I learnt so much
Kiki Photo Tours deserves every bit of praise for delivering a relaxed, informative and genuinely enjoyable photography experience in Porto. From start to finish, the tour feels personal with a strong focus on both improving your skills and discovering interesting corners of the city you’d probably miss on your own. Pieter, the photographer behind Kiki Photo Tours, is patient, encouraging and very good at pitching his advice to your level, whether you’re a complete beginner like me or already comfortable with a camera. He doesn’t just talk about settings; he explains why a scene works, helps you see light and composition in new ways, and gives tailored tips so you can apply what you learn immediately which in my case was everything. The pace of the walk is easy. The route itself is a real highlight: it weaves through some of Porto’s most photogenic spots, mixing well-known viewpoints with more local corners and details that make your photos feel unique and I can use on my next trip. You get a variety of subjects. It also doubles as a great city introduction, with local insights and stories that add context to what you’re photographing. What stands out most is how comfortable and fun the experience feels, even if you’re usually shy about shooting in public or unsure of your abilities. There’s no pressure, no rushing and no sense of being “judged”; instead, it feels like walking around with a knowledgeable friend who really wants you to get better pictures. Overall, I highly recommend Kiki Photo Tours to anyone visiting Porto who wants to learn, explore and create memorable images at the same time.
