Happy Saturday!

Sophisticated Boom Boom white vinyl received yesterday - i've made do with a crappy tape version of tracks recorded from the John Peel Show for over 40 years but this sounds magnificent.
Also in the package was a subscription album which had originally got lost in the Royal Mail void so cheers for that too!
Thanks to Ian, Julia & team for their continued dedication, it's much appreciated!

Sorry to be the outlier...

I note the many many positive reviews here so it's really very frustrating to have to go against the grain. Having ordered an item from stock on 16th Sept it spent 3 weeks with no updates, miraculously changing to "shipped" the very day I queried it (11th Oct) however no actual reply from them. It's still not here, the tracking number doesn't work and the only response I've had from them is that they aren't responsible for Royal Mail's service in a rather rude and aggressive email.
I really want to like these people because they, on the face of it, represent everything good record labels and stores should be. The reality, for me at least, is that they're either having a bad day every time I contact them or I've had the bad luck to get their one terrible employee each time.
As someone who was considering taking up a subscription I'm hugely disappointed.

I note the response from LNFG which takes the same tone adopted to everyone they fail. It's a shame they can't spend as much energy politely responding to and solving customer issues as they do to denigrating them on TrustPilot. Fortunately better and more efficient competition exists.
Further update: despite numerous emails and no product arriving this company have just gone silent, no refund, no response. If I'd realised they are so hard up 22 quid means so much to them I'd have donated it to them as charity. Disappointing but YMMV.
Final update: once the magical Royal Mail waiting period had passed and no item received I requested a refund on a number of occasions to zero reply from "Ian". I ended up having to process a charge back through my bank. Quite literally the worst online retail experience I've ever had.

You didnt have to go against the grain Paddy. However for clarity the only antagonist in this situation was yourself.

Your email read : "The above item has been "on its way" since 11 October with a Royal Mail reference that doesn't actually track the item.
I get that you're a small outfit but this is just unacceptable.
Please process a refund for the item. If it turns up I'll either pay for it or return it to you."

My reply was "I see, we are responsible for the service of Royal Mail

Really nice and reasonable manner about you

Royal Mail will treat the item as lost after 4 weeks at which point we can process your refund"

Sorry - precisley what was aggressive about pointing out that we do not control the service standards at our national postal company and what is reasonable about expecting a refund before the item is confirmed as lost.

You were not considering taking out a subscription, please do not over egg the pudding here.

You chose to express your displeasure at us for a problem with Royal Mail and we clearly explained that in the next 10 days, if the item does not appear we will refund you. Nothing aggressive or antagonistic in that.

Last Night From Glasgow gets any negative reviews removed. That's because they pay for that service and TrustPilot is a fraud.

My previous full review was removed and there were other 1 star reviews from other people which mysteriously vanished too. Then despite not having had a single review for months suddenly 21 positive 5 star reviews miraculously appeared within 24 hours! That speaks for itself.

Okay, Alistair let's have this out again. Everyone knows who you are, so let's stop pretending. First off - how do you know 1 star reviews were taken down. Only the reviewer would know that? I guess you must have been the reviewer. That or your experience was so bad that you have spent the last 3 weeks scrutinising our company. Now we know yiou have because we know we are your obsession, although judging by your Facebook profile we are not your only victim just now. You do seem to attract trouble. Anyway - the fact our loyal customers take it upon themselves to defend us, against trolling, by posting their experiences must truly infuriate you and we are sorry it causes you such distress. A better man would simply admit he was wrong and move on, but not you.

About time we had a business supporting music fans

I stumbled across Last Night from Glasgow some 6 months ago and I wanted to write and offer my support to the team. As a business they are a record shop and record label. The best description is that they are a fan based business, looking to drive music forward for the fans rather than big business. Their customer service has been excellent. I have no problem recommending them.

In a week when government funding for the arts is disappearing, it's so important that LNFG is here to support musicians, helping them to get their first record out into the world or welcoming back bands and solo artists who we haven't heard from for a while, but whose love for their art is undiminished.

Get yourself a subscription to hear new music and broaden your aural boundaries. Re-ignite your passion for older albums, with the classic albums they re-issue. What a great service you get from a fantastic record label and shop. Always coming up with something new to listen to as well as some old classics.

Brilliant service from every member of staff who are always available with great advice. I won't be buying my records from anywhere else.

I really appreciate LNFG's membership program that gives music lovers a chance to support the upcoming releases by the artists on the label! It's a chance to be a part of their wonderful mission in some way! They care about the music scene in Scotland and beyond, and it shows!
