Never once have i found a price on their website that was close to the price that they showed me in an advert.

Rubbish in my opinion.
So many times I’ve rushed to look at an item these people are advertising lower than anyone else, only to find it’s a con (my opinion) and the lowest price one is a different product. This earns Idealo a commission in some cases. I need to suss how to block them completely.

It's really important to us that we offer the best prices for everything you are searching for. We do this with shop feeds from our partner shops, and occasionally the system makes a mistake and an incorrect offer gets assigned to a product.
We have a team of people who work on this to make sure the prices we show are as accurate as possible, but with millions of offers online, you can imagine it's a bit of a challenge!
If you ever spot something that isn't right, please do consider using the "report a problem" button on the offers list, then one of our dedicated team can set about putting it right for other users.
Hopefully we have shed a little light onto why this happens, and reassured you that we really care about finding you the best price, and one that is up to date too.

When you go to their website it says Vector Anki ROBOT £22.37 which my son thought is it's real price and hence drove me crazy to buy it for him! In fact, this robot's price is around £300 and the price was for the CASE for the robot! Now I have to argue with a cross child and to try to explain to him that there are these clickbait sites that are lying for everything just to get their clicks!

Inaccurate advertising
I am in the market for several products and often see ads from Idealo whilst browsing webpages. The ads suggest that they have sourced these items at a very reasonable price, but when you click through to their website this is never the case. The actual lowest price is far higher than the price listed on the advertisement.
Companies should be held responsible for this kind of shady marketing tactic, hence the poor review.

To explain how the ads you have mentioned worked a little: these are dynamic ads which automatically show the cheapest price for an item.
The feed that these ads runs on is sometimes a little slow to update (we're working on it!) which sometimes means that the price originally shown in the ad has changed when you click through. Sorry about that, we really do always aim to find you hte best price and we promise we aren't trying to do any shady marketing tactics, honest!
If you're able to send us over any examples of problematic prices to mail@idealo.co.uk then we will happily look into them, and we'll be forever grateful to you for helping idealo to help even more consumers save money when they shop online.

Showing incorrect pricing for 3 or 4 days now for the same items
I've been checking Idealo regularly for the last 3 or 4 days to see if there is any movement on the pricing of a drone i'm looking to buy and it's constantly showing an incorrect much lower price that it claims to have checked, both written and using it's graph to indicate recent movement. It's both annoying and misleading and directing traffic towards a site unfairly.
The item i've been looking at is DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo which is showing as £457.50 and
£461.45 incl. delivery, however as soon as I click on the link the price is 549 + £3.95 delivery charge.
Idealo is claiming it's checked the price on each successive day, but i've also been checking the prices regularly each day and never seen the items at this price on these days at any time. Looking at sales history on the item it appears that nobody has purchased at this unbelievable bargain price of a popular item.

Oh no, that's not the kind of price comparison we aim to offer, thank you for flagging it up and let's get that error sorted!
We have a team dedicated to checking that the offers on our site are all up to date and working as they should be, but with around 3.8 million offers live, it's tricky to keep an eye on all of them, so we rely on feeds from our partner shops which are updated every 30 minutes to keep prices showing correctly. Occasionally there is a glitch with these feeds which leads to an incorrect price being shown, but we are working all the time to make sure this doesn't happen!
We're really grateful to idealo users like you who let us know when something isn't working as it should. There is a little button next to the offers that says 'Found an error?' which is the quickest way to let us know something isn't right.
For the product you mentioned, the DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo, we have removed the problematic offer that was showing from eBay.

One of my most used apps!
I am an idealo convert! I used to buy everything on Prime because I always thought it was cheaper but when I started comparing the prices for some of the more expensive things I was buying using this app I was shocked how much you end up overpaying without realising.
I would say I use their app a few times a month now to check prices of things I’m buying, sometimes it’s just a couple of quid cheaper so I don’t bother but I’ve saved probably about £200 in the last 6 months so far using idealo.
Sometimes you get eBay offers that don’t look that good but mostly the prices they show for other shops are accurate.

I tried idealo a couple years ago, when occasionally found it featured on Cosmopolitan. At first, I didn’t think it was the website useful for me. I buy everything on Amazon.
During corona lockdown, I needed something new and exciting. I checked the offers for robot vacuum cleaners on Amazon. It was insane - 250 was the cheapest option I could find. I decided to check on idealo. It showed me that by ordering on another website I could save 50 grands. Whaaaaat?! I took the deal, and now use idealo all the time.

This Works!
I downloaded the Idealo app when I was looking to buy a new TV because the prices seemed to vary so much and I wanted to try out the price alerts. They actually work quite well and I got a notification when the one I wanted dropped to the right price and can't complain cause I actually ended up saving about £40. Have used it for finding deals for other things since and it's quite useful, just sometimes it doesn't have every shop you want to check but the main ones are on there.

Unfortunately you have to give at least 1 star to start but sadly that is vastly overrated. I was looking for a cannon printer and unfortunately looked at the Idealo site. All reasonable priced models were put of stock but since then, for the past 7 weeks my phone has been taken over by their marketing scams. I have tried righting yo them and have attempted many times to unsubscribe but to no avail. These scammers will take over your computing life and there seems to be no way to get rid of them. Can any one please help me.

I used their application to buy a drone. They enlisted the scam website and I lost my money. Be very careful when you use this app. How is it possible to have a website that is a few days old enlisted in your app in the first place, I had full trust and lost my money.

I recently used idealo to look for a tv, I found the model I wanted, Argos were out of stock but there was another firm called WHITSWAREHOUSE, supposedly based in London, it was a scam, I never received the TV, so be careful using the site.

Nice idea in theory!
I found out about Idealo after reading Web User magazine. I use it a lot to compare prices on a range of products. One slight issue occured recently when I tried clicking on to the best priced product, I was unable to complete a purchase! When I went to the sellers website direct, they did not even have that product on sale. Strange?

Was in the Idealo park hotel 10 until…
I was in the Indalo park hotel 10 until 16 may 2019 , this is a great hotel,the rooms were very clean. super food and the staff is very helpful and doing a great job for everybody, indalo team thank you for the great week, this hotel gets a 10+. see you soon I will come back ,to everybody that want to go to this hotel. just book ! Not efficiency, not helpful, and rude
Usually, they took more than 10 days to reply an email, mostly have been ignored and never reply, it took them few months to solve one little issue
The only time they use email is the issue about money, such as remind us to pay the invoice, ask us to increase budget
Their CPC is fixed (Cannot do bid management) and high but not performing good
Avoid using their services!!!
