I rented a 4 year old car for 1 year. I only had one incident where I scratched the right side while parking at a mall, and we fixed it.
After returning the car, they refuse to return my deposit, and they report a lot of tiny damages.

I compared the pictures in the report with the pictures in the "Guia de Uso Normal e Prudente" and it seems to me that all those items fall in the category of "Danos cobertos pela ALD Automotive". (I tried to add links to the report and that doc, but Trustpilot does not allow links here, you can check my reviews in Google and Portal da Queixa.)

I didn’t hire a professional inspection when I picked up the car, maybe I should have, nor did I have a magnifying glass with me that day. I just had a quick look inside a parking and believed in good faith. Anyway, if I had saw those damages, I would have assumed they were normal for a 4 years old car, and that would fall under the “Uso Normal e Prudente” category.

I asked them the previous report to my rental, but they refused it to show it to me. The initial delivery report showed a damage in the right side (so unfortunate it’s the side I fixed because of my incident), so that means the car was not fully repaired before being given to me. I really doubt all the rest was in perfect condition.
