Ordered pre-sale Seiko watched then…

Ordered pre-sale Seiko watched then immediately saw all the negative reviews. Emailed several times the next day to cancel order and did not get a response. After constant emails and reporting to PayPal, I got a Gmail account (suspicious) email from Kenta Marui saying he will refund with a 4% PayPal fee. I replied okay. Again, no refund. I finally bypassed PayPal and opened a chargeback request from my credit card company. I also reported Kenta and his company to the Japan Anti Fraud Organization (JAFO). DANGER, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE!!!!!!

Order never arrived, and they ignore all inquiries

I placed an order three weeks ago. The website listed the item as "in stock" and that it would be shipped within 3-5 business days. I expected to receive tracking information within that period of time but did not. I sent an email requesting a tracking number, but never received an answer. I even opened an online chat box (they indicated that someone would be "with you shortly") and, after waiting a half hour without any response closed the chat window. This company is a scam. I finally opened a case with PayPal and, when they did not receive a response within ten days, they refunded my money. Save your money and shop elsewhere. This place has pathetic service.

I ordered a watch early in march 2024 they advised at the time that the watch would ship in june due to popular demand for that model, June came around, they advised they would ship the following month, July after following up advised that the model was so popular that they are shipping them in the order of people who were waiting for them. August, Nothing, September, Nothing.

Radio silence from them, recieved an email on december advising the watch would be shipped, didnt happen, didnt reply to my email, radio silence once again.

After reading some reviews, it appears that this site is a scam and I would not recommend you give them your hard earned money

They have very bad return and exchange…

They have very bad return and exchange policy and are expert in delivering wrong sizes and the quality is not maintained. Customer service also not at all satisfactory. They just want to deliver and forget! Don’t recommend Japam at all!!

Great if you're used to purchasing from small exporters

I purchased a Seiko Astron Nexter from them (ref SBXY053), and the overall experience was solid. I ended up making the purchase because price was the lowest I could find for that specific watch new, with box with papers. They were helpful and communicated promptly when I had a couple of questions before I placed the purchase. They were actually relatively slow in shipping and providing updates... however this is about what I would reasonably expect of someone based in Japan offering the lowest price I can find on a JDM watch shipped to the United States. Realistically people like this are running small businesses with very little (or more likely zero) inventory on hand, so there will be a lag where there is no info to provide for a few days while they try to source the watch you purchased (since its through paypal, paying up front was not an issue for me). In this case, there was an additional delay... but again for the right reason. Someone actually took the trouble to inspect the first watch they sourced for my order, found an issue of some sort, and rather than send me a product that was not right, they notified me of the delay and the reason why, gave a new ETA, and sourced another watch. The one I got took about a week more than expected to arrive, but it was perfect, and the price was better than any other I saw for the same product. Also, once shipped, they send you one email with a tracking number, and that is the last communication you'll receive from them, its on you go to the Japanese postal service's English language site and paste in the tracking number to see where your shipment is. Again, for a small business of this sort, not a problem imo. So overall, I have to give them 5 stars. There's nothing more I could have asked of them. Are there faster ways to get the same product? Sure. As it happened I could also have bought this specific product from Amazon and I probably would have got 2 day shipping, with automatic text alerts of the package's progress. But I went this route and it saved me at least $150 though, and I can tell you for my transaction the pricing was honest, the product perfect, and the service and turnaround time as fast as could possibly be asked of a small business selling JDM products direct to the consumer. I would do business with them again any time. Also, one last caveat: if you're dealing with a small business like this, and the product is coming from another country its a good idea to look up the customs laws for your country (and what they are regarding the nation of origin) before you make the purchase. The issue didn't come up for my purchase, but they can be a nasty surprise, though they are something the seller obviously has no control over. And may not be able to even tell you about.

Terrible or no communication at all

Terrible or no communication at all. I ordered a watch from these people on August 11th 2023 and have yet to receive it. Got a tracking number and its been sitting in the country of shipping origin for 3 weeks at least. When I went to the confirmation Email they sent, it tells me that the webpage doesn't exist. When I finally found the new company (they changed the name) and requested a code to log in (forgot password), the code never showed up in text or Email. I finally remembered my password and got in to my account today September 7th 2023, and asked for an email containing the tracking number. Apparently, this company changes their website/company name many times a month so that authorities can't run them down? If I ever receive the tracking number I will be amazed.

I was lucky

Japan Onlinestore had a Casio Protrek hard to get watch listed. I ordered it on 12/26/22, used PayPal service and a very good credit card to pay for it.

I did not receive an order confirmation, no tracking info.
On 12/26/22 I received an email from the store stating that there are problems with the website. I tried to access the website. Status :Suspended
Now I started to worry and opened a case with PayPal and also with my credit card. Today 1/5/23 I received a refund from PayPal. Japan Onlinestore is not a trustworthy business. They have serious communication problems and don't seem to care.

I learn my HARD lesson and want to share with everyone who read this.. They are specialty for Japanese watch, saw their website has the new Seiko GMT, SSK005KC Orange so nice..in their website at that time.. it clearly state "Made in Japan" Lucky I screenshot that. After all the waiting.. received the item is "Movt in Malaysia, Case in China" which part is "Made in Japan" ?? If at the beginning they honestly said is not.. I would not buy this. I have several TRUE Seiko they all have the "Made in Japan" logo in the watch. I report to them, NO response, until I report to PAYPAL. Went back to their website, they remove that "Made in Japan" statement. I screenshot all that. After report to PayPal, Then they response right away. "Pls return to us" In their website clearly state all return need to have RMA # , i follow their instruction, fill in online, NO response, I screenshot all that for my record. No response. Only time they response to me is "Please return it to us Thank you advance!" HOW? without RMA, without Return label and instruction? Every time i send the message they dont response, I give them reasonable time to response and they choice NOT to. I report to my CC company. The last response from the seller "I had contact to Seiko Japan about SSK005KC. They said SSK005KC is "Made in Japan" Thank you for your understand."
Am i the watch guy? How did i know this watch is not made in Japan? There is a sticker stick on the back of the watch "Movt in Malaysia Case in China" IF this is true "Made in Japan", go head, put back the "Made in Japan" statement back to website. Dont remove it. In their website, they do clearly state which watch made in Japan and which made in China and also the pic of the watch has that Made in Japan logo, just like all the True Seiko I own. Bottom line, if you in the watches business and dont know where your merchandise Made? By the way, you all can google in eb.y and some jewelry shop, dont want to said name or post link, they do have True Made in Japan Seiko 5 for this new GMT series. I know NOT all Seiko made in japan, BUT DONT LIE.

Some points need to be improved

Decent price. The watch arrived carefully packed and works well. It didn't have the protective film on the front glass and the seconds hand has a little flaw, that is visible to attentive observers. No alignment issues and for the rest as I said the watch works well, when it comes to times keeping too. After PayPal purchase it was really difficult to get in touch with the owner to have confirmation. There is room for improvement on quality check before shipping and communication with the clients.
