James Madison High School was the perfect window of opportunity for me as an adult. Although I regret not finishing high school along with my peers at the time, I'm grateful that I was able to finally earn my diploma at my own pace. If anyone is considering getting their diploma I would personally recommend this program 100%.

I was nervous about going back to school at my age, but I get to start over at 40! James Madison's program enables people my age to work privately, at our own pace, and with flexibility. I feel proud of myself, and so do my loved ones. I highly recommend it to all!

Buyer beware! The school has outrageous cancellation charges. Impossible to get a human being on the phone without waiting for extremely long periods of time. When you do get someone on the phone, get ready for them transfer you to someone else and the process of waiting starts over again. I received a cancellation bill yesterday for $540. My wife called today and after waiting for 30 minutes on hold was told she needed to pay $619. When asked why the difference in the bill that I received on Sunday, September 7 and today the person could not answer the question and wanted to transfer her. When I got on the phone, the agent got mad and hung up. I would not recommend James Madison online high school to anyone.

I absolutely adore this High School. I had dropped out of high school when I was 17. I never went back after my jr year of high school. Pretty dumb of me because I was almost done. Anyway fast forward to when I was 20years old I had a brand new baby girl and there wasn’t nothing gonna stop me for achieving this goal to become a better parent to my daughter!! I knew I had to buckle down and get my act together!! I found James Madison and was so grateful for it. I now am a high school graduate in 2005 not only did I receive a tru on true High School diploma I’m also a college graduate now because of this school. I will forever be grateful I found yall. Thank you from the bottom of my happy mama heart. I have never had an issue getting into college and that’s because they have top Notch accreditation. Prices are practically the same as they were in 2005. This school really drove me to finish high school for me and my daughter. I appreciate yall so much because yall were always there for me when I did need you. I could never thank you enough. You played a very important part of my life and I’m truly grateful!!

Very difficult to reach anyone, other than billing. Learner Support is basically non-existent. They were VERY QUICK to take our money but over 1 hour hold time to reach anyone and they couldn't help me with anything.... just said to put in a ticket which takes days or longer for them to respond to and still havent fixed the issues.

I wrote a review around a month ago and things have gotten worse... the school has entirely switched to a new website and it is terrible. I am being charged fees I know nothing about and the website will not let me pay them, they are also charging taxes on fees now.

I cannot access any of my course materials and was told I will not be able to complete any courses or access my work for 3-5 days while they review my ticket. When I spoke to a representative I asked a question and was responded to with "Thank you!" and she ended the chat. Their communications are terrible. My parent has been on the phone 12 minutes and counting after being told it was a 2 minutes wait to try and pay this fee we owe. I can not complete any school work, the website has no way for me to create a ticket, and we cannot contact anyone.

I am so disappointed because I have loved this program so much.

Also my program percentage was 71% complete and when the portal switched it dropped to 65%.

UPDATE: after having to call the school again they sent my account to collections for the late fee of $20. We were not contacted about an issue with our payment prior to this. The new portal sat open on three devices and over the course of nearly an hour could not finish calculating the total cost to allow payments. After paying the fee over the phone my materials was released. I really love this school but they urgently need better communication.

I tried to enroll my granddaughter in your school. I asked if they took home school kids and gave them credit for their work so I enrolled her. Then they told me that I had to send her transcripts from her high school. I told them she was home schooled. Now they weren't sure if she was accepted. This went on for two weeks, me calling them and them ignoring me or sending me from person. Finally they said they would send me a transcript that I could fill out and send back and she would have to take a CAT test before they could admit her. I was tired of being ignored and having to call all the time so I looked for another school. I called James Madison to cancel her enrollment and they told me I owed them 329 dollars for the enrollment fee. I protested and they said you have 5 days to cancel its in the enrollment form. I filled out the form in Aug and 2 days ago I still didn't know if she would be accepted. This is some sleazy outfit. Be very careful

I was told that as soon as I paid off my school I would be able to download my digital diploma. This is a lie. I have been waiting two days and still nothing yet popping up on my account, Went to the FAQ page and it says to go to parchment to purchase a transcript. DId that and the transcripts have diploma not awarded, I am pissed off with this school.

James Madison worked well for my son. He's self-motivated and already had a strong background before starting. We came here when he was 14 so he could graduate early to begin college. 18 months later, he was done and obtained his high schoo diploma. He just graduated from a local state college. Since it's SACS accredited, he was able to get the HOPE scholarship. While I wish there had been a bit more teacher support, his learning to self-teach was invaluable.

Enrollment for my grandson 17 months ago was very encouraging especially discussions of payment plan.Billing office is the only available number for contact.Emails to the AU-Registrar are answered weeks later unsigned and not helpful.Transcript can't be found but in the meantime payments are deducted on time.No one will speak to me about my concerns.I have been wasting money for 17months which is very dishonest on their part.I am retired and his only guardian.

I’ve been calling to speak with an academic advisor and the only department that was available was the financial department. You cannot book appointments online to speak with an academic advisor because it’s unavailable. I’m sadden about the whole experience. This school does not care about their students graduating they just want the MONEY! I guess filling a complaint with the Georgia Department of Education will shine some light on the school.

Poor customer service you try to make a ticket, but we behold you are greeted with them telling you to go to a student portal that is useless and they close out your ticket without a phone call I would never recommend this

Do NOT waste your time or money!!! I enrolled my daughter and one month later was still not able to gain access to their school portal. After DOZENS of phone calls over the course of three weeks I demanded my money back. Nobody returns your calls, you wait forever to speak to anyone, and they make it near impossible to cancel! I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

My stepdaughter attended this school for two years. Now she is enrolled at a public high school and they refuse to provide transcripts to either us or the school. Her current school has no idea where she is academically and she will have to start high school over at the age of 17 after spending a fortune on tuition at this scam of a “school.” Do not give your money to these people.
