Poor after sales
Quoted for some upstands on 02/02/24 for worktops we’d had installed 14 months previous. Agreed with quote of asked to proceed with order. I chased order 06/02/24, The response was “Normally it would take around two weeks to fabricate your pieces and get them ready. Once they are ready, I will let you know”
In the meantime I tried to get a colour match on the silicone and colour fill as some bits from the original install needed re-doing, I was told to collect the following week. When I phoned to confirm the following week I was told they didn’t have it and would contact me when they did. Its now April and I’ve had no contact.
Chased the upstand order again 28/02/24. The Response was “Hi Darryl
Sorry we had a delay as normally we do not take full slabs out for small jobs. A job is in the process of being cut and this means yours will be aswell,
It will be ready sometime next week but I am on the factories case every few days”
Phoned again on 03/04/24 was told I would be contacted next day, still waiting!!

Used granitetopsuk for our kitchen worktops. It was a massive expense which couldnt have been more supported. Pro's and cons given to educate my choice, recomendations for lighting and appliances (taps). Samples to take away and match up and very very competetive pricing.
I was fully informed throughout the process and the timeline was bang on time.
Worktops were fitted.... the precision and care taken during fitting to ensure everything was 100% perfect was amazing.
All in all a very professional experience start to finish and the end product is breathtaking.

I was having my bathroom and toilet refitted, and during the process the plumber pointed out that both the sink worktops that are granite, need to have a 3inch hole cut in the centre. As this was quite a panic job, and was needed rapidly I remembered that I had used GraniteTops UK to have my kitchen worktops made, so decided to give them a call. I was told that they could do the job for £90 if I dropped the tops off myself, so I went ahead.

They did point out that normally they would not consider reworking a top that was not theirs as they could not guarantee the granite's quality, and if not up to scratch it could crack, but thought that this looked on the face of it like they should be okay, and as I was an existing customer they would do it this time. They also said that the normal time for a job is 7 to 10 working days.

Okay, granted, they agreed to do the work although the tops were not theirs, but hold on. The work required was simply to drill a 3 inch hole in the centre of a worktop twice, which was even pre-marked by the plumber. The job was simple, you cant get any simpler than to drill a hole, with no chamfering, or complicated edging of any sort, no matching up, no complicated drill angles, and no need to manouvre into place with extra assistance as they were only 600mm by 500mm. With all this in mind is taking a full10 days to complete the job acceptable, especially given notice that this was needed as soon as possible? I will let you decide.

The quartz tops and splash back arrived as promised and were fitted efficiently and look fabulous. We will definitely recommend Granitetopsuk to our friends. Excellent service and two fully satisfied home owners!
