Guitar Mastery Method is by far the…
Guitar Mastery Method is by far the best guitar learning group/site I’ve been a member of. It provides a constant flow of new live lessons with the most amazingly knowledgeable, passionate, talented instructors who provide direct feedback. New material has been constant in the last 2 years, making it very hard to not want to play the guitar. The community is also filled with positive, like minded, influential players learning right along with you. And did I mention the immense progress I’ve made in the past few years? If you are wanting to improve quickly, GMM is the place!
I am not understanding where these negative reviews are coming from, unless it is from competitors, or possibly members who didn’t put time and effort into learning. Any time I have had any questions or issues support has always promptly addressed the issue in a timely manner.

I have learned a lot more tha expected
I have learned a load and advanced my guitar playing a lot as for the people who give bad views about the courses it seems to me that your expecting over night results it takes a long time and practice to get good at playing guitar and as for the people that said that they could not keep up with the course that is total crap all the courses are self paced it does not matter if you take longer that it says to,it is self paced fools.

I am totally confused by all the negative ratings. I have been a member for about 3 years now and have learned and improved so much over this time. Yes it cost about 27 per month and it is well worth it if you are serious about learning to play guitar. What would it cost to take private lessons once a week? There are several courses to choose from and they are all excellent. The instructors are great and the facebook group consists of a bunch of us players wanting to learn and supporting each other in our journey. If you are serious about wanting to learn to play guitar, this is a great and enjoyable opportunity to do so.

I have improved immensely the last year
The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and take you through each lesson, unlike some where they give a brief, quick run through and then leave you floundering with pdfs of tabs.
I highly recommend the master the fretboard, and guitar 101 courses before you check out all of the others available to you

The 10-Week Master the Fretboard Workshop helped me learn the notes on the board after years of struggling...giving up... trying again... and giving up again.
They laid everything out so easily and it really helped me make progress.

Its a scam
I buy the service and 2 days later I saw a guy on YouTube with lessons for free not just free but I think the best lessons than GMM.
So i requested for a refund and its been weeks now but nothing happened. Totally SCAM!
DONT BUY THE SERVICE OF GMM

Crappy Experience
I’ve purchased several of the lesson DVD’s….supposedly “free”….just paid the S&H fees….none of the discs will play…I always get the message, “Please try a different disc. We can’t play this one. (0x91d7001).
I’ve ended up throwing most of them away out of frustration.

The vip access is worth it BUT
I have been a member of GMM for a few years and made good progress with the courses. I had a lot of faith in Charlie Wallace and the guys. So much so that I signed up for the over 50's course even though the cost was quite high for me. It went wrong and I wasn't enrolled and e mails were ignored (which is unusual for them). Eventually made contact and course was no longer available as full. Was offered a refund or 12 weeks of Elite with a pro guitarist on 1 to 1 basis. I took it......DISASTER. It went badly. Every week was like starting anew every week. Unprofessional. In fairness, the tutor said he had no info on me, I just appeared on his calendar. Promised backup docs were never sent unless repeatedly asked for. I requested a change of tutor after 6 weeks, which was done and that was a lot better if you ignore the tutor not turning up twice. Due to all the cock ups, I expected GMM to do something to compensate me and bring me on board again. That is ,put a smile on my face. I sent a two page summary of my experience. Result... an e mail from someone I never heard of saying ...Thanks, we were surprised that you didn't enjoy it!!!!! He said they would use my experience to improve things and make sure Charlie was aware.
I kinda feel my trust in them has been broken and so I am looking elsewhere and drifting away from GMM although I have lifetime access to their courses which I will use BUT will never ever pay for any special courses and the like.
Very disappointed with GMM. Feel VERY let down.

I'm shocked at the poor reviews
I'm shocked, really, at poor reviews of this site. Eddie and Charlie are fantastic teachers. I've only been on the site for a couple of weeks. I've already learned tons. The key is to work at it -- like anything else. They give insight after insight, in plain simple language. Superb instruction, a huge amount of material, at a price which -- well, C'mon. How much would you spend on a couple of in-person lessons?
I've signed up for a few other sites the past couple months. Some are excellent, in particular Justin Guitar. I review that on his site review. This is the site I'm going to every day.
I'm 68. Started playing when I was 18. Learned a bit, understood music, a lot of the basics. But never actually studied guitar. Now I'm studying it -- every day, which is the key to learning anything, or making decent progress. It's going to take awhile, a good long while, I know. That's okay. I can feel myself getting better day at a time.
In my book, you can't go wrong with this site. The only way to go wrong, is to not do the work, and then blame the site or the instructors. Eddie and Charlie have the goods, and they share them in abundance. It's up to us to put in the work to develop the skills.

