I purchased a vehicle from Jamie Mears / Jamie Mears Cars Limited in September 2024 for £5,595. Within 10 days I identified a significant oil leak. The vehicle was returned for repair multiple times over ten months by the dealer's appointed mechanics. The fault was never resolved.

After the final repair the vehicle came back in a worse condition than when collected. A part was missing from the engine and there was minimal oil. No service records or paperwork were provided for any of the repairs carried out.

I referred the matter to AA Cars mediation but no resolution was reached. I have since exercised my final right to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and am pursuing formal legal action.

I am aware of at least one County Court Judgment entered against the company. The company has applied for voluntary strike-off whilst new companies have been incorporated at the same address.

I received threatening communications from the dealer personally during this dispute.

I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Jamie Mears or any associated company to exercise extreme caution.

If I could leave a review without stars I would ! Dealer claims to be affiliated with the AA but the reality is they fail to adhere or follow any of their codes of practise ! Incorrect V5 paperwork supplied with a vehicle, no warranty details supplied, no free AA Breakdown Cover, ignored correspondence from 30 minutes after car delivered and that continued ! So much more to this all of which has been documented and recorded and will be going to court .
