Very helpful, straightforward installation

Nikki was extremely helpful in answering my long list of questions, helping me understand the customer journey when using it, and making sure I had all the information I needed. Commissioning was very straightforward. Overall we are very happy with our experience with Go Zero Charge.

We were on the hunt for an EV charger…

We were on the hunt for an EV charger suitable for our personal use and for guests at our vacation rental. The Go Zero Charger software is perfect as it seamlessly transitions between regular home charging and rental mode, allowing guests to use and pay for the charging service via a QR code.Choosing this was obvious for us, and it's been performing beautifully. Mark and Nikki are incredibly proactive and quick to respond. Luke handled the installation effortlessly.A minor downside is the additional expense for the surge protector (it would be great if this were included) and the absence of a physical instruction manual (though perhaps I'm just a bit old-school). However, Mark and Nikki are always eager to assist and respond promptly to any inquiries.Overall, if you're considering adding an EV charger to a vacation rental or an Airbnb property, this one should definitely be on your list.

This really was a five star experience…

This really was a five star experience from start to finish. The survey was completed by Martin, who was really knowledgeable and helpful throughout and James completed the install expertly. I spoke to the sales team a couple of times and they as well couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommended.

5 Star Installation

Seamless installation of my GoZero EV charger. A fantastic job considering it was not a standard install given my property layout. The final result is sleek, secure, and works perfectly. Would definitely recommend.

Long waiting time, with good results

I have my car chat installed last month after 5 months from making payments for the order
The work is done in a professional manner but the person was in a hurry and doesn’t want to use charging cards provided which takes him 2 minutes to set

Post installation good customer care

Update
I had an issue with the charger last week which I reported to Go Zero via email in the evening , and the very next day they called me and arranged to fix the issue. Simon came over within few days and spent time to fix the issue. I must say I was very impressed by their professional approach to solve the issue and promptness. Hence why I am changing the rating due to great customer service following installation.

I placed an order via Costco, who contract this provision from Go Zero. The Go Zero team processes were sloppy, time consuming and caused a massive delay in getting this installation… there were repeated asks to upload photos, videos followed by a hiatus and no communication. Even the final step was unsatisfactory… I paid for the product in January and the charger was functional only by end of may 2025. I would not recommend this, have actually submitted a complaint to Costco.

As per our letter in response to your original complaint, we deeply regret any inconvenience caused by the delay.

Just to reiterate; the accepted practice in the EV installation industry is to conduct a virtual survey as the most practicable process to assessing a property to ensure a safe, regulated and compliant installation. In some instances, we do attend in person, especially where the cable runs are extensive and groundworks may be required. In most cases this is not required. Our in-house team, under the guidance of our lead Engineer, do assess the information received from customers and accept that you, the Customer, are not a technical expert.

What we cannot do in these instances, is check in detail any specifics of the electrical systems at the address. It is a requirement to test the property at time of install and to document findings on the Safety Certificate issued post install. If an engineer encounters a situation that requires the Energy Suppliers or Distribution Network Operators to action, which unfortunately was the case, they took the correct action as per industry regulation and codes of practice.

Safety for yourself and your property are paramount.

As the situation on this occasion was that we needed to await the fix by via your energy supplier, hence the delay. Our average installation time is significantly shorter, and we work hard to deliver the best service we can to our customers.

Again, our apologies for the delay to your install but we hope the charger is working satisfactorily.

5 star service by Simon

This review is for Simon who installed the Go Zero charger. In terms of the installation service that Simon provided was 5 star, this was one of the best we had. He did a great job in laying the cable and tucking it nicely on skirting boatds and outside walls. He is also a very pleasant individual and gave us proper guidance on how to use the charger, the app etc. I havent started using the charger yet.

5* service from Simon at Go Zero Charge. He contacted me pre my appointment with a follow up on the day and talked me through everything to ensure it was nice and easy.
I would highly recommended Go Zero, thanks again to Simon the installer and Nikki from Sales, great service.

This rating is for Simon who came to complete installation and activation of the charger.
He has done a good job.
As regards Gozero charger itself I have not begun using it to provide a review on this product. This I hope to provide once I have started to use it and works as expected

Do not buy this charger without reading this!

Had no issue with installation. And product worked for around three months with no issues. However last month had so many issues with the charger not activating during schedule times. Application to start the charger stopped working. You cannot trust your car will be charged during the cheap rates over night. Go Zero keeps promising to fix the issue and still no luck. I have now escalated this to Costco. Honestly select another charger.

Simon came to fit my EV charger. He was super professional, well mannered and helpful. He showed me how to set up my EV charger and app so I can be confident using it myself. The company in general showed great communication too.

EV charger for Holiday Rental

We had been looking for an EV charger that we could use for both ourselves and guests staying at our holiday rental. The Go Zero Charger software offers the option to switch from standard home charging to holiday rental mode, giving guest the opportunity to use (and pay for via QR code) the charger also.

It’s a no brainer for us and is working well. Mark and Nikki are very proactive and responsive. The installation was done very smoothly by Luke.

Only mild criticism would be the extra cost of the surge protector (not sure why this isn’t built in ?) and the lack of an instruction booklet (put possibly that’s a little old fashioned of me) Mark and Nikki seem happy to respond to question and do so quickly so any questions we had have been answered.

All in all if you have a holiday let or Airbnb property and are thinking about installing an EV charger this is a strong contender.
