I contacted HSB to quote for the install of a Sigenstor 27KWh home battery. Quite quickly, I received contact from Lee who sent over a detailed summary of costings and savings, as per the specification I needed.

Having reviewed a number of quotes I selected HSB as they were the most competitive but I was also reassured by testimonials I had read only. As cost isn't everything!

Shortly after, Lee came out, surveyed and we agreed a plan for the install along with a provisional install date. Worth adding that Lee managed to complete the paperwork and delivery a week earlier than planned, which I was delighted with.

On the day, the guys were great. Very friendly and informative. They even managed to pass cables within the stud wall to prevent damage to the plaster (even though we were already planning for a repair).

After install was complete, they did all the product registration, setup the app for me and showed me how to configure it for our needs. Before they left, they cleared up everything behind them, leaving my home, exactly as they found it.

This was the second time I have contracted Lee from HSB to install things. The first time was a 16kWh Sigen battery and gateway to provide emergency cover during power cuts. The second time was to move said battery, adding another 9kWh module and install 7.3kw of solar. On both occasions Josh and his apprentice performed the work, this time the apprentice being Gareth. The quotes were fair, and all the work was carried out with care for my property and true professionalism. I will use them again and can recommend them to anyone.

I used hsb energy because the were local . From my very first dealing with the company I was very impressed. They fitted 16 panels, 9.5 kw battery and 5kw inverter. All communication with Lee the boss was great. His advice was greatly received. The fitting team were fantastic. They worked hard, answered my questions. They were neat and tidy whilst paying close attention to detail. Any phone call to the company was answered promptly with a happy feel. We had our 4kw PV system installed 12 years ago and decided that it was time to consider a battery storage system, we contacted two accredited companies and HSB Renewable Energy Company gave an immediate response with a written quote and a home survey.
We wanted to locate the battery outside our house under a canopy and we didn’t want to lose our FIT payment. Following the survey and Lee’s clear explanation, we were confident that HSB Renewable Energy Company would be able to meet our needs.
On the day of the installation Josh and Joe arrived at the agreed time, Josh, the electrician, discussed the installation and we were all very clear as to where the battery and inverter would be situated, how the cables would be routed and where the consumer unit would be located. They were considerate and tidy workers.
The battery was commissioned and the app was explained to us. I received an email with the Building Compliance Certificate before they left.
Throughout the whole process everything was handled professionally, proficiently and met our requirements.
Two weeks later: All is working well. When our solar panels make more energy than our home requires the excess solar charges up the battery. We are on economy seven so during these darker, shorter winter days we charge our 9.5 kw battery up at night on cheaper rate electricity and access the cheaper energy from the battery during the day.
We have no hesitation in recommending this company.

HSB installed an 8kw array, 5.5kw inverter and 8kwh battery at a competitive price.

Installation was excellent, roof very tidy, cabling was v tidy and any mess generated was cleaned up straight away.
Also they worked well with other contractors on site at the time.
