I've recently joined JD South I've been to most gyms in Sheffield and this one is up there, equipment is great and everything is looked after.Its a bit of a drive for me but it's well worth the extra... Voir plus
Best gym ,new member from last week , went in to do a session today , experienced some people trying to come in on entrance, wanted some assistance but there was n one there from staff to assist them... Voir plus

Great set of equipments. Even has punching bags which was lacking in most other gyms in the city centre. Plenty of space to move around. Decent price. The only improvement needed is some Body Assess... Voir plus

Very friendly gym
Very friendly gym, good selection of classes and facilities; such as women only area. Staff are lush; would recommend to anyone regardless of fitness level.

Gym has never changed it’s equipment…
Gym has never changed it’s equipment most of the times machines are broken or struggling to work most of the things in the gym are from the old xercise 4 less nothing has really changed apart from a few climbing frames

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible.
If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can.

Gym showers are disgusting
Gym showers are disgusting. Filled out the form to cancel membership before the 14 day period so i can get my money back however no one has gotten back to me

I have only just rejoined a week ago…
I have only just rejoined a week ago and within 1 week I have turned up for 2 classes and both was a no show, no notice put out, nothing changed on the app and a “couldn’t care less” attitude from the staff on duty! A simple note on the door of the studio or a two minute job to alter the app stating it is cancelled! There was other staff there that could have covered the classes but they chose not too! This is why me and my friends cancelled our previous membership due to continuous cancelled classes with no notification. On both occasions there were over 6 members just stood waiting for the classes to start and no one could even be bothered to come upstairs to say sorry it had been cancelled! Even worse the manager was actually sat in the office at the time.

We have spoken with the gym manager and they'd like to reach out to you and personally apologise for the inconvenience this caused you and the other members involved.
We do on occasion have to cancel classes if the instructor is unable to deliver it. However an alternative should always be offered. We believe in this case the alternative wasn't the class that was planned in.

Please fix the machines!
One month on and haven’t fixed the equipment. they need to sort out a lot of the machines. Loads of cables snapped, machines need oiling up as they don’t run smoothly and 2 of the 5 showers are broken leaving you waiting to get in one on busy days.

I like the range of equipment and the open space. My only issues are some of the machines are starting to become rusty, some of the clips for the machine weights go missing and the women’s gym doesn’t have enough equipment

I’ve emailed to if you still just turn up to classes or if you book and had no response which is no surprise! this is partly why I cancelled my membership last time the communication from the staff at that gym is horrendous. The actual gym on the other hand that’s great.

Nice gym but no help in sight
Nice gym but no help in sight. Staff need to be visible but after 2 visits i have yet to find a staff member. Good facilities but some equipment does not work. Appreciate it is Christmas time though.
