They literally buy up stock to make the market sold out then scalp the prices higher. They ruined yest another tech launch from best buy.

I would have been a customer by now but due to a significant lack of communication, I have gone elsewhere for an MSI GS66. UPDATE: Ted Kim reached out to contest my post, listened to my complaint apologized and said HiDev will work on better communication.

They did a great job with my unit but after 2 years it started breaking down because of the heat.
My 4Ghz CPU would downclock to 1.5Ghz making games unplayable and the system very slow.

Before ordering my unit I specifically asked Donald what would be the best thermal paste in terms of longevity and he told me they had the best results with liquid metal. Unfortunately 3 years later I open my unit to repaste it and I discover that the liquid metal has dried out and the remains of it has merged with my copper heatsink... It took me hours to try to remove it without success, then I applied Arctic MX5 on it and it started working almost like new again (throttling to 3.2 Ghz in games instead of 1.5Ghz).
I suspect it cannot reach its full potential because of the remaining of the LM on the copper, but there is nothing I can do about it now...

If they were really professionals they would have known about this issue and told me about it, avoiding me the pain to completely open my system and redo the job myself.

On 25th of April I purchased my workstation MSI Creator Pro Z17 with new RTX A5500 on it. It came perfectly fine, with laser engraving of the second language on the keyboard, no deadpixels and flawless display. Payment by crypto was a very useful option for me. I would like to thank Max and Tim for their work and great communication. Amazing experience with that guys and company!

Absolutely pleased with my customized MSI GS76 Stealth. It's an excellent machine and the upgrades I had done work flawlessly. If I can offer any minor criticism it would be that it took several attempts across several days to get ahold of someone to answer a question I had during the order processing and build process. I will say the resolution was great. Since the build was delayed by one day due to a delay on the RAM I ordered being delivered, they upgraded my shipping to expedited at no charge. All told it was 8 days from order to delivery.

I had been experiencing significant overheating / crashing issues with the custom MSI Alpha 15 laptop I ordered from HIDevolution. After months of issues, I contacted MSI directly and sent it in for an RMA. Unsurprisingly, the issue wasn't fixed. It has only been ~15 months since I've bough this $1800 laptop and it is completely unreliable.

I reached out to HIDevolution for help, for any kind of hardware refund, or a significant discount on a new laptop. Neither was considered, unless you consider $20 offered to me a "significant" discount. I'm on my second RMA to MSI already.

TLDR - avoid HIDevolution and MSI.

Preface this by saying I did not place the order, from reading reviews and my experience with the site, it did not seem advisable. Came across a laptop that was half price (Asus GL551VW-DS71 @$499.99) and was interested. However, they have no specs listed. There was a tab at the bottom of the page when I first found the site, but it has since disappeared and will not show in any browser.
I don't know anyone that would buy a laptop without at least a casual glance at the specs. It makes me suspicious of the situation, and reading the reviews here at trustpilot makes me glad for my caution. I wanted to see if the motherboard was on Asus's list of those that can upgrade to Windows 11, but that's impossible with no information provided.

I came across HIDevolution website by chance while looking for a gaming laptop online. It was a happy coincidence! I received their support right from placing my order until I received my laptop (latest MSI GE66). Special thanks to Ted who accompanied me throughout this adventure! Not only he provided a discount on the shipping fees, he also followed up with DHL when my order got delayed in transit ( since it was destined to Central African Republic). I really appreciated their packaging quality to ensure a safe delivery of such an expensive device ( over 4000 USD worth) to such a remote country. Excellent communication with customers to make placing my first international order a smooth experience. I will be definitely a returning customer. Great job HIDevolution! :)

I've bought two systems from HIDEvolution, and both times they have been excellent to work with. The pricing and service has always been fair considering the high-touch nature of what they do. Both laptops have exceeded my expectations and their customer service and tech support has been excellent to work with the few times I've needed it. I'm glad to know if I need system maintenance or cleaning, I can send them my PC and they will take great care of it. Buying a system from HIDEvolution is a bit like buying art - you're making an investment in something that should last for a long time. The one thing I recommend to anyone looking to buy from HIDEvolution is - be patient. It's not an overnight process. Let them benchmark and burn-in your system, the QA Checks are totally worth it so you don't get a bum computer. It may take a few weeks to a month, maybe a little more (depending on chip shortages and back orders and if the system you want is even released to market yet) to get your PC in your hands, but it will be worth the wait, I promise. Update: the management team told me on the 13th that the refund will be process after the company assess the laptop and take fees out, which I agreed too. The next day they mentioned to me they have the new laptop ready to go but decided to hold off sending the laptop because they wanted to inspect the damaged laptop to which I told them you have both laptops there just send the new one while the first one is being assess and taken cares, to which I said this same thing to a tech friend who also doesn't small computer work and he even agreed. So instead of sending the new laptop they just cancelled my order because they assume sending a new laptop while the first one being assess is a tough task to do.

