As a convinced GUIDOMAGGI customer, I already own 4 pairs of those wonderful shoes. My oldest one - and my absolute favourite too- is a pair of brown Chelsea’s with leather sole that I bought in 2016. Since than, I can’t even recall how often I wore those shoes. They’ve been with me in so many countries and locations… from having long walks in Manhattan to partying 3 days in a row in Berlin, they have been so loyal partners since the day I got them. The leather has become soooo soft and they now have such a beautiful vintage look that I still wear them on regular basis. I only had to repair the heel once - that’s it! One cannot imagine how good the quality is!!!

Since I haven’t bought some new shoes from Guidomaggi sin years, I wanted to make me a nice Christmas gift and add a new pair of dark Chelsea’s with a shorter ankle height. I grabbed the opportunity of the Black Friday discount (30%!!!!) and opted for the Marylebone model.
As I wanted those to be Winterproof, I customised them with a thin rubber sole and a bit of profile. The fact that every model is handcrafted following your order, gives one the opportunity to customise every pair as needed - in my opinion a pretty unique feature 👍

What really astonished me was the fact that, even after the corona pandemic, Ukraine war and all the other events that raised the cost of living continuously since 2020, the pricing of the Guidomaggi shoes are still at the same level since 2016. That’s really more than fair from Mr. Briganti 🫶

Finally, after 4 weeks of impatient waiting for the shipping (Yesss, you have to wait for quality), I got my pairs right before Christmas, as intended. The Packaging was again excellent, with a very decent and sturdy box that I love to use for storage. The finishing of the boots was again superb - as it always was. The leather is soft and smells so unique… they felt so comfortable the moment I dressed them up and the rubber sole is a dream… Again, those Guidomaggi shoes surpassed my high expectations and I literally wear them every day since I bought them. I was so impressed and happy that I couldn’t avoid to contact Mr. Briganti personally via WhatsApp to address my sincere respect and gratitude for the outstanding craftsmanship.
I know, these shoes are going to last and become a part of my life. In my opinion, the pricing is more than justified, and also this is the best answer to durability and environmental sustainability.

I really recommend this brand to anyone who understands and has love for beautiful and durable things - things that become part of you and are meant to be cherished and repaired and not thrown away.

Non ci sono abbastanza parole per descrivere professionalità, gentilezza, disponibilità, qualità del prodotto, affidabilità del prodotto....uso una frase retorica ma fino a un certo punto: le sue squadra mi hanno cambiato la vita, in quanto mi hanno dato quei 4....5...anche 8 o 10 ( a seconda della scarpa) cm in più con delle scarpe Fantastiche, fatte con materiali pregiati artigianalmente e di un design e uno stile degno delle migliori marche artigianali....ma ripeto con il fatto che siamo con invisibilitá più alti stando oltretutto comodissimi

Ho acquistato degli stivali con rialzo e devo dire che sono rimasto sorprendentemente stupito della qualità! I materiali sono davvero eccellenti, i migliori che abbia mai toccato con mano, e la cura nei dettagli è impeccabile. Il rialzo è completamente invisibile, ma l’effetto si nota: qualche centimetro in più di statura che fa la differenza, senza sacrificare il comfort. Sono comodissimi, perfetti da indossare tutto il giorno senza affaticare i piedi. Un acquisto che consiglio assolutamente a chi cerca stile, qualità e un tocco di altezza in più senza rinunciare alla naturalezza!

Per due volte consecutive, la prima nel 2023 e la seconda nel 2024, ho acquistato da Guido Maggi delle scarpe il cui colore non corrispondeva a quello mostrato sul sito.
Non si tratta di lievi differenze dovute alla lavorazione artigianale - variazioni che per giunta apprezzo, abituato a questo genere di prodotti - ma di colori sostanzialmente diversi.
Purtroppo, su Trustpilot non posso caricare immagini né inserire link esterni, ma a breve pubblicherò un video su YouTube dove sarà possibile vedere chiaramente tali discrepanze.

PRIMA ESPERIENZA (2023)
A scarpe consegnate, mi accorgo del problema e chiedo spiegazioni al Customer Care.
Al netto delle difficoltà a contattarlo, causa continui errori del Mail Delivery System, mi viene infine spiegato che i lotti di pelle non sono sempre gli stessi.
In sostanza il colore visto sul sito, nello specifico quello del modello "Bloomsbury", non era attualmente in deposito.
C'è da chiedersi come mai allora il modello "Bloomsbury" fosse tranquillamente acquistabile, ma non ho voluto polemizzare.
Dopo una lunga contrattazione con il responsabile, per carità, all'epoca molto cordiale, ci accordiamo per il rifacimento degli stivaletti con un altro colore.

Rimando al mittente le scarpe - per inciso, a mie spese, nonostante un loro errore.
Alla fine ci accordiamo per sostituirle con uno stivaletto tipo chelsea color definito "grigio corallo", colore mostratomi con una foto, che però a consegna avvenuta (5 mesi dopo l'ordine iniziale) si rivela essere un "grigio bluastro" diverso dalla foto mostratami.
Lasciai cadere la questione. Per sfinimento. Il risultato però è che non ho mai indossato quelle scarpe.

NOTA: Faccio anche notare che durante i 5 mesi di attesa, nonostante il tipo di pelle necessario per il "Bloomsbury" non fosse disponibile, nessuno si è preso la briga di rendere quel modello non acquistabile dal sito.

