I love the ease of the shipping…

I love the ease of the shipping directly to the house. Also, how I can adjust the shipping date since my pay is bi-weekly as opposed to a set date it is super convenient. I also love all the bamboo paper products like TP, and paper towels they are super absorbent so you use less.

The walnut scrubbers, eco friendly condoms.

I've been a customer for two years and love everything!

I CANCELLED ORDER AND THEY SIGNED ME UP FOR THEIR VIP PROGRAM AND HIT MY ACCOUNT FOR A MONTHLY FEE.

CONTACTED THEM TO PUT IT BACK, NO RESPONSE.

For a company that has been around…

For a company that has been around since 2012, I expected a much different user experience.
The app you're asked to download to track your delivery does not work. The actual tracking information is not useful because there is not much information provided.
The delivery was abysmal and the driver hung up on me when I was unable to give her step by step instructions for how to access my building. Mind you she called me at work to tell me she had a delivery.. That should have been a call to the property manager to ask for access. Again, this is all delivery 101, customer service 101, small business 101. I only ordered from the Grove Collaborative because I was routed to their website after a recent Wayfair purchase. Not worth the hassle, bad service and poor communication.

Grove laundry sheets not as safe …

Overall I really like Grove and it’s products but I recently was very disappointed in one. Their laundry sheets which should be environmentally safe are not all they are made out to be. They don’t always dissolve. They left residue on my jeans and slacks that was hard to remove except by washing again with a different detergent (and I used it a number of times to make sure)
I also found out that some of these sheets have the microplastics in them to hold them together so not quite environmentally safe!
I threw them out as there was no money back if dissatisfied

Do not sign up for an account and avoid at all costs.

Grove has some genuinely great products, but unfortunately that is completely overshadowed by their shady and intentionally convoluted business practices. My first issue with Grove started when I signed up for an account with a discount code that was sent to me in the mail. What I didn’t know, because it was not on the pamphlet OR even on the website used to sign up, was that Grove automatically signed me up for their PAID VIP membership, which isn’t cheap for something I never wanted in the first place. Most likely, this membership sign up was written into their Terms of Service, which is shady. Then, there’s the “feature” of the auto-shipments. Every month, Grove will automatically charge your card and send out what you have in your cart if it meets their low threshold. Conveniently, there is no option to cancel auto-shipments, and when Grove support tells you there is, what they really mean to say is that you can postpone it up to four months in advance, but you can’t turn them off. Shady! Recently, Grove has implemented another new feature without giving notice that automatically subscribes you to several items that - surprise! - meets this threshold and, unless you catch the email you were never expecting, will be shipping that out ASAP. And, to top it all off, there is no way to remove your card from your account. If you want to, you’ll probably have to jump through hoops and contact their customer service, if it’s even allowed. Grove intentionally takes advantage of their main customer base: families, that have neither the time or knowledge to be sifting through Grove emails, especially when they were never given a hint of Grove’s shady practices in the first place. AVOID GROVE, DO NOT MAKE AN ACCOUNT. They are constantly updating and adding more “features” that are thinly veiled attempts at taking your money and praying that you didn’t notice their single email among many. Please don’t support them by buying their products in Target either.

Grove has lost a loyal customer of over…

Grove has lost a loyal customer of over 5 years. They've abused access to my payment information by submitting orders without my consent after I have already followed the necessary protocols to cancel/unsubscribe from said orders weeks in advance from the next scheduled order date. After reaching out to their team to fix this issue, they simply argue that "I didn't cancel auto shipments" and that is why my orders are still being placed automatically. I refuse to continue supporting a company that treats their customers this way. I know I went through their ridiculously complicated system for canceling item subscriptions and removing items from my cart. The fact they have some backdoor workaround for forcing orders on your account and you cannot even remove your payment information from the account yourself is also sketchy to say the least. I reached out the morning the order was processed (without my consent) to cancel the order and they refused. I am done with this. I can find everything they sell elsewhere for the same price or even cheaper online. I only supported them because I believed their BS that they are an ethical company but they have proven that to be untrue. Alex "the grove guide" didn't even attempt to help the situation and simply repeated the same script their chat agent pasted in the previous conversation and that was very disrespectful. They have simply taken my money without my permission and their support didn't seem to care about the situation at all or show any empathy for the inconvenience. The result is I received zero help from their support staff and supposed "supervisor" Alex. I am beyond disappointed to have completely lost faith in this company. It is obvious they don't care about their customers.

ABSOLUTELY SATISFIED WITH EVERYTHING!!

