JD Gyms - Rochdale Avis 

Multiple machines to be getting on with your workout and no waiting around.

Everything is always clean and I just love it here!!!!

Gym is fantastic well maintained and clean I use JD rochdale because it’s now 24h and due to work only go after 10pm but ohh boy after 1h of cardio you need a shower and the shower facilities close at 10pm we then have to use the service bath/toilet to change and definitely can’t have a shower because people waiting outside to use it for changing or toilet and this is a huge downside as I have to shower when I reach home and due to my busy lifestyle very inconvenient so JD WE NEED PROPER SHOWER FACILITIES AFTER 10PM

Mens changing room toilets are dirty and sink in toilets very tiny

Ladies only side is awsome. I wish if there could be a way to the toilets through ladies area so we can easily go to the toilets directly without coming to men side

Really good

It's amazing. The staff is welcoming, and the best thing is that it has a separate side for ladies. I can workout efficiently.

Been going for 5 yes now.never disappoints just keeps getting better got everything you need and the staff are always there if needed.

Overall good equipment and facilities with friendly helpful staff.

Would have given a 4 or 5 star however after around 15 to 20 minutes of hearing the same message over the speakers of the showers and changing rooms are about to close while you are trying to exercise ....... Not good

The first class I attended after joining was Burn. We waited for just under 10 minutes and had to seek out a member of staff who had not realised anyone was waiting, but did then run the class for us as the instructor was not there. The following week, on Monday 15th, my daughter and I finished work early to attend the 5.30pm Spin class. After a 15 minute wait and again after having to go and find someone, everyone waiting was told the class was off. So my first experience of the gym is poor.

Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Good variety to machines. A good ladies only section and fitness classes for all abilities.

The gym instructors and fitness coaches are friendly and supportive especially when doing classes. The gym has a wide range off different machines and equipment which can be used. It is an easy gym to join by signing up online. Overall it is the best gym I’ve been too and it has a positive atmosphere .

I enjoy this gym, I was a member of pure gym until JD went 24hrs, only downside is the changing rooms being locked so early, pure gym allow you to enter a code so you can still use them, is this not possible for JD gyms?

Gym overall is nice and spacious, a lot of equipment in the main bit but not so much in the ladies bit. If your a bit shy like me I’d like more variety in the ladies bit.

I loved the fact there was a member of staff at the door on entry and exit to help with parking screen first off then on exit forgot I needed my phone, full of bags etc a kind chap let me out
The gym was a little untidy though things not returned just left all over the place.this meaning unless you moved equipment the stretch out mats couldn't be used. Conversation in the sauna was a little too loud and gossip like.
Saying that I was happy overall, I'm glad I have rejoined.

i absolutely love jd gyms.i highly recommend it to all my friends all the time.First of all the price is absolutely phenomenal u are getting sooo much for ur money.so its well worth investing in ur own health.this includes all classes, use of all high tech modern state of the art updated equipment, changing rooms, showers and toilet facilities. realy clean and very convenient sauna room. the decoration is very trendy, modern, stylish and welcoming.its very well organised into separate compartments of activities. the music is always upbeat and highly motivating. its always extremely clean and hygienic to a prestine standard.iv attended the classes for a few years they are soo cool, very energetic and lovly teachers, great group activity. friendly, warm, attentive and understanding staff. i also enjoy using the app to gain entry and exit.it is also full of lots of information like class timetables/gym details offers etc. and not forgetting the 3 hour free parking is fantastic. i cant say enough how much i love jd gyms. i wouldn't ever go to or trust any orher gym. the quality and elite standard of jd gyms has set the bar really high.

It took me and another 'newbie' a few minutes to gain access to the gym using the QR code and scanner. It seems a bit 'hit and miss'. We had the same problem trying to get out too! Some regular members said the system could be a bit temperamental. We pressed the green 'help' button but didn't get any assistance. The gym itself it great; clean, low lighting so you don't feel self-conscious and great studio for classes. Hopefully, I will find it easier to scan in the future.

Since the refurb the gym layout and equipment is much better. Laura and her staff are friendly, accommodating and are present. The monthly cost and location of the gym is spot on for me from a work and home perspective.
The classes are plentiful and spread evenly throughout the week with a varied combination of cardio, strength and balance.
I tend to go in the afternoon as much as possible as it’s much more chilled and you can get on most of the equipment.
The only downfall for me unfortunately is the gym at peak tine (anytime from 4-7). It is just chaos, especially upstairs as it’s packed with mainly students who sadly use the gym as a youth hostel and social place of gathering spending most of the time messing about in groups. Heavy weights are left on the equipment which you then have to start pulling off before you can use it, or left all over the gym floor which I find very disrespectful.
I believe the gym is going to be opening 24/7 so let’s hope this elevates some of the madness?