SECONDA ESPERIENZA (2024)
Ordino un paio di sneaker modello "Middle East", di color marrone medio.
Mi vengono consegnate delle scarpe molto più chiare. Praticamente più chiare del modello "Dubai".
Ripeto, qui non posso caricare immagini, ma potete dare un'occhiata sul sito per confrontare i due modelli e farvi voi un'idea (Middle East e Dubai).

Anche qui, stando al responsabile, nessun errore da parte loro.
La spiegazione fornita è che non era disponibile il pellame (crust) del modello fotografato, per cui era normale una leggera differenza di colore.
Di nuovo, sfido chiunque ad andare sul sito di Guido Maggi, affiancare il modello "Middle East" con quello "Dubai", e verificare se c'è una leggera differenza di colore. Considerate pure che le scarpe consegnatemi erano addirittura più chiare delle "Dubai" (lo mostrerò nel video).

Stessa storia: ci decidiamo per rifarle ex novo.
Si va per esclusione, visto che il "crust" di Middle East non è disponibile (eppure, stesso discorso del Bloomsbury, le Middle East restano tranquillamente acquistabili).
Pongo come riferimento il colore del modello "Hasselt".
Mi si dice che nemmeno quello è disponibile... e indovinate? Le "Hasselt" sono tutt'ora tranquillamente acquistabili dal sito.
In alternativa mi si propone un materiale simile, color cognac, che per intenderci e si avvicina molto al modello "Kohlmarkt" (sempre visionabile dal sito).
Mi sta bene, vada per il cognac.
Chiedo solo, se possibile, di tamponarlo leggermente in modo da renderlo simile al modello "Hasselt". Quindi sempre color cognac, ma un po' più disomogeneo.

Rispedisco le scarpe al mittente. Sempre a mie spese.
Aspetto un mese, mi arrivano quelle nuove, apro il pacco... e mi ritrovo delle sneaker color... cioccolato!

Mi spiace sempre di non poter mandare immagini, ma quando dico "cioccolato", come colore di riferimento potete osservare il modello "Porta Rudiae", immaginandolo però di qualche tono più scuro.
Solito esercizio: affiancate il colore desiderato (Hasselt oppure Kohlmarkt) con il colore che mi è stato consegnato (più scuro del Porta Rudiae), e traete le vostre conclusioni.

PERCHÈ UNA STELLA?
Pensavo di metterne due. Forse anche tre. Ho sempre cercato di spingere il Made in Italy. Si può sbagliare, ma quando c'è umiltà e buona volontà, ci si passa sopra.
Dopo aver ricevuto però l'ultima telefonata del responsabile di Guido Maggi, telefonata che oserei definire a dir poco sgradevole, mi si è infranta anche quella parvenza di cordialità che aveva dimostrato in passato.
Anzi, mi scuso adesso per avergli fatto perdere il suo preziosissimo tempo.

Per chi invece fosse interessato a maggiori dettagli, pubblicherò presto un video su YouTube in cui mostrerò le differenze di colore tra i modelli ordinati e quelli ricevuti.
Dategli un'occhiata prima di acquistare.

I have been dealing with guidomaggi for sometime now. I have bought 4 different shoes from them. The quality is superb and the service is exceptional.

These shoes are not custom made, and do not fit well with a small height increase insole. The company produces a universal shoe which can accommodate a range of insoles, from 3cm to over 10cm. When you order the shoe, they throw in the requested insole and call it a custom shoe.

I purchased one with the smallest insole. The insole is a commercially available plastic insole, which was thinner than the shoe, so unstable, with a piece of leather glued on. These guys should be embarrassed to call themselves Italian shoemakers.

Because they claim the shoe is custom, they refuse to take returns or exchanges citing that it is a custom made product. This is against EU law and fraud. Unfortunately the only recourse is to go to small claims court to get a refund.

The result for the customer is, if you order a shoe with the smallest insole, the dimensions of the shoe are totally wrong, there is a huge space between the top of your foot and the laces, space which would be filled with the largest insole. The shoe has a huge bubble between the sole and the top of the shoe, which is totally obvious, and ugly, but the product photos are taken at such angles that it's not nearly as noticeable.

Customer service was pretty rude, dishonest, sent only voice messages (making it harder to file a complaint)— and for the price the shoe is absolutely mediocre. Totally disappointing and not recommended.

Luxury, great customer service. The minute i saw the box, I knew I had made a great purchase. I purchased the ALABAMA, I am very happy with it. Much recommended!

Questa è la seconda volta che ordino da loro, sono davvero contento, le scarpe con il rialzo che a differenza di molti marchi che si vedono in giro sono comode, realizzate con cura e soprattutto passione e precisione. Simpaticissimo il fondatore del brand che in prima persona si prende cura delle esigenze del cliente. Che è una rarità oggi giorno.

Ho visitato l'ufficio quando ero a Lecce e ho incontrato Chiara e Emanuele. L'accoglienze era molto cordiale. Sono di Melbourne, Australia e volevo delle scarpe fatto a mano. Hanno misurato e spedito le scarpe al mio hotel a Napoli due settimane dopo. Sono molto soddisfatto del risultato. Non sono fluente parlando Italiano ma riconosco la qualità quando la vedo. I inquired to have dress shoes delivered before an important meeting event. The owner promised be he would have it delivered on the 17th, however they arrived earlier on the 16th! Had some extra time to practice wearing them. (Total 16 days to get them shipped from overseas)

Experience wearing them: They are very durable & comfortable as well. I chose the 2.4 inches height boost option. I went clubbing as well 2 days in a row with them and they're still in good shape.
(P.S take care of the shoes even though the quality is good, they are like any shoe, I'm only wearing mine for important events or going out clubbing)
