Great gym clean great management friendly staff

The friendliness of the stuff makes a huge difference between this gym and other gyms offering the same type of service, Martyn for example has been really helpful to me, he is always willing to help everybody and always with a smile.

Martyn as a PT and AM makes me feel very comfortable and able to use all the equipment comfortably

After many years going to JD’s gym i can say there’s no other gym i feel more comfortable in !

Having many PT and training sessions with the manager there martyn i can honestly say i have seen massive improvements not just in my body and performance but in my confidence too! What an absolute gentleman and as are so many of JD’s staff members who are always on hand to support anyone!

For someone who lacks in confidence and sometimes needs a little help with how to handle machines correctly i can assure you that this gym is has completely transformed the outlook i have .

Great gym with a variety of machines and equipment and a choice of many classes with great teachers. Having a women’s room too is a game changer. In particular the PTs, Martyn, Graysohn and Adam make the gym a really safe and friendly place which makes all the difference

Clean, good community reliable and got everything you need

Joined this gym in August 2024 after a few years of not going to a gym and was made to feel welcome straight away. It is quite a large gym but always clean with cleaners back and fore throughout the day. I started to lose my mojo just doing my own thing in the gym and decided to take part in some of the classes on offer. I joined the classes at 6.30am and have found Adam, Liam and Tom (the PT's) to be very friendly and helpful in the classes. At times I have been the only one turning up for class and they have still taken the time to set things up and push me through it when they could have said not putting a class on as bot enougb people. Each PT has their own style and workout routine which is great as it means you don't get bored of the same thing. Whilst I am no elite athlete, I can see and feel the difference since going to these classes and receiving the encouragement from Adam, Liam and Tom.
However I do feel that there are a few negative things I would say about the gym such as not all of the equipment I.e. rowing machines, bikes, treadmills work properly and also the ladies only area is rather small and can get very busy. Also a lot of people don't always put their mats, weights etc. back in main area which can be a little annoying.
Overall a good friendly gym.

Pt Adam-Rhys Davies is fantastic he has helped me so much with my confidence in tej gym and he always goes that extra mile to help me his classes are brilliant and his knowledge and expertise are second to none.

I've been made to feel so welcome! Especially from Adam and Richard N..great atmosphere, makes you want to push yourself harder.
A very spacious gym with its own ladies area, the women are so friendly and help each other. Worth the 5 stars I've given!!!

Been years since I set foot in a gym, Sarah made the experience easy & comfortable. Pushed me when needed but understood I was nervous. 100% will be telling family & friends about this gym.

lovely gym, staff are very friendly and the cleaners are always working hard. i had an induction with a PT cant remember his name but he was so helpful with using equipment i was not sure of.

The staff were really helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The gym itself was clean and tidy with a great selection of equipment.

Extremely nervous starting a new gym but the environment was really welcoming, the staff are really friendly and I love the ladies only section. But even in the main area everyone is lovely and it’s really comfortable going for the first time. There’s really good equipment and machines available with a nice layout, as well as a free induction with a PT to show you around and how to use everything.

I find out the gym is too far for me, and I asked for the refund and I didn’t get any response

Its decent enough nice selection of machine seem sto be enough to go round for Everton 1 as it was pretty rammed last night still got what I needed to do so so.harms there

Kyle was so lovely and informative whilst giving me an induction into the gym. He made me feel very welcome and was very encouraging!

Good place can get busy as most gyms do what is annoying is that the changing room don’t open till 8 am on weekends and the door outside is locked have to use you qr reader twice before you get in bar this it’s a decent place I was coming here when it was the old gym

Gym Layout
All of the cardio equipment is currently located upstairs. It would be more convenient to have some cardio machines available downstairs near the weights area, especially for members who like to incorporate both cardio and strength training in a single session.

Equipment
Overall, the equipment is well maintained and there is a good variety and quantity available. However, there appears to be a limited number of rowing machines, so far, I’ve only seen two: one in the main cardio area and one in the ladies’ gym. It would be great to see more rowers added.

Gym Inductions & Staff Visibility
It would be helpful if gym induction sessions were offered more frequently and at various times to suit different schedules. Additionally, staff should make more of an effort to be visible and approachable on the gym floor, to assist members and enhance the overall experience.

Cleanliness
While the gym looks clean and spacious, and the air conditioning works well, there is a lack of visible cleaning stations. Cleaning products like disinfectant spray and paper towels should be made available, and members should be encouraged to wipe down machines before and after use to maintain hygiene standards
