The best technical support out there

We have used ICUK for web hosting for around 12 years. We initially used them for dedicated server hosting and have recently switched to VPS hosting. I have used a few different hosting companies over the years and can honestly say ICUK are the best I've used. What sets them apart isn't things like the products they offer or lack of downtime, etc. (although they offer everything we need) - rather it is they incredible level of service. No call centres, no anonymous technical support emails - you can immediately speak to high level technical experts who don't let any issue drop until they have solved it for you - regardless of time. Over the years we have had various items crop up, some of which required emergency solutions - and ICUK have never disappointed us, which is why we would never move.

Excellent hosting and superb customer suupport.

I have been using ICUK's hosting products for 15+ years and would highly recommend them. The control panel is straightforward to use and makes managing large numbers of hosting accounts very easy. The customer support is second to none, nothing is too much trouble for them and they are all highly competent.

Just brilliant…

I have been a reseller for ICUK web hosting services for over 20 years. The service has been excellent over that time. I have around 150 websites hosted with them and I would not go anywhere else.

I have been reminded this morning just how brilliant ICUK are - not actually of something they have done, but after being on a support call chat with GoDaddy for over 2 hours without getting a resolution to a problem!! (A client's choice of registrar - not mine!)

This just would not happen with ICUK. The support team are quick to respond to any queries, general questions or problems. They always go above and beyond to help with any more technical queries and their hardware is kept up to date and every one of their support team know what they are talking about!!

Thank you guys - you are very much appreciated!

10/10 - Genuinely cannot fault the service received

Cannot possibly recommend these guys enough.... All I can say is I wish we found them 10 years ago!!

We used to resell Zen connections as a 'partner' but didn't feel like much of one.. Dabbled with Gamma, VoiceHost and some others but their ordering process was either convoluted or nowhere near transparent enough and we were still raising tickets or having to contact third parties just to do something as simple as running a broadband diagnostic check.

We were looking for a more hands-on approach and ICUK offered us the exact level of control & involvement in the entire process from the get-go, with wholesale pricing that meant we could actually make some decent margin as a wholesaler instead of pennies to the pound with previous 'partner' based solutions.

Their control panel is a beauty to behold and is an absolute delight from anything I've ever seen before (And I've seen a lot!) - with new features implemented fairly regularly. More importantly, on the rare occasion we DO need to speak to their support or provisioning team, the call is always answered promptly, by someone who actually knows what they're talking about and has always ended in a positive resolution. The fact I can provision a new service, see Openreach notes throughout the whole process allows us to relay bang up-to-date information to clients and leaves no nasty surprises. We've long since migrated our entire leased-line and broadband portfolio across to ICUK and haven't looked back since. The one thing they didn't do when we first joined was SIP trunking and VoIP, but now it's in the portfolio we're well on-board with that too :-)

A breath of fresh air.

I originally posted this under cix.uk but that doesn't seem to have been 'adopted'. And ICUK is the parent company of CIX so;

I took the unexpected opportunity to get out of my BT Business contract without penalty (thank you merciful heavens!) by contacting three companies detailing the service I was interested in. CIX was the only one to respond.

They matched exactly what I wanted and have been helpful and supportive throughout the ordering and configuration. This is already a world away from my previous experience.

I always get a prompt response.
The person knows what they are talking about.
They're very helpful with any details or queries.

Fourteen days from my initial contact to a clean switch over to their service.

Recommended.

Outstanding Service

I have been working with ICUK for a couple of years and can honestly say that not only are their prices compelling but the service is outstanding from sales support through to provisioning the ICUK team deliver quality communication and customer care.

Best company out there

I have been with this company for many years now and they have without question been the most consistent broadband provider I have ever had. In the 2 occasions I have called due to issues their team was extremely helpful in resolving these. I would have no qualms in recommending them.

Good Service Provider Gone Bad

Unfortunately their poor service has got worse over the last year. There have been so many times where I've lost internet access which has caused me nothing but stress and bother when working from home. The support from ICUK has also been awful where they have not shown any support and only sent me a PDF document to trouble shoot.

Their service also seems to go down on weekends or out of hours which means you can't get any support by phone and can only email them which often takes some time for a response.

If you're an individual customer and not part of a business I'd be aware as it seems the bandwidth and the contract they have with BT may impact you as whenever there is an issue they always advise you to get a BT engineer out where you could be charged £150 if the fault is from your side.

The support team used to have some good engineers who would walk you through any issues over the phone and reassure you in getting back on line but recently engineers don't get involved and the support team are clueless individuals who do not want to help you and are quick to blame your equipment in the first instance.

To be honest if they openly admitted there was trouble from their side and apologised I can live with that and wouldn't be leaving this review.

Please be aware before signing up with this provider.

We're really disappointed and a little confused by this review. You have a reseller account with us, but have NOT purchased any facilities from us that qualifies you to make the comments you have. I will however, for public clarity, reply to each point:

- We never send PDF files for support. Most faults are handled as tickets and each is personally replied to without templates. Our help files do contain guides explaining what to look for.

