Harvey Norman Ireland - Limerick Avis 

IWas sold a tablet holder, snapped after 6 weeks . 40 euro down the drain. Non of the limerick staff I delt with knew the consumer law and tried to SELL me another case.
My contract is with harvy norman, if the product is and was faulty it is stated in consumer law that you either
Replace
Refund
Repair.
If a product is not fit for purpose and clearly a tablet case that snaps after less then 6 weeks is not fit for purpose.
I WAS NOT OFFERED ANY OF THESE.
I WILL ADVISE ALL CUSTOMERS TO AVOID AND GO TO CURRYS OR SOUNDSTORE

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S25 FE from Harvey Norman and I’m very happy with the experience. The ordering process was smooth and everything went exactly as expected.

The delivery was very fast, which was a big plus. Communication from the store was also very good — I received clear updates about my order status.

Overall, the whole experience was very positive. I’m very satisfied with the phone and the service, and I would definitely recommend Harvey Norman.

When the goods are on stock, you get delivery and install service in a matter of days. Be aware purchasing goods which are not on stock...

Ordered a washing machine for click and collect (having checked that it was indeed in stock) and received very specific email "Do not come to the store until your receive your ready to collect message". After one week of waiting I eventually rang the store only to casually be told 'oh yeah, that's ready for you'. God knows how long I'd have been waiting otherwise!

The staff from Harvey Norman limerick store were excellent, they gave me all the information about new products in the store and helped me with everything I was looking for. I bought the new Samsung S26 Ultra, Shoaib provided me with all the information I needed to know about the phone before buying. Michelle and Simon served me on the checkouts and they were brilliant and provided me with all the details regarding insurance/ warranty for the device. Excellent customer service from the staff I dealt with in store.

I visited the Limerick store in mid-January to purchase a number of appliances and household items for our new home. During the visit I selected everything we needed, including a black dishwasher, and was given a price for the full order while the items were on sale.

Before confirming the purchase, I asked several times if the quoted price included all the items we had discussed. I repeated the items and relied on the confirmation I was given. As the price seemed slightly better than another retailer I had visited, I proceeded with the order.

Despite the order being placed in mid-January, the smaller items were never delivered. When the larger appliances arrived yesterday, the dishwasher was also missing.

When I contacted the store to ask about the missing dishwasher, I was told that we had never looked at dishwashers during my visit. I was able to describe the conversation and the specific dishwasher I had selected. Alex stated that if CCTV showed we had gone to the dishwasher section he would honour it. Less than an hour later I received an email stating that CCTV had been reviewed and that we had not looked at dishwashers.

As customers are not allowed to view the CCTV footage themselves, there is no way to independently verify this, despite my clear recollection of the discussion and the item selected.

This order has involved missing items, delivery delays, and now a dispute over a product I believe was clearly discussed at the time of purchase. Given the scale of the order for a new home, the experience has been extremely disappointing.

My advice to other customers would be to physically check the full order before it is processed and make sure every item you selected is clearly listed on the invoice. I asked several times if everything was included and trusted that confirmation, but in hindsight I should have verified the order line by line before agreeing to it.

The price was great, there was a hiccup with some parts missing but I contacted the store & the store manager Hazel sorted everything out & I had the parts within a couple of days, very helpful & a great staff member to deal with.

We had to wait nearly a month to receive our item. Not good enough.

Item delivered as promised and on time arranged. Old furniture removed also as promised.

My delivery was arranged for Thursday 26th February. I had received several text messages from HN confirming my delivery day. I arranged for someone to stay at my house on this day to receive my delivery. By 4:30pm there was no sign of delivery and I hadn’t received a call from a delivery driver. When I called HN to enquire about my delivery I was informed that it had been rescheduled to Tuesday 3rd March. I had not been previously informed about this and I expressed my disappointment to the person I was speaking to. The person apologised and said someone would call me shortly - they didn’t. I rang again on Friday 27th and was told the store manager would call me back. The manager did call me and apologised for what he called the ‘misunderstanding’ (there was no misunderstanding on my part - I understood perfectly when my delivery was due) and said it would be delivered to me on Tuesday 3rd March. I asked for the delivery to be after 2pm on that day as I couldn’t ask somebody to stay at my house for another whole day. The manager assured me I would have my delivery after 2pm. On the morning of Tuesday 3rd March I received a call from the delivery driver saying they would be at my house at 10am. I told the driver I had arranged for the delivery after 2pm and he said that he knew nothing about that and if I couldn’t receive the delivery at 10am I would have to reschedule. I ended up having to take annual leave from work to go home and receive my delivery. So my experience with HND was completely unsatisfactory and would make me reconsider ever buying from the store again.
On a separate note the 2 men who delivered and installed my dishwasher were very pleasant, efficient and did a good job.

Bought tv and washing machine. Told both were able to be ordered. 5 days later told tv unavailable anywhere so we went in to choose a replacement. One phone call from HN involved a member of staff telling me my wine rack was unavailable - I hadn't even ordered a wine rack! Washing machine was to be delivered but, on inspection, it was the one from display - NOT what we had bought and NOT highlighted to us. We had paid for a NEW machine NOT a display model. Got a refund and went elsewhere. We will not be back for anything electrical.

Two men showed up on time, assembled chairs. All done professionally. Thanks Harvey.
