I would give a zero if I could. A friend of mine who was selling her car on Auto Trader got a message from a woman, claiming she wants to purchase the car, and to do a check using this website and was... Voir plus

Fraud
Fraud. Called Jay on my advert on autotrader asked for the HPI report. Once I have sent him one he said he did not trust the site I used and demanded I use HPIfinder.com, which is scam
A proper con
A proper con, avoid and hang up when kevin asks for you to purchase a HPI check
Avoid this site
Ditto, this time Kevin strikes again! This Indian accented man couldn’t pronounce Carlisle properly even though he claimed to live in Cumbria. He wanted to purchase my two door convertible for his pregnant wife! He got quite terse with me when I said that I would not pay for an HPI Check. I thought it was a scam but was curious as to where the conversation and fraud was going. I decided that it was better to hang up.

The famous Frank strikes again! It was quite clear from the call it was a phishing scam. So have not used the website, and do not intend to..Scum of the earth

SCAM!!!
Luckily, I am quite a vigilant person when it comes to scams. Had a call from an Indian guy named Kevin. He told me to go onto HPIFinder.com to do a HPI check. I said I am work and I will do it later, after a small search I found this website. My instincts were right, he had WhatsApped me and I replied I wasn’t obliged to provide a HPI report and then he asked for my vehicle registration, of course not going to give that information. After saying I will do the HPI check myself through Autotrader and will supply that once he has viewed the car, miraculously I have not had a response. This will be a blocked number and reported through the right channels
This website is fraudulent
This website is fraudulent, it only wants to acquire your card details and same experience as everyone else add on autotrader then contact from someone in india called Kevin. That was there first mistake as knew it was dodgy.
Scam!
Scam!! Called the day after I listed my car on auto trader car and argued that I should pay for a hpi check through this site sent multiple what’s app messages pressuring me. When I supplied a hpi check from auto trader I did not get a response. Avoid avoid

Totally Spam website. Someone calls requesting the HPI check through their own website only and won’t take another option. Payment goes to Pakistan and it will not give you any report. Scam stay safe
HPIFinder and Frank the scammer
DO NOT USE! Posted my car on Auto trader, within the first 10 mins I get a missed call from Frank, after a few back and forths of missed calls I finally speak to Frank. Frank asks the usual typical questions about the car and then asks if I've got a HPI report, I say I have and Frank asks me to email it, which I do, Frank tries claiming this isn't a full report (it is) and tries claiming the reports saying there's finance on the car (there isn't) and Frank then asks me to use the HPIfinder website and do the basic HPI check (£20) on the car and he will reimburse me the £20. I share that I'm not willing to do another check on the car as I have already done one. Please avoid as this is an obvious scam!
HPIfinder.com scam artists.
I advertised a vehicle for sale on Autotrader, within an hour I got a call from a potential buyer who made an appointment to come and see the vehicle. He requested I get an HPI check that he would refund when he bought the vehicle if all was OK. I sent him an HPI check. Next I get told, “no follow the link I’ve sent you, I need it done by this company”. When I checked the company HPIfinder.com & go on their chat service, a man called “Franklin Martins” answers the chat, the man who’s emailed the link & wants to buy my truck “Franklin Martins”. Just another scam outfit, this one following ads for car sales & then trying to sell their own product posing as a buyer that never turns up. When I confronted him his response “there must be more than one Frank Martins in the world”.
Steer clear people
Spam website
Spam website. Someone calls requesting the HPI check through the company and won’t take another option. Payment goes to Pakistan. Scam.
BEWARE
BEWARE, This is a scam. Someone will phone you pretending to be a buyer that has seen your car on auto trader and ask you to pay for a HPI check on this website but really the money goes to them and it's a worthless report. AND it's the buyer who's supposed to buy the HPI, BEWARE OF SCAMS LIKE THESE, ALSO THE CALLER SOUNDED INDIAN, THAT'S A DEAD GIVEAWAY TOO.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. People pretending to be potential buyers on AutoTrader are pushing sellers to use this site, which is not legitimate. It’s a scam.