Way back in january I bought a GMM book on amazon, it gave me access to master the fretboard workshop 2.0, now 8 months they took away the course from my membership and wanting me to pay 97 dollars for something that was already given to me after I registred my purchase, for 8 months I was satisfied with them, if it was possible I would delete my account, I do not recommend them, it's a fraud

Deceptive marketing ... to much disingenuous nonsense
Starts out with offering something free for your Email address When you sign up for a Membership it's only $47 USD ... but wait... for only $97 USD you get upgraded to the "delucks" package and when you agree to that you get hit with ... but wait for only $1 USD you get a 14 day Trial of the "VIP Membership" which is only $ 27 USD per month if you decide to continue. What you're actually agreeing to is $47 USD + $97 USD + $1 USD for a total of $145 USD which showed up as "recurring" on my Credit Card statement.
VIP Membership gets you in to the Guitar Mastery Method VIP Facebook Group which consists of mostly older Dudes and amateurs butchering riffs in their basements.
Before and after you Join you will be hyped via Email about how GMM's only purpose is the help you achieve your Guitar playing dreams.When I inquired about my Credit Card statement showing recurring charges before I had agreed they offered a Year of VIP Membership free and had already booted me from the GMM VIP Facebook group.
I did 3 Lessons and they seemed OK but I got 3 or 4 Emails and day that all seemed like some kind of hustle. ended up asking for a refund since I thought I had only agreed to $98 USD and nothing recurring. They said it will be in my account in a few days. If you like hype and drama GMM is for you. If you want to learn guitar look around at some of the other online Guitar Lesson Sites and read the reviews before you sign up so you don't waste your time with GMM like I did.

My whole experience with Guitar Mastery has been frustrating! I bought the book a few months back to practice at home on my own time. I noticed I was being charged monthly for a guitar course I have never subscribed to for months. I am still trying to get a refund and the guy who's looking after this is just telling me lies. Stay away from them!

Excellent, for those who REALLY want to learn and Improve...I found the free downloads, just by following the Links...I'm sorry for these bad reviews, perhaps they just expect to become A FANTASTIC guitarist overnight!... As for the comments about "Spam" emails...just click on the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the e-mail! These lessons are well prepared with the majority having downloadable PDF and Backing tracks...All the teachers are professional musicians with great pedigrees...the GMM Facebook community has over 56,000 members and help with any questions you may have..with the VIP club you get 4 live sessions per month amongst so many other bonuses. I have been a member since October 2022 and, at the age of 68, my knowledge and overall guitar-playing skills are increasing daily...thank you, Charlie, Eddie, Jeavon, and all the support team. - these are the best lessons out there.

So far so good
So far so good. Signed up for 101 course and it's exactly what I'd anticipated. Everything is broken down into the basics (some of it very basic, but a lot of stuff that isn't). And then there's the exercises. There's a set of exercises to repeat every day for 30 days... So far I'm about 14 days in having done about 6 days (life gets in way) but determined to crack on.
I'd definitely say it's a bit trickier than for complete novices but so far so good.

True to their word, I got a full refund.
Signed up to GMM just before Christmas with the intention of doing their courses and getting back into guitar. Unfortunately life just got in the way, as it always does and I didn't have any time to go through their materials.
I asked to cancel and despite a brief attempt to upsell me to their VIP service (which I politely declined and reaffirmed my request to cancel) they instantly processed my refund, no questions, no argument.
One thing I will criticise GMM on is their HARD SELL method, everything is an upsell, add-on, value add, buy this, spend that, hey look over here there's something else, buy our VIP, hey have you heard about our VIP?! Why not become a VIP! etc. and it's really off putting. Like, REALLY off putting and the daily emails! I must have gotten about 10 e-mails in the first 24 hours. It's a really hard sell strategy and I personally didn't appreciate it, but I unsubscribed to the e-mails and they did indeed stop.
But I will say their course material that I saw looks fairly well produced and user friendly, I just sadly didn't have the time or inclination to get into it right now.

Just another marketing sales pitch. They offer free stuff then once they get your credit card details they deduct money without authorisation. Do not trust them with card details. Lots of hidden things in the way they sell. You pay the freight for a free 10 min CD. This was not even worth the half the freight costs. Like anything, time, practice and commitment will make you better at anything. You will get 10 emails everyday even when you ignore them

I feel Charlie and the crew do an awesome job. There are many ways to teach/show people how to do everything. I HAVE BENIFITTED HUGE by taking their courses ! I have been playing for 30 years on and off. I can be an awesome parrot, I can learn songs from tab. Play the solo's and and rhythm. Coming up with my own licks and chops was a little difficult, until I joined Guitar mastery method. I feel this site is better than most. I have tried a couple others and felt this was the best for me. I highly recommend this site for the very beginner. I feel that you can't go wrong with these guys.