I was skeptical at 1st because I have noticed a lot of times that cleaning products that are Eco friendly can sometimes not be as good as ones that are not Eco friendly. However I absolutely love groves products. I got my Box 2 days ago and I'm very happy with the fact that the all purpose cleaner and the glass cleaner does not have a strong chemical odor. The soap is amazing and I love the sponges. I will continue to order every month. The all purpose cleaner cleans very well and so does the glass cleaner. I cannot rave about them enough!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dishonest and misleading subscription practices

Everything you read about this company's dishonest and non-transparent subscription practices are 100% accurate. I bought hand sanitizer from their website one time. They never inform you that you are permanently subscribed to a product subscription (which doesn't auto-renew for a year so you'll likely forget) and intentionally send you repeated vague marketing emails (such as "your cart needs your attention") so you are desensitized to their communications, and will likely overlook the fact that they auto-subscribed you even though you intended to make a simple one-time purchase (because who would think that a company would operate in this shady way). I even tried to unsubscribe from their mailing list no fewer than 10 times and have still been unable to do so. There is also no option to remove your credit card information on file - you have to find a buried "Privacy" menu option to request your information be deleted.

Honestly, their products aren't even good. If you really are a fan of their products for whatever reason, do yourself a favor and buy them through a 3rd party retailer. I'm honestly shocked that there aren't laws preventing the kinds of practices Grove is exploiting.

No blacklisting shippers

The products are nice, however they offer no ability to blacklist delivery services. This time, they used the one that routinely leaves my packages at the road to be stollen/run over, etc. I will have to find another source for products like these because I can’t chance them using lazership again.

Unauthorized charges, Corrupt practices

Has corrupt practices with unauthorized orders being placed sent and charged without my consent to unauthorized charges time after time, even years after I called and told them to cancel everything I have with them. This time I’m reporting it to an attorney. I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Auto-subscriptions without consent.

I think that the products are generally good, and they carry some well known brands.

However, I just by chance realized today that I had been automatically signed up for full price subscriptions to a number of items they had offered to me for free or at a discount, subscriptions that would have cost me $100 each month.

I am surprised that this is legal. Certainly we know that a certain politician's fundraising entity was fined for signing up his unwitting donors to monthly charges against their credit cards.

It is such a disappointment that a company holding itself out as a certified B corporation and as a company seeking positive environmental action would engage in such unethical, if not illegal, activities.

I bought one product from them - months ago. Then I get an email that says:

Want your box ASAP and as is? We can still make that happen but you’ll be charged $4.99 to offset the environmental impact of shipping a smaller order.

What the heck: Buy one thing and they enroll you into a subscription program where they want to send you a bunch of stuff you don't want or need.

I went to their site and found a bunch of crap they wanted to send me. Stuff I never ordered, and I certainly didn't sign up for a subscription program.

Collaborative? (and "responsible" shipping) I'd say not. Stuart Landesberg has a real scam going on here. The scarcity mindset (we don't have enough) so let's enroll people without their knowledge into a program where they buy stuff from us is about not being able to do business in an up-front, and honest way. Don't Buy from this company.

I did call and spoke with a very nice and sweet young woman you verified me, and removed me from their scam. She said I'm not the only one who has complained about this scam. And said she'd share my thoughts upward. I also mentioned that this company is, so scam oriented they are probably selling my name and address to email solicitors.

I never received the items they claimed I did . When I called awful customer service and I got charged for items I never received . They enrolled me in automatic deliveries that I did not request. This is a scam be aware . Do not order from this place DONOT

I've loved my experience with Grove so…

I've loved my experience with Grove so far but, I enjoy the ease and convenience of subscription boxes. If you aren't someone who stays on top of your orders I could see how even with the option to skip, it might get frustrating. We've been subscribed for a little over a year now and with a family of four and two dogs, I've gotten about 5 boxes so far.
Usually right after I receive an order I set the next delivery date for a few months ahead so I can place my next order when I'm ready.

I will not place another order

I will not place another order. I didn’t receive one item and instead of refunding me or sending me a replacement, they added a credit on my account for future. Their minimum order is $29 so they placed a credit on my account for a future order so I could spend more money in order to get a replacement for an item I didn’t receive? It’s pretty awful to be honest and yea I will never place an order here again. Thank you for not refunding me or sending a replacement. Yea let me order again and spend more money to see if I get another order with a missing item then another credit to spend more money on future orders. Does that seem right to you?

This company is so shady! Do not buy anything from them, they will enroll you into a sketchy subscription without any clear indication that you are enrolling and then charge you monthly for it! Steer clear of business that have to trick their customers in order to do business.

They send orders that I never requested!

I ordered a few products and they automatically sent me "gift" items to try out more of their products. Now about two weeks later I get an email that they are sending me another order. I did NOT order anything more from this company. They will not provide a phone number to contact them either. I will be reporting them to my credit card as a fraudulent company with unethical business practices. I thought it was weird that they automatically load up your shopping cart with stuff you don't want, but I never suspected they would actually send me stuff I never ordered!! I was only on their website once.
