Good experience. Tried to write a better review, but it was taken down by trust pilot, so I give up. I hope that trust pilot will allow this one. Dealing with trust pilot is tiring. I had a much better experience with High Desert Spores.
The owners made my experience exceptional. The first time in High Desert Spores, I knew nothing about getting set up to grow some fungi. The owner helped set me up with the product I needed to get started and explained how to use it, the need for sterilizing, and the time frame. It only took a few minutes and I walked out with what I needed, the knowledge of what to do, and with knowing I'd be back. Great place, great product, great people.
So far I am rating this 3 stars it has been 3 day and I haven’t received a email or a confirmation saying if or when my 6x 3 lb grain spawn bags have been sent out so please,email me and help resolve this issue and I’ll fix my rating thank you !
I've tried genetics from other companies, dismal failures. It is my opinion that if you want to grow mushrooms. If you stay with HDS products you can't go wrong!!! No bull 🐂 ,,,HDS shipping is FAST, My order was shipped on Monday and I received it on Wednesday, I live in north west Indiana . that's fast.!!
I've been told for two days now my tracking would be posted nothing still I got spores coming Friday and don't know if my spawn bags going to be here

Hey Nick, we do try to communicate the best we can with our customers we did say in previous messages your order will be out on Wed 11/30 and your response was thank you. you placed your order on Friday 11/25. We do ask for 5-7 business days(Mon-FRI) to process made-to-order items like sterilized spawn bags and substrateas these types of items take time to be cooked and then cooled down before we can ship them to our customer . we do our best to get them out sooner. We do appreciate your business
I had made 2 purchases from High Desert Spores over Labor Day. After the holiday I heard from them in a reasonable amount of time with the holiday. The first order arrived and to my pleasant surprise an additional syringe was included free! And it was a strain I wanted. Then an owner called me about a question on my second order and we figured out everything was good. Well I had colonization in the 2 bags I inoculated with the High Desert Spores and it was the quickest and healthiest looking mycilium I've seen. The growth continued very good and the owner Don spent 20 min answering my growing question and told me to keep him updated. I did, especially when I got lipstick mold in one of the bags. I knew it wasn't the spores but sent Don some pictures. He called again and we figured out I probably had my inoculation temps too high. But I knew it happens in mushroom growing and I still had the rest of the syringe to grow more and still have 2 bags going good. But Don told me he wanted to check my order and then showed me a package addressed to me and he said he wanted to send me a couple of things. Even though I knew it wasn't his fault I got lipstick mold. I felt cared about as a human being and fellow mushroom grower and never had anyone as interested in what was going on with a client and has taken such good care of me as a customer, but person too! I highly recommend High Desert Spores for their superior customer service and fine selection of spore syringes that are 12 cc not 10cc like most vendors.
So far so good. I just placed an order for 1 golden teacher spore syringe 9/14/22 8:30pm. Very easy to order, even had a discount that I could use to save $10 on my first order. 5 stars so far. I will give an update when my order arrives along with any notifications I might get letting me know my order has shipped. Alot of very good products her at Highdesertspores. I ordered all in one grow bags and they ended up molding on me. I got a hold of customer service and they are sending me replacements. They do take a little bit to arrive but they are made to order so don't worry when it doesn't come right away. They are very clear about this when you order. I will buy from them again
SLOW delivery...I've ordered from these guys multiple times and it takes around 2 WEEKS for the order to even ship. Unprofessional

Hi Robert. I can't find your ordcer under your name. Is it under other name? If you ordered substrates, grains, all in one and other made to order items. We ask to our customer to give us up to 10 days to fulfill the order. If you ordered before the Thanksgiving we did have some delays with our carriers. I just wish that you get hold of us first and you know will do whatever it takes to make things right. We wish you the best.
I had a great experience using this company, Spores look amazing! Shipping was super fast and they give me a free syringe… I couldn’t ask for more, thank you guys I will use you in the future and definitely recommend! When I emailed them they got back to me right away and we’re kind and courteous and very helpful.
I am a first time mushroom grower and ordered from HDS on a recommendation from friend. Ordered spore syringe, grain jars, and bulk substrate. Got the order and inoculated the grain. Packing slip indicated I had ordered 15 pounds of substrate and shipped in 1 package. I did not weigh the package of substrate since I've never seen it before. Time came to load my fruiting chamber and I had one 5 pound package of substrate. Tried to get the other two packages and a so-called "customer service" rep named Kay Townsend was confrontational, rude and accused me of lying. You will not find a telephone number for this outfit and e-mail correspondence is slow if you get any at all. Still waiting to hear what her "fraud department" investigation turned up. I will be contacting my credit card to get back the money for the substrate I did not receive. Stay away from HDS, there are many other options out there--use those.
UPDATE: HDS eventually came thru with a nice "care package" to accommodate their mistake-it was quite generous. E-mail response is slow, though and I couldn't find any telephone number to call.
If I could put a zero star rating I would. I have purchased spores from this company and received nothing....That’s right.. they took my money and sent no product..... I’ve called sent emails with no luck... DO NOT BUY FROM HERE THEY WILL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY...!!!
