Ordered building materials
Ordered bricks, blocks, sand, cement and various other items. Ordered it online, picked a day for delivery and all the materials were delivered on time and safely exactly where I wanted it. A simple, easy and efficient service. The delivery driver was very friendly as well.

Excellent and easy to use service at Totnes depot
Excellent and easy to use service using the new click and collect online system. The team at Totnes had my gravel and sand loaded up and ready to go before I even got out of the cab! Many thanks for the fast turnaround.

Shamed for being Exempt from wearing a mask
I am exempt from wearing a face covering due to severe anxiety. I wore my exemption badge clearly and to my amazement the reception team requested I wore a plastic face visor!!! I kindly explained that I have been abroad three times during pandemic and never had an issue with my exemption badge and doctors note. This meant NOTHING to them as it is company policy to wear a visor if no mask worn. I strongly suggest you revise your “policy” as you are in breach of the Equality act 2010 (sections 13 & 25) and are liable to be sued. Shameful that I had to explain why I was exempt. All staff were polite though, but made me ashamed of my condition.

We are sorry you feel as you do and I have spoken to our Exeter Branch Manager who advises me that he offered to give you a face shield but did make an exception and served you without insisting on you wearing a face covering as you were becoming anxious. You appeared to be content with the experience in branch as you gave him the thumbs up as a gesture of thanks when leaving.
We sympathise with you but you must understand that, as a business, we have faced unprecedented challenges and none more so than now with the high number of cases locally. All decisions in respect of Covid taken by management have been deliberated over at length and after some soul searching. I can assure you that is the case with our policy and especially this further directive on face coverings whilst we are in lockdown. We apologise for putting you in this predicament but the protection of our staff and customers is of paramount importance to us and we will not compromise this under any circumstances. For your information we offer a click & collect service, thereby giving an option to avoid such distressing situations.
The face covering measure will remain in place during lockdown but will be reviewed when this finishes. I would add that, to this point, you are the only customer who has made a complaint, indeed we have been complemented on the measures we have taken to ensure the safety of all on our premises by a large number of people, a fact we are proud of.
