Reported a damage with a mirror

Reported a damage with a mirror, most possibly caused in transit. HIB had no hesitations about replacing the item immediately and without any cost. Can't fault their customer service.

We are about to fit our 3rd cabinet in the space of 4 years
Quality of these units are not suitable for Bathrooms, the mirrors starts to get ingress of steam in them, the cable to the doors tend to wear and cuts off power to the lights

Our older cabinets will have physical wiring running through the hinge mechanism

In our fitting instructions, we give some guidance on how best to tuck excess wiring away, after connection.

There are voids behind the hinge plate on both door and carcass to accommodate this - If you're unsure, please contact us on productsupport@hib.co.uk and the team can assist

I order a replacement glass door for my bathroom cabinet which had some issues. Sarah took my details and arranged to send a replacement door which still under warranty. To my surprise door arrived next morning which was very impressive. Great service.

Midnight Blue touch up kit

I bought some genesis midnight blue units for a new WC and the builder left some saw chips on the edges.
I emailed product support to ask about touch up paint kits or RAL more in hope than expectation so was delighted to get a reply straight back from Sarah with the RAL code (5011) - super responsive service.

Great product poor customer service …

Product was good really good when it works (magnifying led bathroom mirror) how ever joints came lose after a few years, so would not hold it’s position . I phoned customer service who told me it can’t be repaired and I should buy a new one. What a mistake that was, electrician came to fit the new HIB mirror and pointed out 2 screws that can be tightened to secure the arms of the ‘broken’ mirror one of which was behind the mounting plate. Customer service did not say this, this omission cost me £250 including new mirror and electrician , clearly they don’t train support staff on the products .

Warranty Honored

In the days of poor customer service and body swerving of responsibility, the support I have received from HiB has been exceptional - the company honours its warranty, without quibble. I will not hesitate to kit out future houses with their products, which incidentally are also top notch!

Globe LED Mirror

Bought a Globe LED mirror through Porcelanosa which was very expensive at around £500 but was sold as a premium product. LED’s failed after a few years and no repair possible. Even although lifespan of LED specified as 20,000 hours a replacement product was refused by this company.
Beware of buying from this company, see other 1 star reviews for details of similar problems!
Edit:
5 years @ 2 hours per day = 3650 hours of use, well below the 20,000 hours stated in the sales & technical documents. Buyer beware!

Good morning, we're sorry to hear of the fault with your mirror

As confirmed, whilst we do stock parts to resolve certain issues, the one you report is an LED burnout (There isn't anything that we can suggest, in this instance)

Our warranty period for electrical issue is 2 years and upon contacting us, you mention you have had the mirror about 5 years - Well outside of this period

We're extremely sorry that we're unable to support further, this time

Disappointing

Wow! We've had a HiB bathroom cabinet for just over 26 months, so therefore 2 months outside of warranty. The pins on the mirror lighting have failed just two months outside of the cabinet's warranty. Apparently our bathroom fitter has been told there are no replacement parts and there is nothing they can do. So they are looking at a brand new cabinet. This is really disappointing.

Had an issue with bathroom cabinet door where LED stopped working.
Sarah from Product Support was fantastic. Very helpful in resolving the issue. Fast and clear communication. A credit to the team.

A no-quibble service from HiB.

A no-quibble service from HiB.
Our LED edge-lit mirror was installed in summer last year. The edge lighting was always patchy but it was only when I was having another put in elsewhere that I realised it was wrong. I emailed HiB with photos and they had a replacement sent promptly. This was installed yesterday and I'm delighted and can now see what I was missing. Well done HiB!

Great customer service

I purchased a circular light for our ensuite in 2022 - unfortunately the light became defective the last week. I contacted hib customer service via WhatsApp which was very easy, replying withing minutes. They have now sent out a replacement mirror even though we were out of the 2 year warranty. Happy with the customer service we received.

Brilliant customer service

They say it is not until you need help that you can judge a company.

I had to get in touch with HIB concerning a product issue which they dealt with diligently and expeditiously.

The person that helped me (Sarah Griffin) was absolutely spot-on.

I had presumed it would be an utter pain in the butt and a prolonged affair to try and get something sorted but I could not have been more wrong.

Thank you Sarah. I hope that everyone that works there is as good as you.
