I have been a customer for many years and had no complaints until this time. I purchased a $3300 lathe, plus accessories totaling over $4000, with an agreement with your manager that I could purchase the assembled floor model. He told me he would have it on a pallet ready to load into my trailer for April 2, 2026. I needed the assembled model due to my old age , poor physical condition and it being much easier to get into my shop in one piece on a dolly rather than having to carry all the individual, very heavy cast iron pieces. I rented a dolly, borrowed a trailer and when I arrived after a 4 hour drive to pick it up I was told I could not have the floor unit. This resulted in me having to unload the 500lb+ lathe in pieces with so much difficulty that my body gave out and I dropped the head stock onto the concrete floor of my shop damaging it. Why did this manager make a deal with me then cancel the deal without informing me. I would not have purchased it had I known he had changed the terms of our agreement without informing me. I am purchasing a high end table saw, jointer and thickness planer shortly totaling well above $10,000….sadly it won’t be from KMS. Dennis (Kelowna wood working machinery floor guy) is excellent. His manager is a liar.

I spent some time in the Kelowna store looking for a specific mechanics seat…somehow I had missed seeing the item or the price tag but I was happy when I bumped into a young man attendant who was able to help me find exactly what I wanted to to buy for my son for Christmas. We had a good chat about auto repair fun…he told me to tell my son he should try motor bike repairs sometime…we wished each other a Merry Christmas and we went on we our business for the day, myself…happy that I had one less gift to find. On October 26 I brought in a gift card that I had in my wallet for quite some time. The gift card was partially used showing $78.20 written on it. I tried to redeem it and was told it was inactive due to the length of time between uses. I gave it to the head cashier with the promise that she would get back to me. On November 14 I went in to the Kelowna store to find out what progress had been made. The head cashier could not find my card or any emails to head office about my problem. I stood there for 10 minutes while she looked with no success. I was told that I would receive a call regarding the issue. I did get a call back several hours later from the head cashier letting me know that she had found the email from head office. It stated that there was no value left on the card. This seamed very convenient as an hour earlier she couldn't find the card or an email. I asked for a copy of the email to confirm this but I was told that they couldn't send me copies from head office.
About an hour later I received a call from the store manager. I once again asked for a copy of the email he refused and told me that him telling me should be good enough. I told him it wasn't and I wasn't happy , he said ok bye. One minute and 9 seconds later the call was over.
I run a tourism business and if one of my managers blew a customer off like that I would be mortified.
This could have all been avoided If 1)they called me back some time in the 19 days between October 26 and November 14
2)Sent me a copy of the email from head office(if it existed)
3) if the manager had given me more than 1 minute and 9 seconds of his time before he hung up on me.
I truly believe they lost my card and instead of being straight up about it I was lied to. They chose to alienate my patronage over less than $80
I have been a customer for over a decade and I expect to receive better customer service than that. I will now always look for an alternative before returning to KMS.

Ordering experience was great! Communication about products arrival was great! Staff was great!
Only small issue was that it wasn't super clear where to go to pick up my order. I walked all the way through the store to the back and was told I had to go outside and walk all the way around the store to the back on the OUTSIDE. Lots of extra walking when I was virtually there on the inside, otherwise 5 Stars

Absolutely everytime i go in here i am treated well. they are always happy to help with questions i have and the few times i have need service they dealt with it quickly. I always go here first and willing to pay a little extra knowing the service is that good.

The large ones ? You list caps but not the actual replacement applicator for coloured tips ?
