Gym was fine. I used to train at the Huddersfield JD all of the time. What I will say is that a few of the machines have fallen into disarray, and there was a lot more random litter in the dumbbell... Voir plus

The gym is fantastic, 1 negative
The gym is fantastic, clean, friendly staff and members, lots of equipment. Only down side not to Huddersfield but the gym in general is that if you enter the gym in the morning you can’t enter again for another 18 hours! So no gym twice in 1 day! Unless you press the buzzer and ask the staff to let you in. Forgot to enter my car reg the other week and couldn’t get back in to stop me getting a ticket until the staff let me back in, But overall all superb gym and lovely people

If you come back a second time in the same day, please press the green buzzer button near the gates and someone will let you in. The app does only grant entry once per day, but you're welcome to come back as many times as you like, we'll just need to let you in. 👍

Hello! Thanks for leaving us some feedback, we appreciate it.
We are a 24-hour gym in Huddersfield, but due to there being less staff on duty throughout the night, areas which are not covered by CCTV are closed t for the safety of our members (i.e. the main changing rooms and saunas).
We do however leave the accessible changing room open at all times, as well as there being lockers for you to use. If you need to get changed or grab a shower during the night, that option is there for you and you'll have complete privacy in there.

Over 50’s and feeling a little intimidated at…
My friend and I Was abit intimidated at first from an over 50 year old joing this gym knowing that there’s a lot of younger members and body builders.
But when we got shown around by Damon (Huddersfield gym) one of the PT staff he was very enthusiastic and welcoming, putting us at ease and showing us around, explaining all the different equipment and classes available.He also put our minds at rest that there was a varied age range of people that come to the gym and encouraged us to try the different classes to see which we like , plus when using the equipment to go at our own pace and level and not to over do things at first but to build it up over time.
Damon was a great help when we joined up helping us to fill in the forms and still welcoming and checking we are ok each week. Thank you !

All good except music a bit loud and…
All good except music a bit loud and not too my taste. If people want loud music they can put headphones on. I listen to audiobook on the treadmill but the music was so loud it was intrusive.

Motivational environment
The gym looks modern with enough space for everyone and good equipment. I also like the atmosphere because of the motivational music.

JD Gym Huddersfield
Gym is fine always busy loving the classes just which they'd give time to wipe all things used in each class down or when people are on machines or weights they wipe them after using them as everyone just sweating all over the stuff and I'm a clean freak. Staff told me parking is 3 hrs max not 2 hrs like it says online.

Decent gym
Decent gym, good pricing. App is a bit meh — the schedule in app is different to the real classes schedule, QR code works (tho took a bit to make it work), my gym buddy's app is not letting them log in at all though (troubleshooting didn't work at all).
Enough space, but some machines are hard to get to due to their popularity. It is bright enough and spacious enough to freely move around most of the time. Some staff members seem annoyed every now and again, but most are helpful and nice.

Been a member for many years and have loved training here however the gym on becoming over populated and equipment is constantly out of order and takes more than a reasonable amount of time to fix.not just me but other members feel that out of all of jd gyms this one is neglected

Up your game J D GYM.
Gym equipment is poorly maintained and machines are out of action for way too long for my liking. It is a struggle to get on the machines that you would like. As it get too busy at certain times.

Thanks for leaving us some feedback. Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken.
We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can.
