Harry Ramsden's Avis 

Harry Ramsden's steak pies used to be good but now seem to have gone downhill with tougher meat and less flavour than before. I would question whether it's really steak or a cheaper cut of beef. Disappointed and will not buy again.

What went wrong is the first thing to appear on this comment sheet.

The first thing that went wrong was walking over the threshold. I have never been so utterly disappointed with an eating establishment in my life.

No contact with any staff whatsoever.. using tech to order.... non English speaking ridiculous price for a micro portion .... I could go on and on but what is the point

Just avoid like bubonic plague ... disgraceful

Visited yesterday, food was lovely and staff were very friendly and quick with service

£4 for steak pie from Iceland,4 pieces of steak not one edible do not buy as you will still be hungry 😠

45 mins to get my drink and then food portion was like a kids plateful

Went to the Harry Ramsden's in Cheshire Oats. I went at lunchtime and had an amazing experience. The food was excellent and the member of staff, Kieran made the experience more amazing.

Overall, I recommend this place to anyone. This place has amazing and well-made food and polite and professional stuff.

Every time we come to Cheshire Oaks from Manchester (we come a lot) we always eat at Harry Ramsden’s. Gill is like a breath of fresh air, attentive, caring, considerate she really makes us feel like family. Kie and Ash are both as wonderful. I will never eat anywhere else in Cheshire Oaks… (unless this place is closed!)

Harry Ramsdens famous for Fish and chips oh no this place is an overpriced RIP OFF PRICES and all WENTWORTH TUCKER as I was expecting 😢 to see Joan Ferguson in there so if you want to meet the freak you can get down there! When I buy a meal and I'm paying a lot for it I expect quality this is Wentworth Tucker it's 💩 as if you take Daniels Fish and chips they have been in Yarmouth since the fifties they are delicious and lovely will say this place is a disgrace as staff are miserable and rude I expect better than this garbage 🗑 service so just don't go here avoid it and go to Daniels instead you will be glad you did as you will save money and get a better meal and not Wentworth Tucker like here so remember keep away from this place!

Was in Bournemouth & my colleagues advised me to visit Harry Ramsden's for Fish & Chips & a stroll a walk along the Beach & Pier ... sounds idyllic ...

WHAT? come on Harry ! Even Weatherspoon's does Gluten Free, AND the Chippy on my Local Council Estate has all their chips Gluten free & even does Gluten free batter.

Bought some harry ramsdam fish fingers found to have a lot of bones in them . Glad didn’t give to children . Very disappointed. Will not be buying any of their products again.

What’s happened to the famous Harry Ramsden quality. Took my wife out for a lunch time treat! We were served with meager portions of greasy battered haddock, semi peeled unattractive chips and a small pot of mushy peas. At Cheshire Oaks restaurant.

Blackpool HR, ordered Fish and Chips and pot of tea. The fish was honestly the smallest portion I had ever seen. Nothing like their advertised picture. Pot of tea? It came in a paper cup. Tables dirty. Real shame as Harry Ramsdens used to be the place to go…now the place to avoid.

Purchased HR frozen fish and chips. Tasteless fish, would never buy again. Chips wern't much better.

Blackpool Harry Ramsden’s at 6.15 pm Sunday. Pleasant and apologetic female staff turning numerous people away at the manager’s request. Warned it could take 25 mins for a table plus 45 mins for food. We decided to wait. That said the restaurant had a number of empty tables and it really did take an age for them to take our order. Drinks could have been brought earlier whilst we were waiting. Food when it came was hot and in the main tasty but the fish was a little overdone tending to be on the dry side. Need more attentive staff who are more willing to work and receive direct guidance by management.

Just don't bother... slow service... long queues, in a town devoid of many restaurants, it is a virtual monopoly.

Food cold long hair found twice in mushy peas poor hygiene women serving food with very long hair tied up but not in a hair net this was a the Cheshire oaks Harry Ramsdens long wait for food over all not impressed food cold on arrival

Visited your Blackpool branch this evening, arriving at approximately 6pm, waited 15 mins for our drinks order to be taken along with our meal request. I appreciate its a Friday night and things are busy, but had to ask for our drinks after waiting an additional 30 mins, to be bought out incorrectly from our request. Which was then corrected and apologised for.Our food arrived 15 mins or so later. The food I have no issue with, tasted nice, hot etc but no acknowledgement of the wait given . When the lady now known to be the manager who i will come onto in a minute came to clear our table and asked was everything okay with the food we said yes food was but didnt mention the slow service. We then waited 20 mins for a dessert that never arrived and asked to speak to the manager to express our dissatisfaction with the service we recieved as this was now almost 2 hours after we arrived. We were met with a hostile tone and a argumentative nature and she didnt want top listen or acknowledge how we felt. We feel the manager needs to be sent on a conflict resolution course as she matched our disgruntled behaviour and raised her voice to us. After cancelling the dessert due to the time delay and no other member of the party (4 people)being offered a dessert she was reluctant to amend the bill for a item never received when it came to paying the amended bill her manners were atrocious and became no existent and stormed off once payment had been processed. Will never visit a Harry Ramsden establishment again and wouldn't recommend to friends and family.

Was seated in a booth.. table was sticky and had obvious scum marks in corners, it was filthy so we asked to be moved! 2nd table was sticky, but clean looking so we stayed! Food was absolutely delicious, the staff wer courteous and service was fast! I wouldn't go back here again just because of that first table!! But I can't fault the service or the food! Just give the cleaners a good talking to ;)

BOURNEMOUTH SEA FRONT BRANCH.
Spent £25 on two large cod and regular chips, waited for half hour expecting freshly cooked, got the worst fish I have ever had, dried up and re heated, batter rock hard and inedible.Do not believe that a well known names means good quality. I will never use HR again for food, better to go to an independent fish and chips and see them cook it fresh.

We always visit Harry Ramsdens on our annual family beach trip and cannot ever fault the food or service. Although this year I was really shocked when I asked a member of staff if there was a vegan option which apparently there is not, FIRST restaurant I have ever visited that cannot cater for this lifestyle. Shocking for such a large chain.
