This is the third time we have used Grinters for building works in our house and we highly recommend the team of trusted, friendly, skilled professionals. The project was started and completed on time, within expected budget and we were kept thoroughly updated throughout. Ours was a relatively small job but the attention to every detail was superb.
We had two Velux windows removed and replaced with a Dorma window. 90% of the work was done from outside - accessing the room from the scaffolding, hardly any disruption inside the house.
Matt oversaw our project and we were kept informed every step of the way. He also kept a close watch on progress.
Matt is very personable and a pleasure to work with.
Myles and Adam were full time with us - they are true craftsmen and they worked hard to get the job done as quickly as possible - they were also very easy to get along with - very approachable.
Small things, such as "boots off" to come into the house show the respect they have for the customer and their home.
We were very apprehensive about the mess made with building work, but Grinters do their best to keep this to a minimum.
The finish was brilliant - very little sanding to be done prior to painting.
Lots of compliments from neighbours and passers by, praising the quality and appearance of the finished work.
I think we have just about come to the end of major building work, however, if we do anything else, we would not even consider another company.
Five star rating well deserved.
Having had some negative experiences while renovating my house, I tried Grinters a local firm. What a pleasant suprise. This firm believes in communication at all levels. All the tradesmen who worked here were pleasant, polite and ready to accept changes and work with me. When a problem arose a phone call or email enabled me to explain the dilemma and everything possibly was done to solve it. I thought the price quoted was very reasonable and the work done was inspected before being passed. They really are a five star team.

Grinters have provided several services to me during the last twelve months including external and internal decoration, plumbing, repositioning a shed door/wall , tree/bush reduction, replacement gates and patio screening. I have been pleased with the overall results and level of service.
