Frustrating customer service

Ordered sneakers 1.2.26. Shipped quickly, but soon became evident item lost in transit as never arrived. Neither local Post Office or Hype can locate shoes currently. Now 2 weeks later i have no shoes. Customer service is extremely lacking. Emailed Hype 11.2.26 with their promise of reply 1-2 business days. No reply by 15.2.26. Raised issue with online customer chat 15.2.26. Now I might hear back in 2-3 business days once they lodge a review. But based on earlier in the week I do not have trust in this occurring. No empathy for situation of customer. Likely inadequate training for very young customer service workers in the need for this. Honestly, the company would do better sending a replacement pair of sneakers and sorting out the logistics of undelivered item internally - it's $75 and not worth the negative review and fact I will now advise all friends never to buy from the site. Infuriating.

FALSE ADVERTISING

Ordered a pair of puma mostro online only to have my order cancelled because they claim they didn’t have stock yet that size men’s 10 is still available to purchase online. Will never order from them again save your time and money shop somewhere else where your order will get fulfilled. FALSE ADVERTISING.

Customer service is appalling!

I called the Karrinyup store at 8:58am as this store is notoriously shocking for not answering their phones.

I called regarding a product. I was told to call back at 9am when the computer would be 'on' and available for my query.

I called back at 9:10am and have been trying to speak to someone about my query for the last hour.

My call was picked up on one occasion (Ive called numerous times) only to be left unanswered and then hung up on.

I don't live close to this shopping centre, so to save myself time and petrol, I have attempted to call.

This is beyond ridiculous, time consuming and shows very little care and concern for us customers who spend our money in the store.

CS is a nightmare!!

Custome service is a nightmare to get hold of, and then once you do, they are totally incapable to see reason. I will never ever buy from them again. Buyers beware!!!

Mixed experience - good products, poor follow-through on support

The online shopping experience with Hype DC was smooth and the shoes I ordered arrived as expected. However, I had issues with their customer support when I requested a tax receipt.

Initially, support told me the email invoice would be sufficient, but when I explained I needed an official tax receipt, they promised to email it within 2 hours. Unfortunately, they never followed through and I never received the receipt despite the promise. This kind of poor follow-through wastes customers' time and is easily avoidable - most companies would either send the receipt immediately or be upfront about not being able to provide one.

The product quality and ordering process were fine, but the unreliable customer service support brings down the overall experience. They need to improve on keeping their commitments to customers.

Sent the wrong shoes twice!

I ordered a pair of converse and they sent me the wrong size to what I ordered. I thought it to not be that big of a deal but when I ordered them again, the same thing happened! I was sent the wrong size shoes to what I had ordered even though I had been in contact with Sean from customer service. I do not understand how this happens twice? I am now down a pair of shoes, $30 in shipping, and the shoes I wanted have gone out of stock in my size. Pretty unbelievable. After talking to customer service again for the second time, he assured me he would refund me for one set of shipping costs (although was reluctant to do so). I have just received my refund which DID NOT include the shipping costs. Very bad service, I don't understand how this can happen twice and they do basically nothing to help.

worst company ever

first i ordered two pairs of shoes they did not send one pair of the shoes then took 5 days to fix it then when the pair did arrive one of the shoes has blemishes from being a display model the white on nike damaged the bottom of shoe dirty and definitely not brand new shoes then they cant even replace them and now expect me to post back to receive refund i payed for brand new shoes not second hand and you have a duty to for fill the original purchase request you took money for!!! do not use hype to buy anything! i have 10000 plus followers i will be sharing this with!!!

Wrong shoes size

They sent me the shoes in the wrong size and don't accept return because it was on sale (?????) even if it was their mistake. It makes no sense to me. I've tried to solve the problem with the customer service 3x in the live chat and they say the same, I can't return it and have to exchange it in store, but I also went to the Carindale store, they don't have the right size in stock and don't want to refund me.

Newmarket store manger had the WORST attiuate

DO NOT SHOP AT NEWMARKET STORE

Glad to see I’m not the only one who had issues with the female manager (pretty sure she was Māori?) at Hype Newmarket.

She said she took photos of my faulty shoes and passed them on. Before I left, I asked to see the photos—surprise surprise, she claimed her phone had died. Then she asked for the shoes again. When I pushed back, she said she didn’t like my attitude and told me to leave the store. Seriously?

Absolutely disgraceful and disgusting way to treat a customer.

Commerce Commission needs to step in for a thorough investigation.

Zero stars

Zero stars. I placed an order with Hype 3 weeks ago, but have yet to receive one pair of my shoes. Despite multiple attempts to contact customer service, I have received no follow up response, and my request for a refund remains unaddressed.
This lack of communication and failure to fulfill basic customer service obligations is deeply frustrating and reflects poorly on the company. I would strongly advise against purchasing from Hype, as there are many other retailers that provide reliable service and honor their commitments.

I recently purchased a pair of the hype shoes and these shoes was not what I expected, bad quality no support at all I am very disappointed with this footwear this is one of the worst shoes I have had, so people please don’t waste your money this are terrible 😢

I bought 6 pairs of Hype socks last…

I bought 6 pairs of Hype socks last weekend and the product is rubbish.
Quality is rock bottom and the fit, invisible socks, is appalling. The heel slipped off my foot almost immediately. Poor design and poor quality.
My advice to you...is don't buy this Chinese crap.

Hype Online customer services tried to apologise for the appalling customer service (at their Lower Hutt store) my daughter received, by giving her 2O% off her next online purchase. Sadly, this was doomed and ineffective as both discount codes we were sent did not work even after being resent and me saying there was an issue I was just sent to a generic part of their website - thanks but no thanks Hype you are not worth our custom. Just a hassle!

Wrong Item

Hype has sent me the wrong item and refused to send me another one. It started off on the wrong foot with Lihle not being able to see that my order number was the subject line to Lihle being unable to read my order correctly. The shoe I wanted was sent to me in another colour and gender. Lihle told me that if I wanted the colour I originally purchased I would have to pay the extra cost as it was not on sale and that I would have to pay for shipping. I had to send screen shots of my order with the shoe that was wrong underlined. After some back and forth Lihle offered me a 20% off full price as an apology but this still wouldn't help me as refunding the order and then ordering a new one would mean I would have to pay for shipping. Also the item I wanted was on sale. I had asked for a different customer service representative but Lihle would continue to send me the same copy and paste return policy and not addressing any of my concerns. After reading some of the reviews here I don't think I am going to do an exchange as this company seems incompetent. Even though this problem I am having is completely their fault they are making me jump through hoops so that I might be able to get the right shoe I ordered in the first place. I have had enough of this and am just going to have to keep this shoe in the wrong colour and gender.
