I am very happy I chose Kollectivet for my custom wedding ring! Gayara is very patient; she never made me feel rushed even though I have problems making decisions. She is very knowledgeable, and happily guides you through what will and won’t work, really tries to make things work if she sees how important they are to you, and she even suggested details that I love on other rings but didn’t think to ask for on mine. For me it was valuable to get other suggestions, even though I didn’t go with all of them (for example, she showed me a beautiful cushion cut sapphire that was a bit too light in colour for me. This cemented that I was set on my emerald cut and darker colour). She then found a sapphire with the perfect violet colour for me! The main reason I wanted to go custom was to be able to choose my own stone, as I am very picky when it comes to the right shade of purple, and didn’t want the standard round or oval cut stone. She would also sell me a wedding ring in sterling silver without a doubt, even though most other companies don’t even mention sterling silver as a viable choice (which I know it is, since my engagement ring is sterling silver and has held up great over the last 20+ years). I even got to choose a custom font for the complimentary engraving!

There were plenty of updates throughout the process, and she made sure she understood what I wanted or what my questions were, and was clear on what we had decided on (type of metal, type and colour of stone, price range, etc.).

It might help to go in with at least a rough idea of what you like, I had way too many inspirational images to get across a good idea of what I wanted, and that lost us a bit of time (and with some details during the design process, I wish I had just trusted the process more, and not been so anxious. That would have also saved us some time).

Going custom gave me a ring that really feels like me. I didn’t have to compromise on anything, which I would have if I had gotten one from a store. Thank you Kollectivet, for everything!
