Mark I do appreciate you at least admitting it happened and that I was not in the wrong. Sometimes it better to have things out in the open and not try to sweep them under the carpet as if they didn't exist.

You have invited all reviews, i hope you are prepared for a bluntly honest one.
I came to ICQ, maybe a year ago, because friends had moved here to chat. I still come to chat with those friends, and have made new friends also.
However, the channel has been controlled by a clique of chatters who are racist, controlling, malicious and manipulative. And who seemingly enjoy the protection of certain Chanops and Icorps.
I have approached ops about behaviours in the channel, to have one particular op tell me she 'must have blinked', so the racist comments continued.
I have submitted tickets to ICorps, to have concerns of racism and bullying disregarded, and therefore those behaviours have continued.
I have also had one ICorp subject me to harassment and an invasion of my privacy.
Chatters who have become so frustrated at the bullying and harassment, and the lack of positive action from Admin, have been banned for for voicing their frustrations.
Good chatters, friendly, sociable, companionable people, have left because the racism and bullying has been condoned by Admin and particular Ops.
Chatters have been banned while they are not online, without any advice as to why they are banned, or the duration of the ban.
Many chatters are not prepared to speak out, or lodge tickets, because they have seen what happens to those who do, the victimization and harassment that ensues.
It would seem logical that an international room does NOT tolerate racism in any form, and also, to create a harmonious environment, that bullying and harassment are acknowledged and appropriate action taken to eliminate them.
The room should be moderated with fairness and without favouritism. I have been told many times there is no favouritism, well, the truth is, there certainly is... and it is well observed by all chatters in the room, It is no use to spruik at chatters about the Terms of Use, when those same rules are disregarded by some ops, and dispensed with bias.
I have been told by several members of the clique to 'f off' out of the site on several occasions, For this reason, I have declined to leave, i dont comply with bullies.

Super Chatraum um sich zu unterhalten und mit den verschiedenen Leuten in Kontakt zu kommen. Könnte natürlich etwas mehr "Frisches Blut" vertragen. Ansonsten eigentlich alles ganz entspannt soweit, bisher keine großartigen Beschwerden oder Probleme mitbekommen.

I have been going to ICQ-Chat for some time now and have always enjoyed my chats there.. Ive gotten to know so many of the chatters that have become friends and its always nice to see them greet you when you enter the chatroom. Lately we have been more into joining #Radio also which has really added more life and fun to chatting and feel your partying each night with the freedom of fun and song requests etc which is such a great idea of having it there to go to if you desire to. Well done to all involved other than the minor upsets I highly recommend ICQ to anyone that would like to fill in their evenings. I chat there as ^_CHRISSY

It may take time to get used to the other chatters at the beginning, but most chatters are friendly once you take time to get to know them and become a part of the chat. I just joined a few weeks ago and I'm loving it as it has a lot of entertainment with the chatters plus a lot of new people you get to meet. It's kept well under control, and their Help desk is the best, they're fast to respond and resolve any issue you have. so thank you and keep up the good work!:)

they are banning people for fun. moderators are protecting their favourite chatters. they feed trolls and racism. they can own website but not the chatters. unfortunately majority of the users are old aged people which dont have life or aim in life.. they dont welcome users with different ideas or different way of chatting. moderators are controlling each words chatters use. if they dont like, they ban the chatter for fun. even moderators are insulting chatters. they are not fair.

I have chatted on ICQ for some time now and for the most part have enjoyed my experience, that is until a recent event that has left me no longer wishing to be part of the ICQ experience. It was not so much the fault of the site except for the amount of control given to the owners or moderators of a room. I was unjustly accused of "breaking the rules" and banned from the room with zero investigation. It was later rescinded but left such a bad taste that i no longer visit that chat or ICQ period.

Meine Meinung bisher hin alles auf professionelle Weise aufgebaut und auch alles fair und das auf andere auf ihr Problem was Chat betrifft auch darauf eingegangen wird aber was meiner Meinung fehlt das es im sozialen Bereich auch besser aufgebaut sein müsste um die Marke noch besser und professioneller präsentieren zu können.

für mich ist die 5 sterne wert das sich die ircop ernsthaft um das netz bemühen der umgang der user in grossen teilen als angenehm zu bezeichnen ist

Good IRC-Chat, Support is okay ;).... i wish sometimes the Team was into the Channel, but i can understand the Problem... now i find i is okay for that.

Ein Server zum Wohlfühlen. Allerdings würde ich mir wünschen das, zumindest im #Germany, dem deutschen Hauptchat, zu den Hauptzeiten ein OP anwesend ist, denn ohne wird es recht eindeutig bei etlichen Usern. Mir ist auch klar das die OP's dieses in ihrer Freizeit machen und somit nicht immer da sein können.
Ansonsten ist die Erreichbarkeit vom ICQ-IRC Team bei Beschwerden gut.

I am really happy on this chat, there nice ppl and almost no trolls its a good atmosphere and i have met several very good friends.
So go on and keep this a place for a happy chat and to make friends

I have been chatting the room for a while. I find that most of the chatters are friendly and easy to get along with. They make me feel welcome and I have fun in there. Would recommend if you want to have some laughs.

Like any social club, there will be coming and goings and one needs settle into the conversation when chatting. Imagine all the different people, their needs plus your needs, mind boggling that we get along as well as we do *smiles*. We are a world wide family and attachments are made. Great, enjoy it and one of the best places where trolls are actually very few, IRCops action stuff fast and IRCop coverage is really good at almost 24/7.

A nice friendly server to pass some good time with people all over the world
Moderators same as opers are cooperative and they look very helpful , No power abuse , instead , they are trying their best to mantain the good ambiance .

Auf Grund anfänglicher schleppender Sanktionierung gegenüber Usern mit eindeutigen/zweideutigen (sexuellen) Absichten, hat sich ein doch recht freizügiges, ja gar sexistisches Klima in diversen Channels etabliert. Besonders User mit ZWEIdeutigen Namen und Inhalten dürfen auf Grund der vermeindlich fehlenden Eindeutigkeit in den Channels des Netzwerkes verbleiben.

Auch wenn die Strukturen bezüglich IRCops und Sanktionierung innerhalb des Netzwerkes weiterhin relativ starr sind, so sind erste Verbesserungen zu einem "sauberen Netzwerk" erkennbar und sollten von allen anständigen und ordentlichen Usern unterstützt werden. Auch bei zweideutigen Usern und Inhalten hilft meistens das Bauchgefühl bzw das Ausgehen vom "worst case". Zu über 95% liegt man damit auch richtig.
