I bought an old 1968 Certina a few months ago which was stunning, in beautiful condition. I guess it was probably "new, old stock" so had never been used before. It had a lovely Italian leather strap that really set it off too. Anyway, after a couple of months it started to "slip" by about 5 minutes every now and then. I sent it back and Tom very kindly fixed it with new parts and returned it to me. The service from start to finish was great, with regular emails explaining the faults, parts ordered and so on. The watch is now back and even better than before. It's also the most accurate mechanical watch I've ever owned. All in all, I'm really impressed with the care and good service from Tom and the team at Hoxton Watches. I'll probably buy another watch from them soon as they seem to have some lovely items
I found Tom through one of his ads. I had an old watch that used to belong to my grandad that I had been trying to get fixed for years and had had bad experiences with other places.
My experience with Tom was incredible. At the outset he talked through what he thought was wrong with it. He took photos and shared them - keeping me informed as to what needed to be fixed, how much it would cost, and what he recommended given the scarcity of finding certain parts. In the end he also provided a new strap, free of charge.
