Dreadful Recommendation from HLD
First contact with HLD was excellent but they connected me wirh a hopeless Conveyancer who failed throughout the process and HLD were unable to help in my complaints process after completion.
I cannot believe that they retained the company on their lists.

We are sorry you were not happy with your appointed conveyancing firm. Your transaction took 23 weeks to complete, which we appreciate is slightly over the average timescale we provide of 12 - 20 weeks, but this did encompass the firm's closure for Christmas and the property was leasehold which can take longer to complete due to the additional parties and works involved.
You raised a complaint with us as you felt there were periods during the process with the firm where nothing happened, or there were delays in documents being passed between the acting parties. We appreciate your frustration, but as we do not have access to the firm's systems or your communication with them, we are unable to fairly resolve a complaint of this nature so we directed you to them to lodge the complaint.
We hold service level agreements with all the firms in our network. We take all feedback seriously and whether firms remain in our network is dependent on the experiences our clients receive. Whilst your particular experience with this firm did not meet your expectations, we have significantly more positive feedback than complaints about their service.

Good price and great advice
After getting a quote for a solicitor/conveyancer, I was contacted by Warren, As it has been a long time since I have purchaseed a property, Warren has talked me through the process and gave some excellent advice. Got a quote sent from the estate agent the house is up for sale with but the quote I got through Home Legal Direct was much cheaper, almost 500 pound cheaper.
