Slow Turnaround with No Answers and No Help
I contacted servicing with very specific questions and requests and they have not actually answered anything I said. Turn around time was incredibly slow. And now my old loan servicer has not been paid and I have two loan payments coming due on the same loan when I am already constantly strapped for money. If I had $950 to throw around like confetti I wouldn’t have a student loan. Very, very disappointed with my experience.
October 19, 2026 update:
Despite the reply below, I have still heard nothing from Lendkey about my loan. I paid Lendkey their first monthly payment, meanwhile my previous loan still has not been paid off by Lendkey, and I have another $980 payment due to the previous lender in 15 days. This experience is causing me significant financial difficulties, when refinancing my loan was supposed to help put me into a better place financially month to month. Would not recommend using this loan servicer to anyone.

I financed a in-ground pool with LendKey in July of 2026 for the past two months have yet to see a bill. Definitely will be refinancing elsewhere once completion I mean who don't send a bill monthly???

Horrible experience with this company. They do not know what they are doing!!! No one knows anything when you call for help. Total mess up with my son’s loan from the beginning. Still trying to get his loan after 3 months of bullshit. They give you the total run around and you still will end up with no loan. I highly adv Are you to NOT go with Lend key for loan assistance.

Bad from the start
The initial process was easy but ever since then it has been nothing but issues. It all started with them not taking the correct payment because they had the wrong loan amount. Once they found the issue, it was corrected but left me with a one time payment that was 4x the normal amount. Now they are saying I am past due for an amount of $.49. How am I going to be past due when my account has been on autopay from the start?

Technology is lacking. No mobile app. Recently updated their authentication flow and constantly loops you between old and new login pages. Super confusing and inefficient. Also, their refreshed interface still lacks basic features like principal only payments.

Awesome Student Debt Consolidation Service!!!
Lendkey offers student debt consolidation that I found was easier than asking my local credit union. Easier in that the interest rate (plus an additional decrease in interest rate for autopay) made the loan way more manageable and I wasnt being nagged about reminders. Though it is true that they withhold early payments until the next pay-date, I found that it eased my mind to submit an early payment on top of my auto pay to contribute to the principal in a bigger way. I could forget about it after submitting and wait until my funds replenished to submit another extra payment.

They hold your payment & do not credit…
They hold your payment & do not credit until the payment due date. So if you want to pay extra or early, you’re out of luck. It is so they can charge you interest those days between when they receive your payment & actually credit it to your account. Then their system messes up the payment.

The interest rate is the lowest I've ever had on a school loan! I've also been able to put it into forbearance and only pay the interest for 6+ months while I've been struggling to get steady contract work.
