in fact delivered! I offered my ring doorbell footage, but only received a link to their policies on missing packages. I called my credit card company and sent them the footage from my ring doorbell. The promptly reversed charges and gave me a full refund! This organization is a SCAM!! Don’t waste your time or money ordering from them! I have also posted my proof and a notice to social media!

Don't order! You will spend MORE money and time sending things back than it warrants.. disastrous customer service and shambolic back end.. ORDER ELSEWHERE

Selective Customer Service

Goodee World has more than 2,400 product reviews published on their site and they are all FIVE STAR REVIEWS. Isn't that amazing? It's also not possible outside of Shangri-La. Everyone doesn't love everything...a lesson most of us learn at a very young age. but apparently not Goodee World, which feels it is very important to show only their best side: to borrow their marketing language, methinks they "curate only the finest reviews."

But I am getting ahead of myself. Let's go back to early June. I was seeking nicer-than-usual brooms and found Goodee World. I first emailed customer service with three different screenshots because I received three different quotes for shipping fees in my cart on their site. They were responsive to the extent that they personally (not automated) replied to let me know they were looking into it with IT. They emailed once again the following day to confirm shipping. I was impressed by the attention and I ordered 5 products.

I found 4 out of 5 products nice but I was underwhelmed by 1 of them and found it neither practical nor stable. I kept it because...well, have you ever packed up a broom for a return shipment? Neither have I and I intend to keep it that way.

Goodee World, meanwhile, solicited me to submit product reviews for my purchases. I'm no stranger to providing reviews. I believe in the concept of reviews and I feel I have something to add besides false bonhomie.

I submitted a 3 star review and a 5 star review. Both submitted reviews resulted in an auto reply confirmation. The 5 star review was published promptly while the 3 star review was...never published. (I mean, it was neither 2 stars nor 1, but 3 and within, I compared the product to an Alexander Calder mobile. Most retailers would be delighted at such a comparison and it's hardly something to become so upset over that you lose your good manners and don't write back to the customer!)

Over the following week, I wrote 3 more emails to customer service to inquire as to the whereabouts of my review, which I had gracefully provided them, gratis.

Aside from not responding to me within their promised 48 hour period, they actually never responded to me at all. This was about the time I noticed that they only publish (hyperbolic) 5 star reviews. The entire process left a bad taste in my mouth and makes me feel they are phonies and the ethos they spout on their site is just a bunch of words with no meaning.

I'm CANNING GOODEE! Left me UNDER WATER!

Ordered a HAWS watering can and it was too heavy and awkward to use. Paid $59 out of pocket to return and got email back saying return not accepted because I put water in the watering can once to try it. This is not like wearing a dress to a formal and returning it!? Watering can was $200 to begin with, so I'm under water and canning Goodee. Save yourself from making a purchase here.

Ordering is very weird

Ordering is very weird. Nobody is clear on where the products are coming from. Their online profile states their store is in Montreal, however their shipping policy states there’s an extra FIVE business day lead time for orders shipping to Canada. All very confusing. I ordered a couple items on April 15 and have yet see any movement from UPS. No option to upgrade to express shipping either.

Unless there’s something that is exclusively sold through them, I would source your items elsewhere.

GoodeeWorld.com: A Great Canada-Owned Business

An absolutely positive shopping experience wth GoodeeWorld.com from start to finish! I had not heard of Goodee until Haws UK forwarded their details to me in my hunt for a particular watering can that I couldn't find. I not only found what I needed at Goodee, they have many other great, high-quality products and their shipping price was fair. They are also a B Coporation––so many reasons to feel good about supporting this Canadian business.