That being said, it only took them three days from that Tuesday to that Thursday to asses the laptop so them making it seem like it's gonna take a week is a lie. I have all my emails to prove it.

IN SHORT: they refuse service because they got tired of me telling them you have enough people on staff to send the new laptop for shipping while the first one is taken care of by someone else which isn't a hard thing to do.

I bought a laptop from them on June 7th, and tried to install the several SSDs I personally bought for the laptop 4 SSD slots to which I could only use three slots defeating the purpose of buying the laptop. So I contacted them a week ago (July 8th 2021) to return the laptop for the cheaper EVOC laptop I wanted. They demanded I change my review on here to something more positive, ship the item, and when it get to their company they will refund me the money and the laptop.

Come July 14, not only did they cancel my laptop order they also withheld my refund as they were assess the damage to the laptop FedEX cause and told me they wouldn't ship the new laptop to me despite informing me the day before they would and continue to stall under the 30 day return policy expire to keep my $3000.

I already contacted the BBB and PNC Bank and will send email and order proof that I ordered a new laptop using my refund money and Hid are intentionally not wanting to ship the laptop to me.

they're also removing negative reviews selectively to keep it from being blatantly noticeable.

While there were shipping problems, seller was responding to support emails and did outstanding job at accompanying paperwork. Packaging is good and high quality. No defects were found in the laptop itself.
Absolutely recommend!

I want to like them but I can't complete my purchase with them using Affirm. The reason why is because they automatically log you out when checking out with affirm, no matter the affirm app, Chrome, edge, pop up blockers on. Even opening a duplicate window that's logged in will log you out.

Hidevolution seems to have fixed the issue and the order went through. Now it's a pre-order so hopefully that doesn't take long to go through!

SCAMMERS! I am out $4,600 and I'm so freaking pissed. They sold me a Gigabyte laptop unit that had a ton of dead pixels. I sent them the laptop immediately back for repair and they said it wasn't eligible for warranty and wanted me to send another $300 to repair it. I asked for a refund and they kept the laptop. I am out $4,600 and without that laptop. BEWARE.

(Update to respond to reply) Keep in mind, the laptop was received with dead pixels, yet they blame me for the damage screen. And funny enough, they didn't send my laptop back, or a laptop of equivalent value, or a refund after 2 years. Back when I had it google tracked, the laptop was in use often in another part of the country. Most likely sold/ or gave away my laptop to another person. Joke of a company. Have all the evidence backing up my claims. And don't be amused by how fast they reply on here. The email chain had messages weeks apart and I had to ask what the status of my laptop was because they put my repairs to the side because they were no longer making money from me.

I wanted to provide you some feedback for my Window’s Tweak session with Max that I purchased from HIDevolution. In short, it was outstanding! I am an IT Professional with four decades of experience, and even I was impressed. I heard about the service from a fellow IT Professional that used it for her customers, and I decided to give it a try based on her recommendation.

The engineer, Max, is highly skilled, relatable and very efficient. He thoroughly installed the group policies and registry tweaks necessary to git rid of bloatware, disable data collection and privacy intrusions, install anti-virus and create a restore image. In addition, he installed a better search function, a uninstall utility that actually works and an image creator — just to name a few of the improvements I noticed. The session was easy to initiate and the workflow was smooth and enjoyable. It took about two hours.

My system performance improved markedly — boot time went from about a minute and a half to under 30 seconds. Prior to the cleanup, I was concerned that my laptop would not perform adequately for my virtual reality system. It was struggling to perform on Beat Saber, Elvin Archer and Elite Dangerous(!!!). After the tweaks, they work perfectly. This was a significant improvement that is repeatable, as he left me with a clean image that allows me to restore my laptop should that become necessary in the future.

Thank you Max for the fantastic service and expertise, and thank you HIDevolution for offering the tweak session — it was well worth it to me!

It was impressive watching Max tune my new pc and I believe in learnt a few new things trying to keep up with his knowledge on all things computer. I really appreciate his patience and his attitude and wiliness to explain anything I had a question with.

All in all, I am happy with the product & service from Hidevolution and I hope it all runs smoothly. I will definitely be a return customer.

I hadn't heard of HIDevolution before I started looking for a new laptop recently and decided to give them a try. I was really impressed by how many customization options they offer when you buy a laptop. I also found their customer service to be excellent as they were very helpful, informative, and quick to respond to any questions I had. Lastly, the processing was very quick and I was able to receive my laptop very quickly.

I couldn't be more happy with my laptop and am also very happy with the service HIDevolution provided. The people working there are great and really offer a lot. I highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a laptop, especially for those looking at high-end laptops where you want to get things just right and have extra quality control and customization options.

I wanted a fast gaming touchscreen laptop and looked on Newegg. This led me to the MSI WEBSITE that led me to basically designing my own laptop. Which is an MSI touchscreen laptop souped up and shipped by HIDevoulution. I ordered the laptop on a Monday and it was delivered the following Monday. A great turnaround time and unit is working great! I’m most happy with my entire experience with HIDevolution. 84
