Avoid with all costs

This company is money orientated as long as they are robbing money from you they are happy, ask for help or cancel subscription as I cannot do it online as my email is seemingly invalid but it's funny that they can send their jargon to it. I would advise anyone to go elsewhere where for a box as there are many other companies to choose from. This company has poor customer service, actually they don't want to assist with anything apart from apologising, I've heard enough apologies just get my issues sorted. Avoid, avoid avoid, don't give your hard earned cash to cowboys.

Please ensure that you are logging in via our UK website, if you are a UK customer, our UK website is hooksneedles.co.uk, as your account is registered there.

We have also looked into this for you and can confirm that your subscription has already been fully canceled. There will be no future charges or further boxes sent to you.

As a gesture of goodwill, we have also gone ahead and issued a full refund for your April box. Please allow some time for the refund to reflect in your account.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience and the frustration this situation has caused.

I recently signed up for the knitting…

I recently signed up for the knitting only box and was excited to receive my first order.

On signing up I was also to receive a free welcome pack of digital content which included some free patterns. In receipt of the email I quickly looked at all the new patterns I received only to be a little disappointed that they were all crochet patterns and I can't crochet. There were a few other items to read with the downloads which are fine.

My box arrived and the patterns, wool and magazine are all fab and can't wait to get started on something new.

Please could I ask Hooks and Needles to rethink the freebie sent out to be based on what the individual has signed up for... Knitting, crochet or both to make the experience 5 Star

I love the kits because you do get all…

I love the kits because you do get all the things you need to make any of the patterns that are included with the kit. my issue was that I will get the same kits. meaning if I got a kit that has a patten the make a plant holder. I will get that same kit two months later. I got a kit one month and the kit you can make small bunny. got that same kit again two months later. I called the company to explain that they are sending me the same kits again and that I would like my money back or send me a different kit. I have been back and forth with this company on getting a different kit for at least three month and got no resolution with them. I have not gotten my money back nor have I gotten different kits. So, I canceled my subscription and long will I do business with them ever again. I ready like the product but no one to help in situations like this.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re so sorry for the frustration you experienced with receiving duplicate kits and for the delays in our support responses. We completely understand how disappointing this must have been.

After reviewing your account, we found that the duplicates were due to two active subscriptions on your account, one started on April 11, 2024, and another on October 26, 2024. Because of this, each month you were receiving two boxes, and any new subscription starts from Box 1, which is why you were seeing repeated kits. We sincerely apologize that our support team wasn’t able to resolve this for you in a timely manner.

Since May 2025, we’ve made significant improvements to our processes and support to prevent situations like this. We would really love to have you back as a customer. If you’d like to return, please email us, and we’ll apply 40% off your next box. We’ll also make sure you have only one active subscription and that it continues from where you left off, so no more duplicate boxes.

We truly appreciate your feedback and hope we can make your experience with us a positive one.

Late or missing orders

Late or missing orders, too much time taken to reply ro emails about product not being delivered (one week to respond)
And then when i asked to unsubscribe I was given a different response. I then unsubscribed myself, only to continue to receive emails. Shocking service and not particularly good vfm either, was a gift too, so just not good

Ordered a subscription box a month ago…

Ordered a subscription box a month ago & still not received. Called customer service number to be told to have not patience! I waited & called 11 times since to get put on hold & then an automated message saying call back later!!

Ordered the yarn of the month

Ordered the yarn of the month, as a Christmas present for my mother. Was very underwhelming when it arrived. Just three balls of yarn in an oversized box. No packaging , No catalog, very disappointing for a first time purchase. Giving it another month to see how it goes. Getting emails saying second purchase comes with extras.

Not worth the money

I’m actually an experienced crocheter

I’m actually an experienced crocheter, a certified teacher even. My husband got this subscription for me for Christmas and I’m getting a big kick out of it. The contents of the box were great quality, the yarn was so soft and delightful and the patterns were perfect for a new crocheter and fun for this old one to play with. I’m really looking forward to future boxes!

Just to clarify: each issue of our project magazine includes a note on how many full projects you’ll be able to complete with the yarn provided. In most boxes, we offer bonus patterns so you can choose what to make - but there’s typically only enough yarn for one of the featured projects, not all of them.

We’ll make sure this is even clearer moving forward. And if you’re ever unsure, our team’s always happy to help!

Yarn is so very very soft

Yarn is so very very soft. The projects don’t match the yarn weight and hooks recommended. I’ve made adjustments and will proceed with alternate projects. The yarn colors are awesome, I look forward to the next box. Thank you

Disappointing to say the least

Disappointing to say the least. Got two crochet hooks, both the same size, that’s helpful. The pattern and yarn were their spring release, I believe it is now fall. Not worth the money.

Its just such a well thought out box!

Its just such a well thought out box. I learned to crochet as a child, so its nit new to me, but the videos were super helpful as sometimes I can get confused reading the directions. And the free gift is adorable. Looking forward to my next box!
