I bought this VP09 to portion out the large quantities of fruit, vegetables, and meat I purchased at Costco. It seals effectively, removing air completely. The buttons are highly responsive—a big improvement over the model I used previously—and it stops automatically once the process is complete. It arrived two days ahead of schedule, which I really appreciated.

I bought a meat shredder. I usually hate cleaning kitchen tools like this because they contain hidden blades, but this model features a blade-free design; it’s incredibly easy to rinse, and there’s no risk of cutting myself. In just a minute or two, it effortlessly shreds cooked chicken breast for tacos, yielding a great texture.

I make a habit of prepping my meals for the week on Sundays, and this tool saves me a huge amount of time when processing meat and vegetables. I like to prep and bag various seasoned ingredients in advance to avoid waste; I store them in the freezer and take them out when needed - they still taste incredibly fresh. I am very happy with my purchase of VP09.

2 Year Review. After almost 2.5 years, and several dozen uses, the battery finally got down to 47%, so I decided to charge it and write a review. I use it on both small and large mouth mason jars. When I put it on a jar, I push the button on top and let the unit run until the display reads 35, then I push the top button again to stop the unit and I can hear the lid pop as the jar seals (super easy). Well made, sturdy unit that is a little larger in diameter than a 32oz (1 quart) mason jar. All of my spices, coffees, sauces, cigars, etc. have kept for months (and years) as long as I use this to seal them up each time after opening their container.

- Obviously holds a charge for a very long time

- Well made (has survived a few drops from the counter)

- Creates a vacuum solid enough to make removing the mason jar lid a chore
- Blends in with the rest of my appliances
- The jar adapter (small mouth to wide mouth) secures to the unit, so i don't lose parts
Cons
- Can only be used on mason jars
If you own mason jars and use them for anything other than hot canning, you should consider buying this vacuum sealer. I'm known to be.....picky.....and I would buy this again.
