In September 2025, I had the skills to be a better designer. What I didn’t have was a system for becoming one.

I knew I wanted to move into a stronger design role, ideally in enterprise SaaS. But knowing where you want to go and knowing what to do on a Tuesday morning to actually get there are two very different things.

That’s where Design For Change — and Jagadeesh Sir — changed the game for me.

Building resources for the squad and leading a hackathon team pushed me beyond design execution and into ownership, leadership, and communication.

In 2026, I made the switch to SAP — into the kind of global enterprise product environment I had been working toward. Looking back, the destination mattered, but the bigger transformation was learning how to build the system that could get me there.

Beware of Fraudulent UI/UX Course – Arya Firoz & Jagadesh
My name is Johnpaul S. from Chennai. Between 2023 and 2026, dozens of students—including my sister and myself—have lost money and time due to a deceptive UI/UX course run by Arya Firoz and Jagadesh.
They initially conducted a webinar pitching the UI/UX course, promising in-depth training, complete placement assistance, and a guaranteed job within 6 months. Based on these promises, over 30 of us joined.
Instead of delivering on their promises, Jagadesh continuously manipulated students with false commitments of replacement classes and pressured students into writing positive reviews. To date, no proper training was provided, and no refunds have been issued.
We have documented proof of all these interactions and have already lodged a formal complaint against them through the CM Cell.

I enrolled in Design for Change's Silver program expecting a mentorship-focused experience. However, after attending the orientation, I realized the program structure (primarily LMS content, group sessions, and gamified activity points) was not what I was looking for.

I requested a cancellation within hours of enrolling on the same day and deliberately avoided using the platform because I had already decided not to continue.

What followed was three months of repetitive email responses quoting the refund policy, with no consideration of the fact that I had raised my cancellation immediately. I even offered to settle for an 80% refund as a goodwill compromise, but that was refused as well.

The most frustrating part is the refund policy itself. To qualify for an 80% refund, you're expected to attend sessions and complete part of the course. So if you don't use the service because you've already decided to cancel, you're told you're ineligible. If you do use the service, you've consumed it. It feels like a catch-22.

I also approached the founder directly, who was courteous but redirected me back to the payment/legal team, where the conversation simply continued in circles.

After exhausting emails and even filing a complaint through the National Consumer Helpline, I still haven't received any resolution.

For a company that teaches designers how to identify user pain points and solve problems, it's disappointing that such a straightforward customer issue has been handled with so little flexibility or empathy.

If you're considering enrolling, read the refund policy carefully before making a payment, understand exactly what is included in your membership, and don't rely solely on the "money-back guarantee" wording without understanding all the attached conditions.

⭐ 1/5 — Not because of the course content, which I barely used, but because of the refund experience and customer support.

Update: Its been a month now that they haven’t replied anything upon refund they just say avail our services or else we won’t give you any refund if cost of getting educated is like this it better to be illiterate and seeing other users reviews its now more like a pressure to get reviews because if out of 100 only gets enrolled why the count of reviews are low so something or the other is truly misleading and to be honest get told me that we will help you with scholarships after that also the amount was 60k and that full payment or get emi through credit card I already took 15k as a loan which I am still paying on a interest rate of 17% so they technically enjoyed free money because giving 15k was not a big deal for them. And what a great excuse they give me they told we have purchased everything for you AI, Cloud storage etc. I still think how they were sure like seriously giving excuses like this in 2026 so I am truly done its way better to get some other course or a trustworthy mentor they are cheaters and I don’t have any guilt about this after reading other 1 Star reviews definitely not.

Everything is good the mentor is a good person but the policy and people behind it are a bit faulty because I tried to get there gold program and I am not that financially stable so they told me that deposit 15000 and get access for course and get a one on one with Jagadeesh I did that but after I got the access I done the pre-requisite but when I told them to schedule a meeting they just denied me telling that pay the full amount only then we can proceed and after sometime they revoked the access and to be honest that 15000 is on emi and I am still paying it and they are not refunding the money so I know how I am paying emi every month for that thing which don’t even exist and I am done explaining to team and specially suresh they all just deny that we cannot do anything so technically I know that how difficult is to pay monthly emi’s so if you are rich enough then only enrol into the program cause I am not and they not giving the money back so if someone from the team seeing this I just want to say please give my money back

Jagadeesh helped me gain confidence and helped me understand my strengths, I was able to secure a 75% raise in my salary with DFC's help. I am grateful to him for being there and answering my call and guiding me even when he is busy whenever I had an interview. His care and effort towards designers is unmatched. Just follow everything he asks you to do and you will succeed for sure.

Jagadeesh sir's unique potential and his energy is something everyone should experience. Choosing design made me find him. I used to be amazed by the energy he brings for the sessions every day without fail. Consistency at its max. He gives guidance and clarity not just to climb heights in your design career but transform as a human and find your purpose in life and align your career towards it. Jagdeesh sir , is not just product designer coach but who gives proper clarity to students based on their past and future scope , he truely inspires student to visualise big dream not just dreams but to have a bid midset shift in their thinking and achieve higher goal than they actually have ..Truely greatful to have him and be a part of design for change ... Learned about so many AI tools to make our life easy not just as a designer but first as a human. Tools to help us keep on track of our goals and eradicate unnecessary tasks. This is really a holistic way of first improving you as a person, getting you on the right track and then turning you into the best of whatever you want to become. Love the way we are just directly thrown into practical try outs from which we get hands-on experience. Loving it so far and excited for everything that is yet to uncover! Joining and attending DFC sessions have definitely boosted my confidence and helping me learn latest nuances of Design field.

My top take away from today's session are:
1. Automation is a helping hand. Learn it to help you do tasks that need more of your creative thought process.
2. Build your own system for organizing your daily life
3. Saying NO is not rude, it is respecting ownself
4. Set Goal >> HAve strong Values >> Prioritize tasks
5. Motivation is just a temporary thing. Do what is needed even if you do not like

I could say, DFC is one of the best student communities in India, lead by Jagadeesh. Not just the professional learnings but also mentors about a holistic way of approach which are really the great insights specially for those who are starting their careers and also who lost a track with career gaps. His AI knowledge sharings are next level. Wish you all the very best for your future endeavours and thank you for making an impact in students life.

About today's session on design process mastery, learnt a lot new perspective of thinking around the situation and problem gave in the meetings, got to know there are certain processes to be followed for our problem statements to go through.

Another thing wanted to mention is about hackathon which there should be clarity on the path this is going on. Like what we will be doing first UX then UI, as a beginner what you need to do or would have taught some basics of UX and UI for someone who has no idea but directly stepping into hackathon for learning. Right now it feels like doing whatever is asked and completing some college project. The submissions create more pressure as the deliverables have to be uploaded every week like a college project. You can directly connect to every team in zoom for understanding what is going on for much better clarity as on Monday only few teams can be addressed due to time constraints.

Taking this course was one of the most eye-opening experiences I’ve had. It’s not just theory , it’s incredibly realistic and practical. From day one, you get hands-on experience that pushes you to think beyond the surface and really understand how things work in the real world.

Throughout the journey, I had multiple reality-check moments that completely changed the way I approached problem-solving and research. It’s not sugar-coated , you actually get to see what the real process looks like, with all its challenges and breakthroughs.

Jagadeesh sir's guidance has been phenomenal.
