Gym is spacious and well maintained but could do with more of the popular machines (Smith machine, Cables, Leg press and Pec fly) as they get very busy around peak hours and this can lead to excessive wear and tear and then them being out of order.

The gym itself is great, I just don’t know where else to complain about this. Today I walked in excited to exercise after a slump of struggling, the moment I walked in a group of four grown adult men called me a slur openly, laughed and stared at me as I walked past. Whilst the gym was fully busy, too??? Twenty -
Thirty something year olds. I am a twenty year old just trying to exercise like they are. I did nothing to deserve that other than exist. How does my presence impact them? Why couldn’t they just leave me alone? Ruined my entire day. And I couldn’t even confront them or alert a worker because id run the risk of getting something worse in return. I don’t know what to do now.

I recently had 3 personal training sessions with Gin Fitness at Newcastle-under-Lyme and he was amazing. he explained the exercises really well and took into account the exercises we wanted to work on. when we mentioned about wanting to do bodyweight exercises, he incorporated it into the next day with no issue at all. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a personal trainer who will push you to do what you can do and help you as much as possible.

This gym has such a good environment i love here and its welcoming. Members of staff such as Saaim are very helpful when needed . Definitely recommend him as pt

Been with the gym since they opened a few years back, quality place for the price, plenty of well kept equipment. The sauna is great and included in the price which is a great touch. The staff are always great, I love my classes with Michael.

Great gym, fantastic resources for every type of fitness, I'm mostly cardio but trying to get into weight lifting, Micheal one of the employees was an amazing help in assisting me into that change

I feel very comfortable when visiting the gym and I don’t feel judged by the other members. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Michael as he pushes me to do better during our weekly training sessions.

This is a great gym with great facilities. would love to see a hack squat machine and hammer strength equipment though.
Big shout out to PT Saaim. Always on the gym floor and helps his clients reach their goals quickly.

Clean with lots of good equipment. Lots of space and the sauna is nice. Not too expensive. Staff are helpful and friendly - special mention to Michael who has always been super friendly.

Saaim was very helpful when I asked him to help me correct my form and overall in the gym.

amazing gym equipment ,always staff around to help and always clean. since saaim has joined the gym, he’s always on the gym floor, helping members out and cleaning as much as possible.

the gym is a great environment with lovely staff and lots of members that get along with each other, saaim made my experiences better as he is a great guy and smashing personal traine.

I mainly joined this gym for the free weight section. Saaim was great when it came to giving me a quick induction and helping me with my form.

Had nothing but great experiences training with Saaim, one of the personal trainers here. Anyone just getting into the gym will be more than happy, money well spent!

Fantastic gym, really good equipment and open 24 hours. All the staff are really friendly and always bring good energy to the classes. Can be busy but understandable with it being one of, if not the best gym in the area by far.

They need to sort out the air conditioning.. took a thermometer in to gym left it there for 3 days.. wish I could add pictures.. it was 7 degrees fahrenheit in the gym.. the air conditioning just blows very cold air in and in the summer blows warm air around.. never worked right.. recent price increase nothing as changed for the good of the gym.. they just come back with its working fine.. members complaine to staff they just say nothing can be done as its operated from main office.. doesn't deserve one star..

I’ve been a member at JD Gym for about 1 year, and I’ve noticed a huge positive difference since Dan joined the team. Before, the gym was often untidy, with weights frequently left scattered across the floor. Since Dan started, the place has become much more organised and welcoming.

He is extremely hardworking and proactive the moment he spots a weight out of place, he’s straight over to put it back on the rack. His attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workout environment are truly impressive. It’s clear he takes great pride in his work, and it shows every day.

Dan’s work ethic and dedication have made a real difference to the overall gym experience. He deserves recognition for the effort he puts in and the high standards he maintains.
