I found Adele my initial contact and Ryan, who was my onboarding/go-to person, to be very helpful. I appreciated the way we discussed my requirements before I came onboard. Unprofessional and useless. Stay away!

Unprofessional and useless. Keep being charged even after cancelling my subscription with them. Can’t speak to a person in the UK!!! Oversees call centres! Keep receiving emails for more documents. Stay away, save your money.

No communication whatsoever between them, have to keep explaining myself time and again. Seriously. Stay away, save your money.

The entire team is Amazing ! (from customer service, on-boarding, email support & accounting) - I had a deadline in difficult circumstances, and my previous accountant gave me bad advice. HelpBox corrected the tax mistakes, providing the correct HMRC rules to be able to maximise my tax situation and support me submission of account on time - Great team work 1

Great customer experience!

I recently had my onboarding call with my Helpbox, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. From the very beginning, the team was professional, welcoming, incredibly well-prepared and knowledgeable.

They took the time to clearly explain the process, answered all of my questions in detail, and made what could have been a complicated conversation feel straightforward and manageable.

The call was well-structured, efficient, and tailored to my specific needs. It’s clear they genuinely care about supporting their clients and building long-term relationships. Thank you so much, Sivu, for making everything easy to understand and digestible.

I’m looking forward to working with them and would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for reliable, knowledgeable accountants.

Unprofessional and useless accountants.

After I searched an accountant online for my sole trader business, Helpbox UK called me with an offer to run my accounts for me. They asked for an initial payment in January, which I paid the next day. After many many emails and phone conversations, empty promises and my sending tones of documents, Helpbox UK failed to even add me as their customer. Unprofessional and useless to the point of being dangerous. If they can't register a new customer, how would they do my accounts? I am strongly advising everyone to stay away from them.

I had a really great experience with…

I had a really great experience with Helpbox. From start to finish, the team was professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful. They took the time to make sure everything was handled smoothly and that I felt supported throughout the process.
It’s clear they truly care about their customers, and that level of service is rare these days. I really appreciate the effort they put in and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.

They were quick to take my upfront fee…

They were quick to take my upfront fee when I registered with them, after that it was nothing but failed promises, including not contacting me when they say they would. They said they would set up a up a dashboard when they didn't, and from first point to over a month later I still had no idea what they were actually doing so don't waste your money or your time.

Using an accountant for the first time…

Using an accountant for the first time after entering the world of contracting and starting my own limited company. The process with Helpbox has been so easy and they have been so helpful, answering any questions I have and explaining things to me in clear simple terms. Sivu Gilili, who walked me through onboarding, was particularly great, explaining everything clearly and easing my concerns, as this is a new experience for me. Highly recommend.

The worst experience you could have (hopefully)

At first everything seemed very professional, with on-boarding calls etc. However, when it came to production of my accounts the poor quality of this organisation revealed itself.

With just over 2 weeks to go until my filing deadline I chased them up. A few days later I chased again and eventually got something alleging to be my accounts. Unfortunately there were numerous errors, misallocations, incorrect assumptions etc. It took 48 hours to get someone on the phone who I could actually discuss these with in some detail.

I was then promised a revised and updated set of accounts to arrive 4 days before the filing deadline - allowing some small amount of time to make any adjustments.

Here I am now, filing deadline is tomorrow and I have no accounts. Tried calling several times, but the phone has cut-off whilst I am holding (having spoken to a receptionist type person).

I had a message to say they would get the accounts to me for tomorrow - leaving zero time for me to query any errors, make adjustments etc. let alone transfer funds from deposit accounts to pay the CT (which they massively under-calculated).

Yes, they are low cost. However, I have had more stress in the last 4 weeks than my previous accountants caused me in many years.

I find their tardy response to queries and laxidasical treatment of important documentation poor in the extreme. Moving to them was the worst business decision of my life.

Always eager to help

Helpbox are always eager to help. They will happily accept difficult tasks and although some of them may take time, they will also complete it and keep clients happy.
