JD Gyms - Liverpool South Avis 

First time back to a gym in a year, instructor was lovely, personable and made me feel at ease.

Spinning Class was brilliant, really enjoyed it and felt great afterwards.

Main gym and facilities look amazing, with a great choice of things to do and it’s clean bright and airy and the people seem nice. So far so good 👍🏻

Went for a visit before joining and received a warm welcome from the employee on duty, a tour of the gym and was able to use the equipment for my first gym session. I joined up straight after and couldn’t be happier. The gym is well kept, has a lot of equipment and space and outside it’s very easy to park. I’m not a classes person but there are a lot on offer. Really recommend this gym, it’s a very reasonable price, the opening hours are good and the staff are friendly.

Attended the JD gym south Liverpool again today.

The wet area and changing areas are unsafe and unsanitary. Wet puddles everywhere. Toilet brushes not cleaned from faeces. No toilet roll available. Rubbish left in steam room.

I asked the staff, who were all talking outside the staff room if there was any toilet roll available in the mens or disabled toilets, to which they just said there wasn’t.

There doesn’t seem to be any cleaners, if there are, then I am surprised as the gym isn’t very clean especially within the changing rooms and toilets.

Lack of cleanliness and gym hygiene.

The mens changing room regularly smells foul when you walk in. There is almost always plastic bottles and rubbish littered around. The showers at the back are starting to smell. The sauna doesn't appear to be getting cleaned properly day to day and is also starting to smell.

I suggest putting a bin by the sauna for all the lazy meffs who leave their bottles in there.

Maybe shutting the door to the toilets or having air fresheners put around the changing rooms.

In the gym itself there isn't enough 'cleaning stations'. A gym of that size should have many more dotted around to encourage users to clean equipment after use. The lack of these is a big problem.

A great gym with a vast amount of equipment and plenty of space to accommodate everyone.

Great choice of equipment. It does get busy but that's expected at this time of year. Glad we joined.

Loads of options of machines and the atmosphere was amazing

I usually love the gym, it has good machines, personal trainers and clean gym, showers and toilets.
The reason i don't give five star is that the sauna , which used to be always clean, is now very dirty on the floor tiles and under the seats.
Solve that and it is a five star gym!

Felt very welcomed on first time to the thurs morning pump fit class at Liverpool South. Instructor made sure she included and tailored class to newbies as well as regulars.

Ok I have started to Burn classes of a morning and feel their should be a rower and assault bike in the class to maximise your full cardio burn as not burning as much as you should in the class think this would be much more helpful in getting a decent cardio burn from class. As only the ski-erg machine is in the class and the class burn room is huge. Thank you

Brilliant gym everything you need, only bad thing we can’t use the swimming pool which is abit mad seeing though dw you got the whole shbang with your membership

I am one of the most awkward people ever who struggles with coordination and felt nervous before starting at JD Gym South in Liverpool. However, after going a few times I've quickly learnt that no one cares about how awkward I am as they are all just getting on with doing their own thing. I feel comfortable coming here and enjoy using the facilities on offer - they have everything you could possibly need to use to work on building your strength, fitness and self-esteem. There is a great atmosphere here and I look forward to continue using this place to one day become a hench! 😄
