I have been using Ironbeam for about a year now after trying a variety of different brokers and I have to say I really do prefer them. Of course not everything is perfect, but there’s a few reasons why I think they are the best. Firstly, not having to pay for data and extra charting tools is a huge plus for me. I think the pure ease of access as well as the 24/7 support where there are basically never any wait times to be able to speak with somebody makes them super reliable. The commissions are competitive, margins are low, and also unlike tradovate your positions don’t just liquidate the minute you’re a little below margin so if you really want to scale an account, iron beam is one of the most solid choices in being able to fully utilize your actual margin and not getting hit with insane $150 fees on liquidation. My current broker manager is very responsive and I’ve never had any issue getting ahold of him. The rates are low, the data is instant and it’s a huge plus to have compatibility with other real time order flow softwares like Sierra Charts.

Ironbeam is a great choice for direct access to the futures markets. I appreciate their straightforward pricing, their ease in onboarding, their reasonable risk parameters (margins requirements) and their customer service. Their trading platform is solid and level 2 is included. Highly recommend giving them a try and growing with them.

stay away from the broker, i only tired them as part of the "Robbins Cup}" word trade competition, i have traded for decades and this is the worse US broker i have ever encountered, they will deny your closes until trades goes in their direction and it is not possible to make any active day trading at all with those guys, quality is basically non existing, all i can say is stay far away from IRONBEAM
The platform is very glitchy and a little bit hard to use. I think the algorithms executes market orders at way lower or higher differences than it really should. Customer service was very quick to respond and very professional so 5 stars on that. My main issue was the platform. Too many bugs and just felt like a not well developed program. They have a lot of work to do.

Amazing support team, rates and fees are competitive and the API connection works great 👍

Great broker and tech offering. Executions are faster than other data feeds, and the API is easy to connect to and stream data/place trades.

Overall, Ironbeam is a great futures brokerage/FCM. Quick account opening process, low day-trading margins, and excellent customer support. Happy to find a home!

I am very disappointed with Ironbeam. Even though the account executive who handles my account is nice, their trading platform is dangerous. I was trading a call option and when I wanted to exit my position, the platform "freezed" and I could not get out of my position. I called my account rep and he said the only way he could get me out of my position was if I gave him the symbol id which is a long number. Obviously, I dd not have this information since I was logged out of my account. I called the trade desk and the person that answered the phone was not helpful. He said I can only close the position if you know what the current premium is. Therefore, nobody could close my position. I was able to log in eventually and close my position as soon as I was able to login even though I closed at a $350 loss. I left money on the table since my call option increased in price but I decided not to wait because I was afraid that the system was going to freeze again. Therefore, this is not a reliable platform and only trade there knowing that the platform can freeze and nobody will be able to close the position for you.
Platform is terrible. Regularly gets overloaded and freezes for 20+ seconds on ES. In fast moving futures markets that will wipe your account out. No it’s not my internet connection - had TradingView simultaneously open and quotes and chart were updating properly in real time.
Emailed videos of this to my assigned a/c manager, and a manager. Hours later my a/c manager simply replies saying contact trading desk - not great. Called their number. Guy says he’s not aware of any issue but they’ll send to developers to analyse. 7 hours later their chart still shows missing bar.
IronBeam talks of its institutional grade tech stack. Sorry guys - it’s not reflected in user experience. How people trade with this platform when the moment heavy load (market open etc) the platform freezes. Hours later (as of writing) and still no response from support or the manager. Not great. Ticket 020524487
Update 1: market open 6 Feb. No response, and same issue again- freezing up while tradingview has no freeze. Took another screen record this and sent it to IronBeam.
With all the videos it’s obvious they need to tweak their stack ao it auto scales immediately (with 1/2 seconds) during increased load. I hope IB acknowledge the problem and give a roadmap to when this will be implemented.
I currently have a small account to test out the platform and execution before depositing a large amount but can’t commit unless the platform and execution is predictable.
I deposited some money into my iron beam account but I didn’t trade much on it because the UI is very unorganized and not pleasant on the eye. I much prefer ninja trader and interactive broker in that regards. I withdrew my money after a couple of months in 2 batches and I was charged a wire fee of 40$ two times. There is no option for ach withdrawal and also no way to see that there is a 40$ charge involved. On top of that my bank also charged me 15$ wire fee two times. Which is absurd for a brokerage not to have a direct ach withdrawal option which will avoid all these problems and also which makes you wonder why their fee is this high. I’d recommend steering clear of this brokerage. There are much better options. I am even considering sueing them because this is a scammy practice.
Edit-
Where did you communicate there is a 40$ charge? For a domestic transaction that’s absurd anyways. And did you clearly show that check withdrawal is free? This is basically a restaurant advertising free food but writing service is 40$ on the fine print. And even that is better since they at least wrote it on the fine print unlike you guys.

Ironbeam still has a lot of work to do on this platform. There are too many technical issues that can directly lead to capital losses.
I opened a trade through TradingView, but the platform did not display the real execution status of the position. I genuinely thought the trade had not been executed. Because of that, I refreshed the page, and when I logged back in, I was already down $70.
This is not fair.
What makes it worse is that Ironbeam does not allow you to properly set or manage stop losses when trading through TradingView, which is a basic and essential risk-management tool. As a trader, being unable to protect your position is unacceptable.
The platform feels poorly integrated and unreliable, and the way orders are handled creates unnecessary confusion. Losses happen in trading—that’s normal—but they should come from market decisions, not from platform malfunctions or lack of control tools.
At the moment, this platform feels designed in a way that puts traders at a disadvantage—not because of bad trading decisions, but because of how the system itself operates.
Martin my personal risk manager has helped my onboarding funds and hey a good start to learning the iron beam platform as well as customer requested risk restraints have been a gear tool

Iron Beam is a great broker! Brent is a strong rep and easy to work with! Rates are great and service is fantastic. I've been recommending them every chance i get.

Prior to Ironbeam I worked with NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader's customer service was terrible: out of the blue their customer compliance department would notify me through E-mail that my account would be shutdown and liquidated. When asked why, both the compliance department as well as their staff refused to give me a proper reason after I reached out to them on multiple occasions. They essentially ghosted me. To NinjaTrader a customer like me was simply a number.
At Ironbeam the Brokers and staff members treats their patrons like people. Whenever I call in to either the tradedesk or my Broker, Brent Murphy, I always get a call back and get a detailed explanation that resolves my issue and concern(s).
Having come from NinjaTrader prior, I am glad to be working with Ironbeam not only because the customer service is great, but also the fees and commissions are reasonable.

I've used Ironbeam for nearly six months. The platform itself is decent, their customer service is not bad but the trade execution is poor, the commissions are high, and the wire transfer fees are excessive. Overall, it's a very expensive brokerage to traded with.

I submitted a withdrawal request with Ironbeam and then called the same day to make sure everything was fine. The representative told me there were no issues and that the withdrawal would be processed normally.
When nothing happened, I called again the next day and got the same answer — that everything looked fine and the funds should go out soon. Then, almost 48 hours later, I received an email saying my withdrawal was rejected due to an ACH deposit restriction.
No one mentioned that policy during either of my calls, and the way it was handled was completely unprofessional. The customer service reps sounded distracted and uninterested, like they had better things to do than help a client asking about his own money.
It’s unacceptable for a brokerage handling client funds to provide this level of misinformation and indifference. I’ve traded with other firms, and I’ve never seen this kind of carelessness.
If you value professionalism, accurate communication, and timely handling of your withdrawals, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
