Such a friendly atmosphere and a great giggle such a great business

We had a wonderful time splashing in the crystal clear waters of the St Ninians beach tombolo and then warming up and relaxing in the Haar Sauna.
Alex and his trusty canine friend Arthur were brilliant hosts!
Highly recommend!

The sauna is in the most beautiful location, next to the dunes on the edge of St. Ninian's beach. The combination with wild swimming was fantastic. The staff was very welcoming.

Sauna on St Ninians Beach was a wonderful experience. The location has awesome veiws of waves rolling in both sides of the beach . Plenty sea birds dipping in for their catch and I was always on the watch for a seal or whale . The beach is kept so tidy and debris free it’s a pleasure to walk along . Sunrises and sunsets are a golden asset to the location .
The staff at Haar Sauna are so friendly and welcoming . I was very impressed by their health and safety brief before enjoying the experience. This made me feel safe using the sauna . It is a joyful experience which makes you feel relaxed and calm and also have a great sleep that night!

My husband and I had an unforgettable experience at the Haar sauna at St Ninians Isle. We visited on 29th December 2024 when we were in Shetland visiting family. We originally booked the 28th which ended up clashing with a family event. We contacted the customer service team 10 days prior who responded quickly and were able to move our booking.

It was cold and windy and to be honest when we walked down the road we were dreading it. We were welcomed by a cheery host. We were instantly inspired by others braving the crashing waves. We went in the sea first then rushed to the sauna to start our session. Very cosy. Plenty of room. There were 6 of us in the community session. We felt that the session was good value for money. We braved 3 cold dips in total with plenty of warming up time in the sauna in between. Very cosy. Highly recommend a visit to the sauna!!

I've been several times now to the Brae sauna and ice bath. The attendants are always friendly and helpful, and the experience has always been relaxing and restful.

Great to have Haar sauna 5mins from my home! Lovely helpful staff. Bought the package for 10 sessions.Always look forward to it. 🤩

What a great addition to St Ninian’s Isle tombolo- a beautiful location. There is nothing better than a dip in the sea at 7 degrees and then warming up in the 80+ degrees sauna, while having a much needed catch-up with friends. What a wonderful morning!

This is by the far the best experience I have had in a long time! We did the Aufguss session which was beyond words. The setting is ideal, the water refreshing, the sauna warming - I could have stayed all day long! Thank you to Cal for the best day ever!!

What a fantastic addition to Shetlands wellbeing resources. At St Ninians you have the splendour of the sea and sand dunes for your cold therapy, and in Brae you have a plunge pool you can dip in and out of, or brave the marina. Whichever you choose, the combination of that and the sauna heat treatment leaves you both relaxed and invigorated. So good for physical and mental wellbeing, and your skin health. Friendly staff and great experience. Will be a new regular treat!

Fully, fully recommend a visit to Haar Sauna if you’re in Shetland! 3 of us travelling were unable to get a community slot so booked a private session and it was just amazing. Went for a dip in the ocean beforehand and subsequent dips during the session - this was in October so not the warmest but the feeling you get from hot/cold therapy CANNOT be underestimated! Claire, who (wo)manned the sauna was absolutely lovely and ensured we had the best time. My parents, who are not the biggest sauna people l, ended up saying it was the best experience they’d had. 12/10 - do not miss out on booking if you want a unique Shetland experience.

Excellent experience at the Haar Sauna this afternoon! The lovely lady was so helpful with plenty of advice and we had a buzzing time! The proximity to the waves was excellent - just long enough to run and short enough not to get too cold coming back! 😁

Had such a lovely time at the Sauna on Saturday. Had to reschedule due to a flight not getting in and the team were so accommodating and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

I had a great experience in this sauna. It was very authentic. The views over the sand dunes were very special. There is nothing like a dip in the cold waters off the beach to wake you up, follow this up by warming up in the sauna again, I would recommend this to anyone.

A very good sauna experience it never dropped below 95c The location is divine on the beach at St Ninians with cool offs in turquoise water swimming with seals. The staff were excellent
