It was not mentioned before that we will need to hire separate attorney for clearing our doubts on the prenuptial Questions. Nor it was mentioned anywhere that a separate notary service need to be hired. When the service mentioned full prenuptial agreement service then it should provide full end to end service. I could have downloaded a sample prenuptial agreement or use chatgpt or something to help me draft one.

This was a very straight forward process. Working with your partner to review the questionnaire portion is helpful. This would be the best service and completely stress free IF the website actually provides suggested legal services like it advertises. At least, if you live in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area, you will not find legal services to review the prenup. Whatever you thought you were saving, you may end up spending on legal fees after all! Some may not want to have an attorney review it, but that is a huge faux pas and may pay for it later when a judge denies the validity of the prenup regardless of notary signatures.

I used Hello Prenup to create my wedding prenup. I found that going on yelp and trying to find an attorney to do it was close to $5000. Hello Prenup only charged me $600 to do it. Then in my state I required legal counsel for myself and my fiance. We both got legal counseling through Hello Prenup where the legal counsel had access to my prenup. It was a pretty straight forward and easy experience. We ended up saving close to $3000 on our prenup and it was super easy to do.

My fiance and I used Hello Prenup to draft and finalize our prenup. The questionnaire is straightforward - it would be nice if you could see as you were doing it what your state default is so you can make a judgment with that context rather than waiting until the document is fully generated.

The negotiation portion is helpful and made it easy to get on the same page about things with my partner.

This is a startup so the platform is improving by the month - even over the past 5 months I've had an account I've seen improvements to how they are doing things and communicating with users. For the price it's a great option and their customer support team is fantastic and quick to answer any questions. I think as they grow their lawyer network in each state, it will be even easier to both have representation to get an attorney to review the document from Hello Prenup. We paid for that discounted full representation ($699 each) in CA which was still a good deal but then we realized we needed to generate a DC legal document, and they did not have the discounted rates with DC attorneys.

This was such a nice cheaper alternative way to get this done! Made an uncomfortable situation easy!

Easy to use, though you need to go over your draft with an attorney to fully understand it. I had Susan as my attorney and she's a wonderful, kind person and I felt safe and taken care of with her. We went through the document together to make sure I understood what we were signing later. She made sure to put it into words I could comprehend. It's still not super inexpensive, especially with the attorney's fees (both parties need representation if you waive spousal support) but nothing to do with law is.. but I think def. more cost effective than hiring a lawyer.

Susan was absolutely amazing! She took the time to break down the whole contract for me, section by section, making sure I had zero questions before moving on. What truly set her apart was her unwavering passion for her work. You can tell she genuinely wants to see you succeed and protect your most important assets. She's non-judgmental, super understanding, and goes the extra mile. I've chatted with her about 3-4 times, and she's so friendly and kind that it feels like we've been friends forever. I can't thank her enough for going above and beyond, and I HIGHLY recommend her. I seriously can't say enough good things about her work!

The Short of the Long is that HelloPrenup was great!

The long of the short:
I'll start by saying that this review comes from a middle class couple with decent salaries and a few assets. In my opinion, our 'case' was relatively simple one, yet it was still something that was important to one of us.

The platform itself is great - you each answer questions, mostly multiple choice, and when you're done, you have to go through the conflicting answers until your answers match. So, it made for some interesting conversations.

There are tons of pre-populated questions that range from age, income, job, assets, children, liabilities, debts, inheritances, medical insurance, life insurance,

The property section goes through each type of property, and then asks if you want it classified as "Separate", "Default to State Laws" (which I can only assume would be community property in CA), and finally "Ask an Attorney".

If you select "Ask an attorney", it keeps track of your questions and at the end, they link you to one of their pre-vetted attorneys for 1 hour (for an additional fee, of course). There's a 2nd option where you can opt for a full Attorney Review & Signing.

Ultimately, my fiancé opted to speak with an attorney. It came as no surprise (to me at least) that her recommendation was to have an attorney review and sign off (another fee). However, I can't say enough good things about this woman. She was experienced, kind, and extremely down to earth. She looked at the whole process so positively. There was no sense of urgency on the phone with her and I think she really took her time answering his questions.

Her final piece of advice was for me to also have my own attorney review, for another fee, of course. My experience with the attorney I chose was a very different one. He was very straight and to the point, which happened to suit my personality well.

Opting in for the attorney review cost us an extra $1,500. Do I think that it was necessary? Personally, not really, not with the amount of assets we have. But then again, I've never been through a divorce so what do I know. I do know one thing, I hope I never have to look back one day and be thankful that I spent that extra money.

I'm giving 4 stars only because of the lack of transparency. You can't really see what you're paying for until you pay for it. I completely understand that this is how they keep their platform proprietary, but it did make it feel like a bit of a gamble.

Both attorneys said that the platform has been reviewed and developed by many attorneys. They said it's really strong and covers everything you'd need!
