Leeds Castle Avis 

Fireworks to music, event is very overpriced, we arrived at 2pm as suggested by the website, they had really overhyped the event, a range of food vans in a field, and fairground rides-all for children, some grounds of castle open as stated in website but not enough to kill 3 and half hours before fireworks began!. Fireworks were nicely set to music and firework team did good job, but went on for too long really. Leaving was marshalled but took a long time and then directed down a very narrow backroad which took us miles away from M20 and we took 20 minutes to find our way back. Definitely won't bother again.

Our first visit to Leeds castle as a family of 4.
They had a Halloween trail with magical characters and spine tingling tales and clues the kids had to solve along the way.
All staff we met were polite and helpful. We didn't visit the restaurant or cafe but grounds are stunning.
We stayed for the segway twilight tour which you book separately. You get entry for 1 year. Looking forward to going back.

Visited on New Year bank holiday. There was no food available whatsoever from the cafe. Why were the overpriced restaurant and cafe even open? They can't have been surprised by the bank holiday. Another potentially nice cafe served only ice creams and coffee, at any time.
Nice castle, average grounds. Just make sure you eat before going.

I last went to the fireworks 10 years or so ago. I have to say this year I was very disappointed.

First of all the website says come at 2pm. I thought by doing so I could see the castle or do one of the marked walks. Everything was shut unless you are a kid!

The entrance was just slippery wet mud!!

Instead of lasers on the castle there was boring messages to read whilst waiting for the fireworks to start.

As for the fireworks, the coloured lights spoilt it. The fireworks were too spread out and it went on for far too long. This event used to be the best there is. Bournemouth free fireworks after the airshow were far superior than what I saw today for £27 was it?

The fair, pathetic and food too dear!

Not your fault but I was at the front by the fence so I could see the castle and most. I found myself penned in and I couldn’t move. This blonde short haired woman was so close to me I could smell her breath. She kept digging me in the back through the the whole display. No need for that. Fireworks are in the sky! I’ve avoided Covid so far and don’t get too close to people. Today changed all that. That woman who was so close to me and squished me so I couldn’t move, she better not have Covid.

As for leaving the carpark. I was sent out the carpark, a different way, not the route I came in. Down the worst wet muddy road and then through a gridlocked village 3 miles more than my journey there. I’ve now got to wash my car!!! Thanks.

Will I go again. Nope!!