- Whilst we currently don't offer weekend phone support, over the past 20 years of business this has never been a major issue for our resellers, who are predominants business weekday focused. Emails and fault tickets do get answered late into the night and over weekends. For services where SLAs are provided phone support is available from our own staff 24/7.

- The engineer call out charge is only applicable to faults where the cause is within the customer's control. For example, the dog chewed a cable, or faulty customer equipment. The vast majority of faults never see a charge because we try and diagnose and remedy using an engineer as last resort. The charge originates from Openreach and would be applicable to all ISP.

- The support team have not changed in years. There is no change to who you deal with, or how they operate. They are all willing and able to go into depth with you on any fault or query over the phone or email. We can happily look into instances where you feel that the support received was not to your satisfaction. I must reiterate that you have no live services with us, which makes these comments unqualified.

Sorry that we have not met your expectations. We are more than happy to arrange a call with head of our support team or Directors to discuss your points further.

Saved my bacon!

I have been using ICUK to host my clients and my own website for many years now and have found them to be so helpful. It is so good to be able to talk to a professional English speaking person - in person! None of this faceless bot business, so I can get help and sort any problems out quickly. Today I had a hacking issue, they were on the case helping right away and the site is now back up and running with a few more firewalls in place! Thank you to ICUK for such good service.

12 Years Experience with ICUK

After being with ICUK for 12 years, it's about time I gave them a review.

Paul & Leslie have never let me down, very professional and inovative. their platform has evolved over the years to be the best in the business.

Their services are rock solid & reliable, support is always responsive.

If you are looking for a reliable telecoms partner they won't dissapoint you.

I have experienced bad and terrible so called "Telecoms" suppliers so I know what others do. ICUK should be the standard for all suppliers and learn a big lesson from them in how to provide real service in this industry.

Keep up the great work ICUK, and all the best for the future.

I'm only making use of a handful of reseller features but really enjoy using your platform and partnering with ICUK, you make me very efficient in front of my customers.

I've had several web sites hosted…

I've had several web sites hosted through ICUK almost since the company began. The key for me is that ICUK is very responsive on the rare occasions that there is a problem with a site.

On several occasions they've gone over and above what one might expect in order to resolve issues that I've encountered, and they've done it promptly and cheerfully.

I'm very happy to recommend them as a top-rate company for site hosting and telecoms services.

Excellent people with a great control panel and service

We joined ICUK a few years ago to become a Telecoms/Broadband reseller. Their pricing is very reasonable to get signed up and their wholesale pricing makes it incredibly accessible to begin selling a white-label service of your own.

ICUK have a fantastic bunch of staff right from their front line people to their Networks team and Sales team. You can raise a request with them anytime during the day and they will usually respond within minutes. They're helpful, patient, keen to assist you in getting the best from their service and keen to help you in understanding the industry and making the best of your business.

I have to remind myself that ICUK can have it rough when being the middle-man between us as their customer and their supplier ultimately providing us and them with services. It must be said that I don't always give them enough credit in this area but it certainly is due and I commend them for their patience, willingness to help and skills when it comes to dealing with their suppliers and their customers. I have learnt a lot from them personally since we signed-up and try to remember that I always have more to learn. Not only about the industry but the way in which they deal with the behemoths that are Openreach, TalkTalk Business and BT Wholesale.

We have moved from their white-label service to their layer 2 and L2TP handover services recently and their helpfulness during this setup period has been appreciated more than can be said in this review. I highly recommend them and the service they provide. This review is long overdue.

A fantastic combination of services. Even better support.

We have been with ICUK for 7 years now, and as we have grown as a business, ICUK's wide offering of services have underpinned our own delivery to our clients. We started as just a webhost, but have now taken on telecoms, broadband, dedicated servers, domain names and more using the convenience of just one clever and always improving platform.

The most important aspect of choosing ICUK, however, is their highly knowledgeable and experienced support team. Their responsiveness is always excellent, and I'm always amazed at their ability to resolve highly technical issues in a short space of time. They know their stuff, and it shows. We know we're in safe hands, and we trust them to look after our clients' services implicitly.

if you value your customers ICUK are the only company to trust

I have lost count over the years how many companies we have tried for hosting. As a company we have tried most of the brands (for cost reasons) including Fasthosts, 123 Reg & Heart (never again).

ICUK may not be the cheapest of the hosting re-seller offerings but if you value your customers ICUK are the only company I would trust. That said we do only use the hosting element, but for the price we pay we get access to many more wholesale services.

Any issues you have are truly managed and dealt with, not like other companies.If you have the need to call/email them then it will not be long before you know them all by name, including directors.

A fantastic company/team and I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

Have been with ICUK for a number of years as a host I try ideas out on. They are not the cheapest, but I really value the fact that you can get a human being on the other end of the line when you need to. something that is increasingly difficult in this space
