Poor communication in house and with customer. Poor attitude on delivery. Unauthorised access and no attempt to rearrange access when they failed to collect on agreed day.

Original booking for portaloo during bathroom renovation made through 0800 number. Delivery needed as property located on main road and hi ab necessary. Informed staff of disability and was assured all requirements could be met. Checked with branch the week before & learned booking wasn't for 9am delivery requested but 4pm pick up. Corrected that. Paid weekend before. On day no delivery by 9:30 so checked. Was told "leaving now, you'll be first". Chased again 11:15. Sending a guy out now. Arrived 12:30. Couldn't go where wanted, had to deal with staff who seemed mad at me for the failure of the person who did original booking. Had to move stack of items to create space where he said it could reach. Remember: permanently disabled.
End of renovation requested to be last pick up of day due to delays in plumbers finishing. Was asked if I was ok with next day collection. Said that's fine, less hassle for them. Have since been charged extra $12.40 without permission. No contact and portaloo left all weekend. Had back gate blocked with 4 fence posts to stop random drunks walking past at night from coming in and using it. No contact re: pick up. After recovering through bed rest it's been collected, someone has reached over the gate and shoved the posts over breaking a paling and also knocking a few pieces of gate loose at the same time. I don't hold them responsible for the one I'd done myself. I have photos of damage. My opinion: unauthorised entry to property, damage to property and charged extra because (best guess, since they didn't see fit to inform me) they were collecting after original date and temporarily forgot to take it off hire. Remember: the extra day was for their convenience, not mine!
Previously considered kennards a good company with good service. Never again. Congratulations, you made an extra 12.40 and lost a customer (and their family) permanently.

Lousy equipment service

On the 8th April I rented a 4.5m electric micro scissorlift from the Christchurch Moorhouse branch.. I was charged @251,00 for a one day rental. When I got it to site it failed after just 2 hours of light use. The battery was flat. I have rented dozens of scissorlifts and they have always lasted at least a day. I had been rented this scissorlift with a flat battery. Absolutely disgusted with the Christchurch Moorhouse branch.

The worse service i have ever…

The worse service i have ever experienced, the guys at Doncaster kennards gave me a nail gun that was not working well onsite , it could not drive a nail all the way through pine , I called them and asked for a replacement , they kept trying to avoid the question and asked me to take pictures and they even said there is a specific type of nail to use in a nail gun ??? Full of crap ! They would not even give me a refund , just hung up on me while I was pleading my case . There full of it never ever will hire of these scum bags ever again! Piss poor service

Kennards Ultimo

These guys are getting worse, they are constantly increasing the price it is now over $400pm it's ridiculous. The place closes at 6pm and I get there at 5:10pm and some of the garage doors to access the place were already shut. I could understand maybe 5.45 they close them but with 50mins till close is a bit rich. Can't even get into it like your usual 24hr access they won't to open n close in business hours. I'm taking my stuff to a better place, over them!

I stood at the service desk for over 10…

I stood at the service desk for over 10 minutes waiting to be served (picking up a trailer booking) while both staff were on the phone, trying not to make eye contact with me.. I was the only customer at the desk - Appalling service Kennards Cannington.. i do not recommend
